This review is strictly on Jay, not the studio. I was referred by a coworker cause her tats were SUPER gorgeous, she told me to see Seige. I went and told Seige what I was wanting and he said He recommended Jay to do it instead cause Jay was great with line work. Gave my deposit, made my appt and decided a week later I no longer wanted what I went in for and asked Jay how his letter work was, said he would be happy to do it, I sent him what I was wanting and went in a few days later. He provided three different options, all pretty similar but none like the font I sent. I should have left then but he already had my $80 deposit so instead of speaking up for myself, I picked the one that looked the best, still wasn't in love but went with it anyways, fault on my part. Every time I suggested something, Jay shot it down. Which was frustrating in itself. Fast forward. Got the tattoo, I get home and start really looking at it and sending pics to my friends, no one can read the "s" in the middle, I don't know what it looks like but it's not an s. I emailed Jay asking if he could fix it, he got so defensive about it, told me basically it was my fault it looks like it does and he stands by it but will charge me his normal hourly rate to fix it. RUDE. So I went to another tat shop, the artist tells me in 5 years tops, I won't be able to read any of the letters cause of the font type... WHY wasn't this told to me before I got it?! So now I'm going to pay someone else to cover it up completely and put these words on the other side maybe in different font but complete waste of $120. Soooooo mad!! read more

I had a great experience with Austin West. I was referred to her by a local artist at Golden Rule Tattoo. I first reached out to Austin via Instagram by following her account. Within days I knew she was the artist for my tattoos given her style. I then contacted her via email and gave a briefing of the tattoos I was looking to get. Austin was very professional and responded to my email in a timely manner - she had an opening and scheduled me for a consultation to go over the tattoos. Austin was very welcoming and listened to my ideas. She sketched as I talked and immediately was able to bring life to my visions. I was pleased with the sketches and looked forwarded to sitting in her chair. Thankfully Austin had an opening the following month and I was booked! A while back I got a small, insanely simple flower done by Dub (Not pictured) It was incredibly kind of him to do the silly little piece (that I drew myself) for me when he is so astronomically talented. Please check out his dark and amazing work! A couple weeks ago, Austin did a perfect lil kookaburra for me and she absolutely nailed it! (It was the first she'd done) She was flexible with my last minute decision not to do the piece as a cover up, and despite being super busy, she always replied quickly with to any questions, ideas, etc. The detail and coloring are stunning and I couldn't be happier. Austin is also a truly lovely person as well, and that made the three hours fly by. You must go and see these magical artists. You won't regret it! read more

Where to Begin, I came to Siege in 2015 by Referral from my boyfriend. When I first met Siege, it just clicked. 1. His art is unbelievable, I am pretty certain we both (my boyfriend and I) want his art in every room of our house. 2. He has went above and beyond on my crazy requests over the past couple years and never makes me feel like I'm just some #basic broad. 3. If you get to know him, his wonderful wife or co-artists you will get to know some rad ass people in general. They are all sincere and amazing! I always give referrals to his shop whenever someone wants to talk to me about any tattoo I may have but I doubt any of those people actually go in, so I hope this review will give you some insight before making an appointment that his shop is pretty simply put the BEST! read more

This past Friday (2/15/2018) I received nothing but a hateful attitude from both the shop owner (siege ) & the other artist (whatever her name is),after he booked over my appointment at the Revival Art Collective. I arrived 15 minutes early to be "greeted" with an annoyed tone & look . After being informed that siege carelessly booked a different client over my appointment, I got nothing more than a pathetic "sorry". He offered zero remorse while his employee rolled her eyes, as if it's my fault that siege could careless about business etiquette and took time away from me (I had to take PTO from work for this appointment). Furthermore the entirety of the time he was being defensive when I asked if it was possible for him to rectify this situation. After which point he stated "I've said I'm sorry 20 times, what more do you want). I walked away in anger as everything I said received an eye roll, huff or sad "sorry". After collecting my thoughts, I gave him one more chance to do not only the ethical thing but also get his ego in check. I'm the customer, paying for a service that at this point seems intentionally booked over. I call and ask him when he planned to fit me in as this was his mistake. He said in a highly frustrated tone "fine I'll get you in tomorrow". ... After all of this, it took so much just to even get him to do his job. It's astounding he owns a business at all. Clearly after so much anger from him, why would I even try to get a tattoo that will most likely come out terribly as his retaliation. Not to mention, he wanted me to take time off from work again to fit into his schedule. It's ridiculous that I had to bring my girlfriend with me to try and get back my deposit but that's the position I was put into when someone acts so insane. The video outlines how my gf kindly asked for the deposit back, attempted to have a civil conversation but right away, from the first word out Of his mouth , was hostility. Why is someone so aggressive, defensive and angry when they made the mistake to begin with? When after being treated so poorly, anyone would want their money back. Especially for an item that is permanently on you. He purgers himself within the video, saying that I was a no call no show/that I did not cancel within 72 hours... I was there 15 minutes early to an appointment that he himself screwed up. The messages are included as well to whatever he is attempting to lie about. I only conclude that he is making a reference to a year ago, I RESCHEDULED (not cancelled) and it was well within the 72hr limit that's outlined in his policy so that I do not lose my deposit . Additionally he confirmed that everything was successfully moved (once more this was a year ago in regards to my first session). Never once does he take responsibility, instead he gets defensive and cannot have a coherent adult conversation. But that obviously has nothing to do with this appointment, nor the money he owes me. I'm not sure if he is on meth or some other drugs but his eyes were bugging out of his head as he erratically kept shifting them and bobbing his head incessantly as my gf spoke. My gf intimidated him by simply being mature and standing her ground, so when he refused to speak to her and only speak to me, it was clear he was trying to bully me and thats probably why he did all of this. He got caught trying to essentially steal my money. I get it, I'm a small woman who people think they can take advantage of but I will not be treated this way. My gf had to stand in front of him because he kept trying to get closer to me and would just speak even more hatefully to me. As he opened the door I was walking in with him to try and talk to him as he refused to speak to my gf. He then pulled and slammed the door on to me. My gf had to pull me away so that I wouldn't become hurt further. From the video you can also hear him stating that he doesn't care. He says this repeatedly when being asked why he is speaking so aggressively towards us. Its quite clear that he doesn't care about anyone but in particular he has zero conscience nor concern for his customers. If he's wrong and you ask him about it or even if he's just having a bad day/on a drug binge , expect this type of experience. I paid $300 for a $500 commissioned portrait in 2015 and I'm still waiting for it to be finished. Yes, we are almost thru 2021 already. I'm assuming at this rate it won't be finished at all, but still felt even after this amount of time a review was needed to just let go of the situation. Siege does great tattoos, which is why I gave 2 stars, and I've been mostly happy with the tattoo work he has done before commissioning a portrait painting, but didn't expect to be taken advantage of it like this. Nicole McCord did my first tattoo coverup back in 2008. She designed it herself, because I did not know what to do for the coverup (but I knew I needed to do something to get rid of the ugly tattoo I had!). It is a large thigh piece; it is wonderful, timeless. I still love it to this day. :) Everyone who see it compliments it. Early this 2016, I had her do a coverup of another crappy tattoo I had come to regret lol! I had the idea for this coverup, but Nicole brought it to life. It looks amazing! It's a nape tattoo that again is gorgeous and timeless. I am no longer ashamed to wear my hair up because Nicole totally covered the ugly tattoo. No trace of the original remains! So I have a few tattoos that I got when I was younger and felt like I needed something that flowed. I went through a few shops even so far as putting a hundred bucks to hold a spot at another place only to back out last minute. I stumbled upon this shop on Google. All the artists have great work you can see but I really liked what I saw siege do so I made the appointment. Super friendly showed me some stuff in the internet that we could do and I just told him my ideas. When I came back 3 weeks later this dude has an amazing original piece that was exactly what I was feeling it should be and more. The trick is to trust the artist with your vision which I did. Told him what I wanted and he delivered. For any one new to tattoos he is a solid pick as well. Picture this I'm 250 lbs 6 ft 1 and I can tell you this tattoos can be a little painful at spots but he is aware and makes it as painless as possible and the rest of the staff is personable as well. You can tell they truly enjoy each other's work and that's rad as hell. Next thing that scares people...price Calm down cuz this place wins there as well Like I said I have some garbage tattos from before that cost double what I paid for siege to blast out 30 percent of my arm with a cool original piece. I had been wanting a portrait tattoo of my dog for some time, but I was very nervous (I wanted it to be perfect, it IS a portrait tat.. Very scary). I was nervous right up until I found Jessa. Once I saw her work, all of my nerves turned into excitement. Now, this is all happening 2 weeks before I'm scheduled to do a photoshoot for a "Bombshells and Bullies" calendar which will be sold to raise money for dog rescue. It just so happens my leg (where I wanted the tattoo) will be showing in the shoot, so the hustle was on. I sent an email through the shop website pleading for this piece to be done AND healed in enough time for it to make it into the calendar. Apparently Siege, knowing that Jessa was booked up for months and doesn't check her email daily, sent her a text asking her to check out my request. Jessa, knowing this would be a 7-9 hour piece, worked some magic and was able to offer me the time just 2 days after I sent the email plea. After a very long day, she was able to not only finish my piece, but perfect everything down to the last little details. I could not be happier with Jessa or the shop. They even let me, or insisted really, that I bring Wallace in for a visit. Coolest people ever and so very talented. I left being happier than I could have ever imagined.
