I've been back home for a couple days now, but I miss it terribly. If I lived in or even just 30 minutes closer to Longview, I would not hesitate to purchase one of their packages so that I could take classes whenever I wanted. If you love yoga, and you have compassion for yourself and are looking for that perfect spot, please, please, please do yourself a favor and go to Holos Yoga. Heck, even if you're just in town visiting friends or family - do it! You're body and mind will thank you! Also, before I forget to mention, their instructors are absolutely fantastic, they were super welcoming and themselves full of compassion for their students, and passion for the practice. Just the loveliest folks! So, seriously, why are you still reading this and NOT booking a class?!

The class was the Detox Flow (more advanced) at 5:30pm class on a Wednesday. I liked the teacher, Shae, and felt welcomed and encouraged even though some of the other people in the class were rocking some great inversions and other moves (that I can't do..). The practice room was larger than most other studios and there were 5 of us total. It wasn't as warm as Corepower, which I didn't mind at all. Bikram is usually 105, Corepower is usually 95, and I'd guess Holos was probably around 90. Kinda of perfect. But I also like non-heated classes, which they have here, too. There is a changing room and the bathrooms are outside the space (and you need a key).

Heather is a cheerful and patient teacher, perfectly able to make comfortable even those very new to the practice of yoga. One of her loveliest classes consists of mindful breathing and relaxation; letting the body loosen up and let go of all the tension that we hold without knowing. I practiced with Julie as I became more familiar with the basic poses. Her style is gentle, encouraging, and promoting of mindfulness - of listening to your body and not pushing yourself to injury. I am particularly grateful to Julie because after I suffered a knee injury that greatly limited my ability to practice yoga, she helped me design a series of poses with extensive modifications so that I could strengthen my body without exacerbating my pain. Also, I confess that I admired Julie's selection of music for her class so much, that I asked her to share her playlist with me for my home practice (which she generously did). I recommend Heather and Julie's classes wholeheartedly, no matter the level of fitness or previous experience with yoga. The best way to keep up to date with their schedule is via their facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/breathinginvancouver).

The vinyasa class began right at 8:30am. Desiree began class with a mantra and a suggestion to focus on for "today's practice." I like that! She reminded us often to breath & led us through mindful flows. To the people who were new to Yoga (there were 2 I believe) she was very encouraging and reminded them this was their practice and to find a position comfortable for them. Overall an excellent experience & I'm most likely going to class tomorrow @ 10:00am unless my brother plans something else for me at that time. 4 stars because I couldn't make a purchase from their store because it "doesn't open until 11:00am." I get it. Only certain people have keys to the kingdom, but it would have been great to do a little shopping. The store is filled with lots of yoga & non-Yoga related items. #vacationshopper

There are beginner classes and more advanced classes, some classes focus on the core. The sessions are mostly in the morning and in the early evening. Don't be late! I am a guy, 54, and would recommend this activity to anyone. I believe the first class is free for locals!

Racheal Barnes is an amazing trainer, with multiple certifications and years of experience. Just by attending class, you get tips and can have conversations about any injuries, medical issues, or nutrition guidance. Multiple times a year, she does challenges to help reset and restore nutrition while getting your workout classes in. Any level, any body type, any age can take her classes. It is a judgement free zone. There are multiple classes to choose from including suspension strength training, booty building, HIIT, and Zumba. It's family oriented. I take my kindergartner to evening classes and there is a playroom and teens to watch over him while I work out. Sometimes she has either her cats or dogs there too for some added animal love. Classes are mostly 30 minutes and easy to fit into our busy schedules. The community of people who attend are kind, funny and supportive as we all work towards our own goals. This place has been a lifeline for me through some hard times, and I cannot express my gratitude enough. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
