They do so much for the seniors and quite frankly everyone in the community! The center is open for everyone! Regardless of age and you can get amazing meals daily! The gift shop is amazing too! Don't forget to visit when you are in town! read more

No idea what's behind the solo one star review posted by someone who seems to be upset because the center couldn't provide a free lift chair for one of his relatives. He's not very clear so perhaps he was looking for a referral for a purchase. In any case, his review really doesn't speak to the facility itself. Just to an unfulfilling conversation he had with someone who just happened to answer the phone when he called. I've always found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. Well kept grounds. The living quarters and common areas are well appointed, clean and comfortable. Lovely river views and a nice promenade for walking. What's not to like? read more

The Rainier Senior Center is great place filled with positive people. Most of my experience with them comes from participating in their Holiday Sales and Rummage Sales. I've rented tables multiple times, and it has always been a nice experience. The times when I have been able to eat there (pre-pandemic) the food was delicious and sold at a very good price. I have heard of the kind people who work here, and enjoyed volunteering here when I went to Rainier high school. But when I called in reference to a possible lift chair for my father who has brain cancer, which I didn't mention, my call was answered by a fellow named "Aaron". He was terribly rude to me and not understanding at all about what I was asking. He was short with me and said "he wouldn't begin to be able to know where to look for that." And I thought.. "Really?! In a senior center?!" I was told to check there by a friend from a community service group I had previously been a part of, and was sorely disappointed and frustrated to get this reaction when I called the other day. When I had been told they do, in fact, make donations of this sort. Again, I know of many good employees there and the care they provide. But again, I was served with terrible and insensitive customer service from this particular employee. Bummer. read more
