Both pizzas and burger were also offered as takeaway, but no delivery service. There is a sizeable outdoor beer garden which was just starting when we were just visiting (end of April / start of May). Especially on weekends and holidays it can get quite crowded, so be sure to prenotate a table. We would (and did) come again.

There is a restaurant section to the pub, which I haven't tried, so I cannot comment on this, but it looks nice and the food on the menu sounds really tasty. The Frog and Bog (as the locals call it ) is situated next to the river, and there are benches outside on the river front, perfect for a warm summers evening. The staff members are all friendly, and they have a great selection of drinks available. Well worth a visit.

They have a great selection of dishes available, with british classics such as bubble and squeak, stake and kidney pudding and faggots, as well as an amazing specials board. They also have a set menu, which you can choose to have two or three courses from, and it's really reasonably priced (£15.00 for three courses, £12 for two). The service is great, and the waiting staff are really knowledgeable about the products they sell. There is plenty of parking by the pub, with an overflow carpark in a field (there are paths, so it's not too bad), and it is easily accessible for wheelchair users.

There are two parts to the pub, the pub and the restaurant, and you can choose to eat in either depending upon your room. The food is incredibly reasonably priced, and each night of the week they have a different 'night' (steak, fish and chips, curry etc.) with the chosen item being at an even lower than normal price. If you do wish to go for these then I recommend that you phone and book and tell them that you are wanting the special, as otherwise you may be disappointed to find that when you get there they have run out of the special for the day. We have found them to be incredibly accommodating regarding any food requirements you may have, and if they are given notice they will ensure that they make you something that suits your needs (even being able to discuss with one of our party a few Vegan options they could make her, when most places would struggle to come up with one). The food is all cooked as you wait and we are yet to have a bad meal there. At the back of the pub they have a field, which they rent out to campers and caravanner's. Though basic it is really all that you need, and being so close to the pub is definitely a bonus. The toilets available to the campers are in need of a refurbishment, and there are no shower facilities. With beams and an uneven floor this is definitely like walking into a bygone era and well worth a visit. You won't regret it!

Wixford itself is a pretty village about 10 miles south of Stratford so well worth the drive if you are heading out for the day on a special occasion. Plenty of car parking and in the summer they use a field as overflow parking.

Steaks, burgers and the usual hunters chicken are all on there, and all the main courses cost £7.95 (Which is a refreshing return to reality compared to when they used to have a burger on the menu for near £13!!!). Still has the nice modern arty decor inside from its 2008 refurb, so it still feels a bit classy, like a trendy wine bar, but now without the extortionate prices! Great beer garden by the river, good service, a good pint, and not breaking the (river)bank! what more could you want?! :).
