I loved this place, I never had a bad experience with anyone and the drinks are good! The young ladies and the young man's working were always so helpful even the owner made some good suggestions. Some drinks are a little too sweet but you can always adjust it and let them know. This was until yesterday my sister went and was treated a little differently than our previous visits. The older lady who took her order was rude and rushed her to order. She had a terrible attitude and seemed to be in some rush. But as soon as she saw some white people walk in her tone completely changed. She greeted them nicely asked how they were doing and was over all much more friendly to them and was much more accommodating than she was to my sister. It truly makes me sad to hear this interaction especially since we people of color, only to be treated differently and it showed. I cannot express to you how much I love this place. The shop is locally owned and operated by a family. They are the friendliest people. Their Ethiopian macchiato is my favorite drink. It is rich and authentic. I have tried their mango smoothies and just had a frozen coffee drink today. The quality of their espresso is best in class. Highly recommend trying if you appreciate "real" coffee. They offer punch cards if you want to be a frequent customer and receive a free beverage after so many visits. The shop is clean. I stumbled on this place because I had an early 6 am meeting near the airport and it's conveniently located off the freeway. I was greeted by the baristo (male barista?) They have a small menu, but everything is so good. I went with the Zebra Mocha first day and the Milky Way the second day. Both insanely good and wasn't overly sweet. I also tried two of their breakfast sandwiches (first croissant egg, spinach, turkey bacon, cheese, second day English muffin, spinach, avocado, egg, cheese, bacon). All made to order with love. This was a nice little coffee shop I always passed by for work. I stopped in to give it a try and I am happy I did. I got the hot dolce de Leche coffee. It wasn't overly sweet which was good and it had a good coffee flavor. I don't drink to much coffee but this one I did enjoy. My girlfriend got the same drink cold, she said she liked it but she said it had a bit of an after taste she wasn't used to. She did grab a chicken Cesar wrap, and she said it tasted really good, she said the chicken in it was her favorite part. I love this location. Plenty of room and convenient since it's right off the highway. I had a blueberry muffin and a zebra mocha. The muffin was so fresh and melts in your mouth. This is not the coffee shop if you're looking for pure sugar coffee. You can taste the coffee beans with a little mocha flavor. So good. The best coffee I have had in a long while. The staff was different every day I was visiting my friend in MO but each person greeted us with kindness. I was in MO for 4 days and 3 of the 4 I got the Ethiopian Macchiato. Even the iced version was impeccable. I really wanted to like this place as the people running it seem very nice and the reviews are great. Small strip mall coffee shop. Crowded when we were there. But my cappuccino was bitter and I could only drink half - the person I was with felt the same about their espresso. Maybe the sugary/fancy drinks are better. What a charming little coffee shop! This is a new-ish St. Louis location of a roaster/coffee shop based out of the KC area (this is their 5th location). The beans are fair trade, and you can buy bags of coffee beans for home sourced from a few different countries. The shop is cozy, the people are nice, the coffee is tasty -- I got a zebra mocha -- and while they're based out of KC, they keep it St. Louis with pastries from Bonne Bouchee (so you know the croissants are solid) and cheesecake from Hank's. My daughter & I went to RevoCup this morning (the new coffee shop by where Hotshots was). Loved it! Great coffee, friendly staff & really lovely decor. They roast & sell their own beans there & have a cool set up in the back to show you how it's done. Blown away. Quaint shop tucked away in a small strip mall. I'm a drip coffee guy - nothing fancy. I took my first sip and knew right there that was I was drinking was an Ethiopian coffee bean. Why? Because I'm obsessed with the Ethiopian coffee bean. The bright citrus notes in almost every style - Guji, Yirgacheffe, Sidamo, Harrar, etc. I look at the bags they sell...mostly Ethiopian beans. Add a welcoming host/owner/coffee maker and I'm in my happy place. Kudos to this place. I don't care where I am in this city, I'll know how to get to this place. read more
