We arrived about 15 min prior, checked in, and found the locker room. The locker room is spacious with plenty of locker space, restrooms, and changing area. They have a bar area where you can order drinks and food with seating around. There were also water stations throughout. It was a hot day so definitely welcomed. You are also able to order drinks at most of the spring soaks using a QR code which we did. We got our towels and went to our first area - water temps ranged from 49 (Cold plunge) to about 104, I believe. I did the cold plunge for about one minute, lol. Definitely keep your hands out and breathe. We relaxed in others and chatted with a few friendly folks in each. Several had canopies above when to help block sun. I also did the immersive sauna experience which was my first sauna experience ever. I made it the 10 minutes - start hydrated, close your eyes, and relax. Overall, we enjoyed our time there and looking forward to the next visit.

The indoor spaces are all really nice. I loved spending time going through all the sauna rooms & then taking a nap in the relaxation area upstairs when I got tired. The sushi place on the second floor was surprisingly good. FYI ramyun is the cheapest thing on the menu at the Korean place on the top floor & while it was good, it was clearly just instant ramyun that they charged $12 for. Next time I think I will just spring for something a little pricier. Couple of tips: It's both cheaper to go on weekdays & much less crowded. I would bring a change of clothes to wear under your robe. That way if you decide to go to the pool first, you can change out of your swimsuit to do saunas later. (Although plenty of folks just wear their swimsuit to the sauna!) Some folks say to bring a towel, but know they do provide full size towels & you can get fresh ones as needed in the locker room. If you plan to be there all day, I also recommend bringing a charger!

I realized I was being included in her recording and asked her to please stop because I did NOT consent to being filmed. Instead of simply respecting my request, she told me that I had an "attitude problem." She then went to the concierge and apparently received permission from a staff member to continue recording. She actually came BACK to where I was, started recording me again, told me, "I can keep recording," and called me "Karen." At that point, this no longer felt like someone casually taking a video at a spa. I felt deliberately targeted and humiliated. She also made a point of telling me that she gets "millions of views." I honestly don't care whether someone has 10 views or 10 million. Being popular on social media does not make another paying guest's discomfort irrelevant. What makes this experience especially disappointing is Spa Castle's response. I spoke with management and was told they could not make her delete the video. I understand that management may have limitations regarding someone's personal phone, but I cannot understand why a guest who had already been told directly that I did not want to be recorded was apparently allowed to return and continue filming and confronting me. I paid to come to a SPA--to relax and feel comfortable. Instead, I felt exposed, embarrassed, and completely unsupported. I was so overwhelmed by the entire interaction that I cried there, and then sat in my car afterward crying again. I can't remember the last time a business experience made me feel this humiliated. Spa Castle seriously needs a clear filming policy. There is a huge difference between taking a photo or video of yourself and deliberately continuing to record another guest after that person has specifically asked you to stop. People come to a spa expecting some level of comfort and relaxation. Nobody should have to wonder whether they're going to become unwilling content for somebody else's social media account. I'm incredibly disappointed with how this was handled.

While searching for a spa, I came across Health by Design Family Spa clicked on their page, and saw micro-needling, which I had been interested in trying but wanted to avoid problems I have seen with it. Jennifer's reviews and the warm atmosphere of her practice looked very inviting(just by the website), so I decided to make an appointment. On the day of my facial appointment, I expressed my concerns to the aesthetician. I mentioned that I was feeling quite nervous about the treatment, as I'm not very fond of makeup, I only wear it for gatherings and church. I've also seen some interesting results from micro-needling. I asked if she could walk me through the facial step by step, show me the needles, and explain what was happening during it. Let me tell you! Jennifer is incredibly knowledgeable about skincare and what she did for my face. I have never met an esthetician with so much expertise and such a calming, spiritual demeanor. I felt amazing afterward. She did this treatment a week before my Italy trip, and my skin felt fantastic in the days following the appointment no burning or irritation at all. Italy my face felt amazing the whole time I was there. THIS IS WHY I WILL ONLY LET HER TOUCH MY FACE!!! After returning from my trip a few months later, I reached out to her because I had been so busy. I mentioned that my skin was dry, dull, and in need of hydration. We decided to try the OxyGeneo 3-in-1 Facial, and both of us could see a significant improvement, my skin had a beautiful glow (before and after photos showed such a huge difference after my facial that day). There are laminated signs everywhere with instructions & rules everywhere. Many of the jets in the pool were broken & the steam room was out of order. However, the facilities were very well kept, they were constantly cleaning. There's a wide selection of food & a ton of seating. I like that there's a movie theater room. And the price is $25 cheaper than Spa Castle. I still enjoyed myself. Two tips: 1) Save $8 by going to Super Komart just down the street & buying a pass for just $42 if you pay in cash. 2) Bring socks! The floors of several of the sauna rooms are very hot. Shoes are not allowed but socks are. You should also bring your own towel for the water park. The complimentary ones are hand towels.
