This place is service with a smile! The ingredients were so fresh and the chicken in my salad bowl so tasty. Tried the lobster bisque and it was spot on. Can't wait to come back and try their smoothies and their sandwiches. The place inside is so inviting and Alaskan-ish. Great place to sit and enjoy your food. They even have a fireplace. Which I hope they turn on during these frigid cold days. I'm hoping to snap some pics next visit.

The place is brightly lit and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, there just isn't much value in it for me. I got a salad bowl, with this format you choose: base: a type of lettuce, I chose mixed greens protein: I chose pulled pork up to 3 toppings: I chose mixed veggies, roasted corn, and feta cheese I was charged $0.79 for the feta and I'm not sure why. It was not listed as a premium topping on the menu board, nor is it on the website. The salad was tasty but I felt like I could eat another one. This is a great place for folks that have smaller appetites, I just need a bigger portion, personally.

They have protein shakes, milk teas, fruit smoothies & tons of other creative options like ube milkshakes, matcha chip condensed milk frappes, frozen hot chocolate, caramel apple frappes & more. Not only do they have an impressive selection of drinks, but they also have self serve frozen yogurt with a great variety of topping choices, a menu of smoothie bowls, chamoy candy & a variety of esquites. The boba is made fresh daily & they have traditional tapioca pearls as well as fruit based popping boba. They also brew the teas in house. My favorites so far have feen the ube milkshake, matcha chip condensed milk frappe, blended brown sugar chai & blended milk tea with brown sugar. Their boba is perfectly chewy & always fresh. The owner is an absolute gem & also hilarious. Their social media caption game is top tier. This shop also has strong ties to the community. They frequently host drives to put together care packages for the houseless community, support local art, share info for mutual aid & do their best to give back to the community. If the drink variety wasn't enough thats a reason in itself to support this local business! Go treat yourself to something delicious! Support your Asian owned boba shops.

Acai Alaska is located in a small trailer/food truck that sits atop a hill on the corner of Brandon St. and Old Seward Highway directly across from Southside Grill. There are new owners who have taken over from the original who operated at a strip mall off of Lake Otis and Dowling several years ago. The employees are super friendly and easy to converse with. The menu hasn't changed much although some of the food items like Musubi and almost all of the sandwich selections except the Grilled Cheese and Grilled Cheese with Ham are no longer available. There is a drive-thru window on one side where you can place your order. I ordered the Mauna Kea Bowl (topped with bananas, blueberries, strawberries, macadamia nuts, walnuts, chocolate-covered almonds, granola with raisins, and coconut shavings) on the Nutty Heaven base (Acai berries, bananas, strawberries, and peanut butter). The ingredients were fresh, filling, and made to order so expect to wait several minutes if there are a line of cars. However, it is worth the wait and easily a delicious healthy alternative for lunch and not just a snack. Other items on the menu include the Tiger Shark (blackberries, kiwi, raspberries, walnuts, almonds, goji berries, bee pollen, chia, and a variety of seeds that includes pumpkin, sunflower, flax, and hemp seeds), the Bonsai (kiwi, chocolate-covered Acai/blueberry, macadamia nuts, and spirulina) with a unique color combination once the ingredients are blended together, the Sleeping Lady Smoothie (Acai blend topped with mango and shredded coconut), and the Fireweed Smoothie (Acai blend topped with acerola and goji berries). Punch cards are offered for return visits. Buy nine bowls, get the tenth one for free. This place is a good option for those who want a healthier meal or a post-workout smoothie that offers a mix of healthy carbs and protein.

Service was quick & friendly. The trailer has one window for ordering & another for pick up. It truly was starting to feel like summer until our little mid March snow dump, but these açaí bowls will help keep your sunny spirits up. With 3 bases & 10 signature bowls to choose from there's certainly something for everyone! They also have smoothies & a cafe menu available as well. The blends are all dairy free & there's no added sugars. On this visit I ordered a 16oz MOFO bowl (blackberries, kiwi, mango, raspberries, strawberries, chocolate covered açaí & blueberries, granola with raisins & almonds, coconut shavings & I added a honey drizzle) with the original açaí blend. For my son I got the 16 oz Hawaiian blend smoothie. I love these smoothies for kids because all the sugar comes from the fruit. Go check this trailer out to get yourself a nice healthy treat!

Here's why: - its clear the staff members are underpaid and not invested. (They were playing Uno when we came in.) Their level of engagement was less than minimal. - Several of the machines were out of service. This is a small shop to begin with. With so few flavors to chose from, its not really very enjoyable trying to figure out what flavors will work together. Not a good selection of flavors that work well together. Yuck - Many of the toppings were stale or rotten or under-ripe. Pineapple, rotten. Strawberries mix of rotten and underripe. And the mochi, MOCHI.... half of it was bad. Did you know it coukd go bad?!?! I didn't. Sigh... Give the lack of engagement of the staff, this did not surprise me. How long did some of that stuff have to be sitting out to go bad? I used to work in food services... there's rules about that stuff! GROSS. do not recommend this Menchies at this time. Super bummer.
