Poor service, poorly-made cocktails (we were there for a birthday party, and my former barman friend ended up showing us how to make Mojitos properly, after the poor display from the Revs barman), and terrible attitude from the management.
We were there for my wife's 32nd Birthday. We were sat around an upstairs table, and had been there for about 3 hours, when my best mate decided to go outside for a smoke. When he came back, we were informed that he was going to have to leave because he had tracksuit trousers on. I was annoyed, and my wife was devastated...she loves my mate, but hadn't seen him in 3 months. She was upset that the staf would ask him to leave, as he had already paid for a fair few drinks, plus had been there for hours.
It was a special occasion, and nobody would have even noticed had he not gone outside. We asked a staff member if we could speak with a manager, who promptly came upstairs. He told us it was fine, and my mate could stay, before returning downstairs.
Five minutes later, some jobsworth guy came upstairs and said he'd have to leave, not taking no for an answer. He told me "there is no need for shouting", even though there was thumping loud music playing, and then made my wife cry.
Needless to say, we all left, and none of us will be returning. The management there (bar the one guy who said my mate could stay) have clearly never heard of customer service. The whole experience nearly ruined our evening. To top it all, the jobsworth staff member who kicked my mate out had the audacity to tell him he could go and buy some trousers in town...
