She didn't rush us at all and let us take our time sampling several flavors, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Once we finally narrowed it down, we ended up blending a couple of juices, and let me tell you--they were so refreshing and hit the spot perfectly in this Arizona heat! If you're walking around the mall and need a cool, tasty treat, this is definitely the place to stop by. The customer service alone makes it worth it. Give this spot a try if you're ever in the area... and as always, you can thank me later

They refunded the order and even went the extra step of sending me a free redo of my original order (and a bonus bag of beans on top of that!). Super happy that it all worked out. I know they're a local company and their coffee is really good, so I really want to support them! ********** I've ordered their coffee several times and the coffee is really good. I appreciate their being a local roaster and their focus on sustainability. I'm giving them a bad review however because I had a subscription with them and they delivered the wrong order (wrong origins and ground instead of whole bean). I've tried repeatedly to get in touch with them about this, but they've completely ignored me.

I think the one I got was called the big wave? It had coconut and some kind of sweetener in it, and I had it with oat milk. It's really good! I'm usually not in the area during business hours but today a friend and I visited in the morning. They have parking behind the building but the street was closed so we parked in a nearby lot. Skoden is inside Central Records so it's got a cool vibe to it. A few people were already there and a couple ordering ahead of us. I heard about their fundraiser and ordered their Diné tea affogato, made with Navajo tea ice cream and double shot espresso. I've always wanted to try affogato and today was the day. I also ordered their mini blue corn donuts with berry glaze (6 for $4) because they're very good. And I got one of their cute stickers ($3). Service was friendly and welcoming. The affogato was pay as you can donation which is a nice touch. The espresso was strong but mixed with the ice cream was a good balance. I love that they use real cups and plates here, very eco friendly. There's also a water dispenser with reusable cups at the counter. The bathroom was cute with a cabinet plastered with cool stickers. This indigenous and queer women-owned business prioritizes community, well-being and anti-colonialism. They have done fundraisers for Palestine and for mutual aid and care about each other. Overall we enjoyed our time here and I def want to return!

Big Family Teas have been a big hit with my family. Their hibiscus, blueberry and pomegranate is collectively our favorite. Apple, cherry, hibiscus is probably my second favorite. You can really taste the honey and vanilla without it being overpowering. The baristas were friendly and quick, even with the morning rush. She finishes making my drink and says "I don't have lids but I do have straws". You should have mentioned that before I paid and before you wasted your time making it. I told her I didn't want it. I didn't even ask for a refund; I just didn't want the coffee. She offered to put it in a hot cup and I told her I didn't want it. When I told her that, she got really hostile and started asking "why?" I told her I just didn't prefer it and she kept asking "why?" with a lot of attitude and hostility. It's not the same experience. If it was, universally we would be drinking hot and iced coffee in the same hot cup. We wanted coffee to go in a cold coffee cup. You can't provide that, so we left. She didn't offer a refund, which is fine, but she asked before we left "what can I do to make it right since you paid for it?" You could have offered a refund but you so it's fine. Went somewhere else to get the kind of experience I want. It was $15 for two coffees, a $1 extra charge for alternative milk and an add shot of espresso. They also say they don't allow dogs but they allow "service" dogs and there was clearly a dog there that wasn't a service dog wearing a service dog jacket, but he kept shaking his fur all over the coffee bar. The woman who had him was letting people pet it and the dog was licking stuff off the floor and also smelling a people as they walked by. Clearly not a service dog. Would never recommend getting coffee here.

Matcha Bae Cafe is honestly one of the most welcoming and memorable places I've ever been to. From…read morethe moment I walked in, the energy felt different in the best way possible. Bernedette and everyone helping out there were genuinely some of the kindest, most genuine people I've met. You can tell they really care about every single customer, not just in how they serve the drinks, but in how they treat people. It felt less like just going to a cafe and more like being welcomed into a positive, friendly environment. And the matcha is on a whole different level. You can tell it's made with care and real attention to quality. It's smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, not too bitter and not too sweet, just exactly how matcha should taste. It honestly might be the best matcha I've ever had. Every sip felt intentional, like they truly take pride in what they're creating. What really stood out to me though was the combination of amazing drinks and even better people. That's rare. A lot of places might have great drinks but average service, or nice people but nothing special on the menu. Matcha Bae Cafe somehow does both at a really high level. It made the whole experience feel special and something I'd want to come back to again and again. You can tell this isn't just a business to them, it's something they genuinely care about and put their heart into. That shows in every detail, from the atmosphere to the quality of the drinks to the way they interact with customers. I'll definitely be coming back, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants not just great matcha, but a great experience overall.
