This fitness coach will not provide you with the refund for the services that were not used. I had to move out of the state and I was told that he will not give me all of the refund at once due to "personal large expenses" he encountered and will pay me back in 2 parts. I had a wonderful experience with her personal training sessions. She is down to earth and unlike any other fitness coach I have met. She was realistic, organized, punctual, readily available, encouraging, flexible, and informative. Amanda knows her stuff. There were times in the beginning, when I started eating the way she suggested and I started freaking out feeling like it was unmanageable but she would talk me through it and I came through the experience with a much better understanding of food. I finally, after 44 years, feel at peace with food without tracking and counting calories. No longer do I obsess over certain foods. Amanda teaches you what your body needs (and it isn't cutting entire food groups out). She taught me awesome weight lifting exercises and body strength exercises too. What she taught me I can use at home or any gym. She didn't lead me on trying to hook me into buying more sessions - she simply taught, gave me copies of what she taught, and moved on to the next session. She explained a lot about stretching, taking care of your body after workouts, and more. Amanda delivered everything promised and more. I walked away with a new understanding of how to fuel my body, without going hungry, and what the best workouts are. She kicked my butt in the gym but was encouraging the entire time - she made me want to push myself but not in a mean way. Her gym is awesome - everything you need to get fit. I can't say enough good things about Amanda. I would highly recommend her. She is very personable and friendly yet professional. Definitely a good personal trainer for any age or gender. She knows her stuff and will get you in shape if you listen to her and work hard. I am down several lbs, clothes are looser, feeling good about myself, getting strong, and no longer obsessing over counting calories or the latest fad diet. She has given me sanity in the health department and I can't put a price tag on that.

I write this review on Bo and Fitness Ablaze after working out with him for more than a year now…read more I have had the pleasure (or is it pain?) to attend both his boot camp class and individual training sessions. I was introduced to his class by my wife who loves the structure and accountability that his boot camp provides. My takeaway, as someone who was already going to the gym, is Bo's focus on having you workout with an increased heart rate is really beneficial! My normal gym workouts were like many typical guys where you do a set then take a rest. Bo, who prescribes to the Alwyn Cosgrove workout philosophy, focuses on keeping your heart rate up during the ENTIRE workout. A real challenge even for those of us who were used to a gym routine prior to taking his class. I have been pleased with the results and I feel both healthier and stronger. The good news is the workouts are fairly quick, 40 minutes or so. The challenging news is you will be pushed regardless of your abilities and likely to your limits. And that is the whole point. Your body responds in spades when pushed to its perceived limits. Another feature I have enjoyed about Bo's class is although it is challenging on your body it is typically NOT hard on your body. As someone who has sustained his share of injuries, I can assure you Bo's class is likely not going to injure you. Many of the exercises simply use your own body weight. In addition, Bo pays particular attention to your workout form as well as him having the unique ability to create a workout (even on the fly) around an injury you may have. My final observation that I have noticed with Bo is that his youthful enthusiasm for living a healthy lifestyle tends to rub off on you. Or in this case, on me. It's as if he is not jaded by the litany of excuses one can pour on him and rather he is simply enthused about you becoming a healthier human being. His enthusiasm becomes contagious. You will find yourself in the unique position of actually not wanting to miss a class! I have never seen Bo slack on his focus or determination for helping others improve their health. Ironically he takes our health as seriously as we all should... In conclusion, Bo is willing to help you rise above all the noise society throws at you and really focus on what's important. In this case, it's a focus on you and YOUR health! At the end of the day, what's more important then that?

I'd been attending an Adventure Boot Camp in San Jose for the past year, and knew I needed to keep the exercise going. Plus, I was hoping to meet some people since I knew no one here. I discovered the Lake Oswego Adventure Boot Camp after a disappointing try at a different camp. I've been with them since August and what a fun summer and fall it's been! The fantastic trainers are Katie and Noelle; they are very energetic, supportive, and funny, even at 5:30am! Every workout has been unique; I can't think of one complete repeat. That keeps things interesting, challenging, and definitely not boring. I've consistently burned 400+ calories (as per my heart rate monitor) each workout, which for me is awesome. If you can't do a move, they provide alternate exercises to avoid injury. We use weights, move around the park (but will be moving indoors for the winter next month), and have fun doing it. They have camps at 5:30am, 7am, and 8:30am, 4 days a week. And if you want an evening class, they have their "Power Half-hour", which I haven't taken, but I hear it's quite challenging and fun too. I drive 10 miles to get to their location (Foothills Park for outdoor, and the Wizer's building for winter) - at 5:30am. The best part is that when the hour is over, you've gotten a great workout done, and you're wide awake and ready to start your day. Thanks Katie & Noelle!
