I asked a friend about this place and she gave it a fantastic review. After going for a few weeks,…read moreI completely agree. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The classes are super fun and varied. The instructors help everyone find and push their own limits. I love this place and I am happy I found it.

True Performance Training came as recommendation from a friend, and Filipe Cotas (the owner and…read moretrainer) did not disappoint! I was looking for someone who would work with my 14 year-old brother on the 5x5 program that his school had assigned for the upcoming soccer session. Filipe was fantastic. He modified the program to better fit my brother's soccer needs and was incredibly patient and down-to-earth. My brother worked with him for about 8 weeks (roughly 3x a week)and felt huge difference during tryouts. The facility is brand new and well equipped plus Filipe's pricing is incredibly reasonable. You pay as you go and there is no need to sign up for an annoying gym membership. Here is what my brother has to say about his time with Filipe: Filipe not only helped me to become a stronger person but a more determined one, as his deep knowledge of fitness combined with his welcoming personality and unending patience created an environment of hard work and perseverance. His emphasis on proper form taught me the importance of not only the weight of what I was lifting but the technique I was using to lift that weight. Additionally, Filipe did not judge me but rather encouraged me to keep going when I made mistakes, giving me pointers to do so, all leading me to not only obtaining the strength I needed but the knowledge and work ethic to continue to develop. So in closing, Filipe's knowledge and understanding of fitness not only create a friendly environment to work out in but a mindset centered on hard work and dedication. P.S. - I recommend arriving 5 minutes early for sessions to accommodate yourself before Filipe starts working with you. Also, do not be afraid to speak up if you are not certain about something, at any point during your work out. Finally, push yourself -- no matter how exhausting it may be, Filipe will be right be your side to encourage you the whole way. So there hasn't been a recent posting for this gym, so I felt the need to comment. I started a job…read morein Mass and needed to find an AF nearby, and it came down to this one, and the one in Grafton. BUT because of the negative Yelp postings for Medway, i avoided it. I can tell you that THAT WAS A BAD DECISION!! (Don' get me wrong - Grafton AF isn't bad) Now, i don't know what happened back in 2012/13, but those postings are NOT for today's Medway AF! It's possibly one of the cleanest gyms that i've been to, with a great variety of equipment to use... ranging from cardio (treadmills, ellipticals, stairmasters & a jacob's ladder, if i'm not mistaken), to machines, to a wide variety of free weight options! Now, it's not a HUGE gym, but for it's size (and it's not tiny), it offers a lot of options for you. And to my surprise, it has an "outdoor gym" - but i've been hitting this gym at 5am, that is only open when there's staff so... makes sense. I'm driving in from CT for my job, so if\when I move to Mass, Medway AF will be my new "home gym"!

She keeps the place very clean. She also works very hard. She knows a lot of her members and on top of that they give veterans discounts. Sandy who manages his gym is awesome and she does care about all her members. It's not just a job to her. It's something that she takes pride in if a person doesn't want to get a good workout that I would recommend anytime fitness my wife and I are at a gym now and we don't like it it's bigger, but it's very dirty and the only reason we are staying here. It's closer to our home yet if we lived closer to Medway we would join The Gym in a heartbeat, because Sony is the best manager I've ever seen and all the years that I've been working out she has the best manager I have ever known and I have been working out for over 40 years. She tops with my wife and I.

I signed up for a first class online for Monday, 5:00. I clicked the "first class" button and…read morereceived subsequent instructions: arrive 30 min early, bring water and a towel, etc. I woke up at 4:00 and arrived there at 4:30, greeted by a very unwelcoming person that kept repeating "We don't do first time classes at 5:00". I told him the system allowed me and showed him but he didn't care and looked at me like I was a moron. I couldn't believe it. I sat in front of OTF for another few minutes in my car in disbelief while I watched him talk to the instructor in the other room thinking "they will come out and tell me to come back in" but no...sat there feeling pathetic. Not only did they make me feel unwelcome, I was embarrassed and made to feel like an idiot.

Just joined after a years long search for a gym that matched CATZ (a now defunct bootcamp style gym…read morein Needham..now a Crossfit). LOVE OTF. I walk in, don't have to think about what to do, just follow the instructions. The leaders are motivating and supportive but they don't go overboard with the shouting or cheerleading. The goal is to earn at least 12 "splat"points per workout. You earn splat points by staying in the orange or red heart rate zone (everyone wears a monitor and your stats are displayed on screen during the class). This is different for everyone, depending on fitness level and effort, among other things and the class can be adjusted for newbies and the fitness elite alike. Half of the class is spent on cardio (typically a treadmill or glider) and the other half is spent on a variety of weight or plyometric style exercises. I've been to 6-8 classes so far and I always leave sweaty and drained, but feeling amazing. The only drawback is it's slightly pricey and they do charge for missed classes (although I find this to be a good way to drive accountability). Highly recommend.

CFTC Truly Cares - More Than Just a Workout!…read more I was a member of CFTC when it first opened in 2012. I loved it then but life got in the way and I left for 8 years or so. I was always waiting for the time when i could return. The time finally came and I was scared to come back because i was so out of shape and gained a lot of weight and not feeling very confident. My fears were for nothing, the moment I walked in I felt welcome and comfortable. It didn't matter the level of my fitness because there are all levels of fitness there. The coaches are top-notch, offering modifications and guidance for every fitness level. They push you to reach your potential while prioritizing safety and proper form. But what I appreciate most is the emotional support and camaraderie. During a difficult time in my life (losing my husband), CFTC became my Happy place. Members and staff offered kind words, listening ears, and even hugs when I needed them most. If you're looking for a gym that truly cares about your overall well-being, look no further. This gym is a haven for anyone seeking a supportive environment to grow stronger in body and spirit. Thank you to Scott St Cyr and the entire team for creating a space that feels like home!
