The highlight of my visit was the massage. My therapist was phenomenal, she listened to my concerns, focused on the areas I needed most, and made me feel completely relaxed. I also appreciated the adjustable massage table, which made a huge difference since I have lower back pain. It was one of the most comfortable massage experiences I've had. I also enjoyed the complimentary champagne, delicious food, and excellent service at the rooftop pool. The attendants were incredibly attentive, and the drinks were very good. My only minor complaint about the rooftop pool is that it doesn't really have a view. My biggest disappointment was the sauna and steam room. Neither one got hot enough to be enjoyable. I spent over 30 minutes in the steam room without even getting warm or breaking a sweat, and the sauna wasn't much better. For a luxury spa, I expected these amenities to perform much better. Overall, I had a wonderful experience thanks to the outstanding staff and exceptional massage. If the sauna and steam room were properly heated, this would easily be a five-star spa.

This used to be our go-to spa -- until today. We had two…read morepedicures and a spa day which has been our tradition every yr , we come here for spa days and treatments on our birthdays... So today we booked it as part of a birthday and Mother's Day weekend celebration. When our technician called out, staff member Madison called us at 9:02 AM and offered to upgrade my pedicure into a massage at no extra charge since our technician called in sick. I told her my husband won't go to the pedicure alone and asked how much do we need to pay for him if we also upgrade his service into a massage? Madison proceeded to place me on hold and came back and said don't worry about the upgrade for Mr. Fish and I got immediately excited and so happy and thanked her , told her will be there by 10 AM.. Upon arrival, we were handed a bill for $635 a Kimberly checked us in. I said I spoke to a Madison and she was next to her and confirmed to Kimberly at the front that our price was $240 total based on our earlier conversation She even told me Kimberly that we are getting upgraded to 2 Artisan massages. We went ahead with our massages trusting it was resolved. We had the best time and enjoyed as normal and ended up leaving around 4PM. At checkout, my husband went downstairs and Madison is now presenting him with the $635 bill!!! Of course like anyone in his position he would be shocked! Like what?!!!! He felt like he was having an out of body experience!! Madison's explanation, and I quote " I misspoke"claimed she misspoke and gave my husband the $635 bill telling my husband that her manager Jed told her while we were getting our massages that what she was told by her manager Jed that they can longer provide what was promised to me on the phone and at checkout. This was going while I was still upstairs, and saw my husband upset. I asked what's going on and he said don't worry about it I will handle this, he said it's your birthday and I am not letting them spoil your day . When confronted, Madison denied ever offering the upgrade in front of her manager when my husband said that's what she said. My husband did not even want me in this conversation because it was birthday/Mother's Day weekend and he did not want to spoil my day.. . What was meant to be a special weekend turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. We loved the massages but left feeling disappointed by Madison. I have to say Madison has been so pleasant and super friendly every time we were there, to get this treatment from her, this really hurt me especially on my day and so unexpected. The manager Jed in my opinion did not handle this right. He should have asked Kimberly listened to the call that was made. I don't know but this was handled very poorly in my opinion. Madison had so many chances to make this right but chose not to. What was offered in good faith was taken back without accountability. We hope management reviews the 9:02 AM call recording, because that will tell the whole story or even speak to Kimberly that Madison corrected when we checked in. This is making me feel like I can't trust this company. Moving forward I want to record conversations or make sure I have proof or something because their word is not to be trusted. This leaves my amazing birthday/Mother's Day weekend ending in a bad note because of this.

Day pass for $105.00, AZ resident: Salt room 30 mins Dry sauna 10 mins Jacuzzi 20 mins Cold plunge 10 mins Mineral pool 2 hours- this was by far the icing on the cake. My skin felt silky smooth after, quite literally felt as though I were swimming in silk! Ordered a blueberry smoothie, healthy options provided! It was delicious and light. Menu poolside was decadent, specialty cocktails and healthy bites. LOVED the real pond bordering the pool; little fish and lily pads galore, alongside you swimming, provides a peaceful nature touch. Only reason I provided 4 stars- I wish there were a NO CELL PHONE rule, as to provide peace and quiet around the spa and to ensure privacy. I would also love to see a NOISE & TALKING ORDINANCE around the mineral pool, so we all could truly be in peace and serenity. The pool was a bit too lively, for my taste, in a spa.

My standards are high and have not experience a true Thai massage in the US until Sunday. My therapist was a petite woman named Bebe and she gave me the best, most extensive massage of my life. A few hours before my appointment, I received multiple calls asking me to reschedule to a different time and told it was a different therapist. The cancellation period was already in effect so I had no ability to change anything on my end. I adjusted my work schedule to make it happen, only to then be told Dino decided he would still take my appointment after all at the new time. I confirmed the new time and showed up on time for my now 5:30 appointment. When I arrived, the receptionist told me Dino "went on lunch and never came back," and I was reassigned to another therapist with no notice or explanation. They also told me that the therapist would not be getting to me until after her current client, but assured me not to worry because I would still receive my full time. Before the massage even began, I clearly explained that my upper back was the focus area due to significant knots, and I specifically asked for my neck to be avoided because I recently had a CT scan done on a lump that's bothering me. Despite making this very clear multiple times, about two minutes into the massage the therapist worked aggressively around my neck until I asked her to please stop. The massage didn't start until 5:45pm itself and felt rushed and unintentional, the room and/or therapist smelled strongly like cigarettes, and to top it off, my "90-minute" massage ended at 6:57pm. That comes out to about 72 minutes of actual massage time instead of the full 90 minutes I paid for. I told the receptionist this as she was asking for gratuity and she told me that was 90 minutes, however, the 90 minute mark would've been 15 minutes later than her telling me I was incorrect. A full 90 minute massage that started on time would've ended at 7, however, a late massage starting at 5:45 would've ended at 7:15. Overall, this experience felt incredibly unprofessional, disorganized, and dismissive of both my time and my concerns. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was honestly unacceptable and I hope to bring awareness to those who are expecting a different experience like I was.

Most recently, Zach gave me an extraordinary massage experience. He incorporated a Deep Tissue massage and addressed Tender Points. He also strategically used hot stones on those Tender Points, which loosened them up. I also just got a much needed massage from Nicky who is stellar! She delivered a combo of flowy Swedish w/ Deep Tissue. I appreciate how she honed in on trigger points on my back & worked them out. She's also open to me asking questions about what she's working on b/c I'm curious. Much appreciated! That's the thing - all the therapists can read the body & then cater your massage to what you specifically need. They're not giving cookie cutter massages (the same massage to everyone). All are well versed in anatomy & thus, know how to identify "problem" areas & address them. Thanks Active Bodyworx!
