Her service was friendly and flawless. She listened carefully to what I wanted then went out of her way to make sure I was happy with the results. Her (environmentally friendly foam) foil job was done to perfection and her wash, scalp massage and hair handling was akin to a Gold-Seal chef creating in her own home kitchen. I knew I was in seasoned, talented hands, and best of all, I trusted Erynn's opinion, so I asked her advice about cut and styling, and she literally taught me step-by-step how to achieve the mop I want in 15 minutes or less. At the beginning of this year, I decided that I was going to chop my hair off to where it was almost buzzed and I really wanted to go to a good place to get such a huge haircut. That's when I found M.U.D.! I was obviously scared because I've never been there before but everyone was so helpful and friendly and really listened to what I wanted. Erynn was amazing and made me feel so comfortable with the huge change I was going to get to my hair. Erynn's haircuts also grow out very well. I've only had it trimmed once or twice since I've gotten it cut and it still looks really good and has a really nice shape to it. I've recently gone back to her to get my hair coloured and she was very knowledgable about what was reasonable and what can be done with my hair. Overall it's a nice salon. The staff are friendly and customer service has always been good there like any good hair salon should be.

But for being a "master stylist", Debbie has messed up my haircut not once, but twice. I gave her the benefit of the doubt but that was a mistake and i hated my hair until it could grow out and mask the issues. Any good stylist should not have that problem. That was 2 months ago. I'm writing this review now because i went to a korean salon and they cut my hair 100x better than what i had before Uneven sides, bad blunt cuts, poor layers that made my hair lay flat, and she seemed to be unsure of doing hairstyles that weren't your typical asian haircut. She'll follow instructions one moment, then ignore a different set of instructions the next this salon is overpriced. I was charged $300 for hair services which i later found out was a scam because other salons do it at $150. you pay 30 for a men trim that only covers your side and back that Debbie rushes through and finishes in 10 minutes. This is ok for fades but just go to a barber for cheaper... any korean hairstyle out there that isn't two block will look off with only your side and back trimmed but the top growing too long If you're not specifically looking for an asian stylist, yes, I could recommend this salon if not for the surplus in costs. But if you have korean/asian hair like me I recommend just going to an actual korean salon.

Chrome is the sister salon to Beauty Lounge on Jasper, both salons are owned by William Halabi. William is amazing with his customer service, even as he takes care of his own clients he makes sure that he is overlooking everyone to make sure we are all satisfied and that his employees are doing ok as well. Flint has been around for a long time but everything is always a learning experience and he is so open to taking advice from William to make sure that his clients are satisfied. I love that they do not try to push product sales. I recommend everyone call them even during the pandemic they are very careful and organized.

Shocking how bad the haircut was and then the Owner kicked me out, with wet hair, because I complained about the cut not being what I asked for and asking for my haircut to be fixed. (See pics) William the Owner accused me of belittling the staff and was verbally abusive toward me. That is not who I am and I did not speak badly to anyone. And in case anyone says otherwise, the entire interaction was captured on video when I documented the haircut. The Owner is highly unprofessional and has no business ethics. Apalling behavior. I get a good haircut here with Riley, and I do keep coming back…read more I do think it's worth mentioning that the last couple of times I've had a haircut booked, they call me and move it within about an hour of the appointment. There is no reason given, and although I understand things happen and come up, it doesn't reflect well on the business if I can't rely on them to consistently make their appointments. Not to mention their own cancellation policy requires 24 hours in advance. Although I intend to return to get my haircut this time, I'm not sure that I will continue to come back if appointments keep getting moved like this.

I left devastated and honestly my hair looked and felt better before the salon experience rather than after the salon experience. Not only did I leave devastated, I was charged $77 dollars for a hair cut I wish I never got. The salon was clean but the vibe of the salon and staff working there was cold. HQ Salon may want to consider training staff around current hair cutting and styling skills and techniques. I won't be back.
