We initially reached out to GIS because my engagement party was being held at my family's home, and we needed the interior repainted. We also decided to replace the outlets for a fresher look. Tony and Mark were the ones who came out to get everything started, and the inside looks absolutely beautiful now! After the party, we decided to take things a step further and have the wood flooring in our living room replaced to match the rest of the house. Once again, Tony, Mark, and their team were incredible, fast, detail-oriented, and so professional. The attention to detail during both the removal and installation of the flooring really stood out. During that project, my grandmother mentioned a few floorboards in her bedroom that had started to buckle. When Mark came to inspect, he discovered moisture beneath the boards and immediately walked us through all possible scenarios. Together with Tony, he helped us find a solution and identified that the issue came from a window that hadn't been properly sealed, allowing water to leak inside. While that was unexpected, we were so thankful for their honesty and transparency throughout the process. Once the window, wall, and flooring were repaired, her room has never looked better! We also had the inside and outside of our fireplace redone, which looks amazing, along with refreshed caulking in both bathrooms that really gave the spaces a clean, updated look. Every project completed by Tony, Mark, and the rest of the GIS team has been superb. They're incredibly communicative, always keeping us updated on progress, timelines, and next steps. They've been patient in answering every question, quick to send detailed proposals for new projects, and most importantly, consistent in delivering quality, beautiful work. Contractors & Small Businesses -- Read This Before Working With GIS Contracting LLC…read more My HVAC company was subcontracted by GIS Contracting LLC, owned by Tony Gomez, to do the mechanical work at the Williamson County Bagel Shop. We completed the job in full, on time, and under a signed contract. After the work was done, Tony Gomez and GIS Contracting LLC refused to pay the remaining $13,600 they owe us. Repeated invoices, calls, and emails have been ignored thill this day 08/14/25. This is not just bad business -- it's a breach of trust that hurts local contractors who show up, do the work, and expect to be paid what was promised. If you're a contractor, supplier, or business owner, think twice before working with GIS Contracting LLC or Tony Gomez. Get every protection in writing, and be prepared to enforce it. Learn from my experience before it becomes yours. PS: GIS will comment under here saying the matter has been resolved but in fact nothing was ever resolved.

I intended to use it for sheetrock repair and patching throughout my house. Upon inspection of the job, they indicated it should not be a problem to complete the repairs in the alloted time. -The worker came on three different days for three to four hours at a time (according to my neighbors.) He arrived generally between 10 and 11 a.m. and left between 2 and 3 p.m. -After working for two partial days, he disappeared for 10 days. The next time he came back, he indicated his wife had been ill. I told him it was not a problem but to let me know if he wasn't coming on a particular day, which never happened. -After the second day he told me he didn't have a ladder or a way to transport one - even though he had been to the house and knew that the bulk of the repairs were around ceilings and door frames. I had to borrow one from my neighbor for him to use. If that fact had come up the first day, it would have been helpful. -One day upon leaving in the early afternoon, he texted and told me that his helper who used to work with him had gone into catering so it was taking longer for him to do the work alone. -On a day I expected him to arrive, he texted me and said that Home Depot was out of 2x2 sheetrock so he'd have to come back after he found some ... -The third time he came back was the week before Christmas. He indicated that he planned to return once his boss stopped putting him on other jobs. He never said anything about the 35 hours being used up. I called Henry the owner in the middle of last week and asked when they were going to finish the work. He acted surprised "He didn't finish???" Henry didn't say anything about the time being used up but that he would call the worker and find out what was up. I never heard back from him. My next two calls to Henry went to voice mail, and today I have received a text from the worker guy saying "Henry told me to text you and let you know that the 35 hours of work was done, anything else that needs to be done that's past the 35 hours cost extra" and "I was told once I hit 35 hours to stop what I am doing and leave" Apparently the fact that less than half of the project which was supposedly doable in 35 hours was completed was irrelevant. If, by some magical warp in time, he did spend 35 hours working at my house (he didn't) why did no one ever bring that fact up in response to my numerous calls, texts and e-mails between December and now? In fact, why did the worker guy indicate that he was planning to come back? Why won't the owner, Henry, return my phone calls or e-mails but instead has his employee text me that the work is done? It's clear that I am an unhappy customer and instead of finding out my side of the story, he's avoiding me. Is it acceptable that they did NOT do the top priority repairs (taping and floating the large areas of damage, and instead did the minor work (and that inconsistently)? I was very clear with Henry and the worker during the inspection that the big stuff was most important. In the end, NONE of those repairs were made.

I called Scott today to come out and take a look at a small job I need completed. He was very…read morefriendly and honest on the phone, saying he didn't think I needed a general contractor based on the job description (I have a small section of brick facade sliding off the outside of my home, which Scott said would be more appropriate for a mason), but he'd be happy to come by and take a look. He gave me a time estimate for when he thought he'd by, and then called to let me know he'd be over shortly -- so his communication and timeliness were very good at the outset. When he came to my home, he took a thorough look at the problem and gave me multiple suggestions for how to tackle it for the lowest cost -- none of which involved paying him to do it. It was definitely refreshing to have a contractor looking at a problem for a potential client with the best interest of the client in mind. While he was over, we also discussed some other projects my wife and I have been thinking about, and he gave us some very good advice there as well, and did not try to sell us on his services. The only selling he did was to leave us his card. Finally, about 10 minutes after he'd left, he called back from his car with a suggestion for how to talk about the sliding brick issue with the builder of our home and possible recourse we might have. The only reason I give Scott 4 stars instead of 5 is that we never had him do any actual work for us, though that will change, as we will definitely be calling him back if we are in need of a general contractor in the future.

After having my foundation fixed I had them repaired the brick on the side of my home that had along crack in it. Cleaned up the cracks and recoated the skirting. They did two plumbing jobs for me. One was correcting the poor work another local plumbing company did a year before. They did an awsome job replacing my front entry door with a new one that required a lot of extra work. They added concrete to extend the floor for the door to sit on. Finally they replaced all the rotten trim on my home around the windows and corners joints on my home. I plan on hiring them back to do the paint and many more jobs in the future.

After touring my home and discussing the project I had in mind he had a detailed multi-page proposal for me. The first bed I received from a contractor was literally an email that went something like, Kitchen: 15k, Bathroom: 10k, Garage: 15k...Not very assuring. Shawn and his team were assuring from the get go. Communication with everyone on the team from his right-hand man, Oscar, and design wiz, Sara, to the plumber and electrician were streamlined by use of an app called Slack they use. This was so useful when you are working on a mult-month job and always have a ton of little questions or concerns. I could easily just shoot it out into the app and anyone on his team could respond. I loved that. And these guys are top-notch. Oscar did some amazing things in here. When we found an unexpected load-bearing beam, he expertly engineered a huge beam across the near-length of the kitchen that allowed us to fully open up the area...without hiring an engineer (my decision). That thing was solid. Then he took my dated fireplace and lathered it in multiple layers of concrete and mortar to make what is now a piece of modern art. Sara and Shawn both have an eye for design. When I sent a photo of one of my bathrooms to a friend she told me it looked with the W. In a few areas of the house they kind of nudged me to let them have some artistic leave and I am so glad they did. My master bath is now a study in what you should do for any small bathroom space and my laundry room has added about 100+ square feet to the home and functions as a mud room. All of the contractors he works with are exceptional as well. I will always use David O from Make it Drain plumbing and Irvin with Retiz Electric. I worked with Shawn on the design and he was always openminded about what I wanted to do and willing to provide suggestions or recommendations. His team of subcontractors did quality work and were respectful of me and my home. I had lots of people in and out of my house and had full trust in them. Most importantly, Shawn is an excellent communicator. He is always a text or phone call away, and would make time in his busy schedule to drop by the house and meet with me as needed. I have heard horror stories from my friends of contractors who disappear in the middle of a project or fail to respond to requests for updates or questions. I had none of these problems with Shawn. My renovation turned into a much bigger project in terms of the amount of changes that were made, but it never felt hopeless or endless, and the end result made it all worth it.
