From the times I've come this has…read morebeen a very lively location, plenty of the teens from the high school and adults come here to play. They have a variety of different leagues from men to women and even coed. It's a typical indoor soccer facility and was originally a skating ring which makes it a perfect shape for soccer play. I've noticed the location develops more and more each time from improvements to the turf, and the surroundings of the location. It can get a little chilly from time to time, but they also offer a handful of different types of Hispanic food, candy, and hot cocoa for decent prices! It's also very spacious for the kids to come out and enjoy while their family or parents play soccer and get a good workout in. If you're into futbol I recommend this location, you can go out and have a good time or just play to stay in shape.

School of Rock Rockwall I never thought I would be writing…read morea negative review for SOR Rockwall but I feel my granddaughter needs to be heard. She cherished the past 61/2 years with SOR Rockwall. However, she has been in the program for the past 7 years. When a senior leaves the program there are 2 major events that occur. One is the student will receive a plaque depicting their time there. She received the plaque with the wrong last name and she said, "it's okay they are really busy with the new studio". In all fairness one of the owners had a medical emergency and we totally understand. She was given a corrected photo and told she could replace it. Second, is the senior gets to choose a senior song where they are showcased during the concert. She never even got to tell them her song choice. Again a lot of changes so we were disappointed but okay. Her final concert was July 27, and as we walked out, no one from the SOR said anything to her. She was on social media and another senior from the same SOR had their plaque correct and a senior song. There was postings of the SOR staff celebrating the other students at the same venue we were at. The last 6 months are her final moments at SOR, and her memories at this time are true devastation. It was a fantastic setting for this type of an event. This location setting is on what I think is one of the prettier parts of Rowlett that has still been preserved in its natural state. There are plenty of native trees creeks and other beauties of nature that give this place a unique setting. The event rooms all back up to a beautiful view of the natural setting of this building. The place is designed with room dividers that make them able to make the room the size you need to accommodate whatever type of crowd you are expecting. It is a great event place as well as having a very nice gym for people in the Rowlett Community.

I like Aqua-Tots for the most part. The instructors and the ladies at the desk are all very nice,…read morethe building is clean and their process is well organized. My biggest gripe is the actual class itself with a ratio of 4 kids to 1 instructor. I knew this going in but had hoped it would be okay considering the limited number of options for nearby swim schools. But in actuality the ratio means that my child spends most of the class sitting on the side of the pool waiting for their turn instead of actually spending time in the water or swimming. There's been classes where I've seen the instructor talk to the kids while she's in the water half the time, more than actually swim with them. There's also been a few times where the teacher has ended the class early and gets everyone out of the pool like 5-6 minutes ahead of time so they can rinse off. Then the teacher talks to each parent about what they did in the water that day. So it's good to get feedback but it also takes out of their swim time. Some instructors keep the kids in the whole 30 minutes then go rinse off but most of them take them out of the water a few minutes early. The prior school we went to had a 2:1 ratio. If the instructor was swimming with one child, the other child would spend that time getting rings in the water and swimming back to put them in a basket, or practicing their kicks while holding on to the side of the pool or treading water, etc. They had the child do SOMETHING instead of just sitting there. It kept one child busy while the other one was learning and the ratio was small enough so that the instructor could keep an eye on both kids and safety was never compromised. The other school also had instructors or staff members who would walk around the pool, paying attention to each class ensuring it was still a safe environment so that no kid was struggling to swim or wander off in the pool. We moved so unfortunately had to leave that place. Overall aqua tots is a good place if you are looking for your child to get used to the basics. This review isn't meant to sound negative but just trying to be honest so that whoever reads this has realistic expectations. I'm not sure how much my kid is actually progressing but will update and possibly add more stars if I can see that the swim classes are helping.

Our son will be starting in the rising toddler class, and it's been great seeing how much intention they're putting into both learning and development at such an early age. We weren't expecting there to be such intentional curriculum for infants and toddlers ! The school itself looks impressive - clean, safe, and engaging playgrounds and equipment for young children. Most importantly, we just feel confident sending our son here. It already feels like a great community from all the events and we're looking forward to being part of it!
