This newcomer is comparable to Taco Nazo in terms of food quality, menu selection (sans the beer) and prices. Unfortunately, I have felt for years now that Taco Nazo has increased their prices too much. They also serve crunchy (shelled) fish tacos, which I am excited to try. Okay, I keep trying this place thinking the owner is having a bad day BUT tonight I realized this is who he is. Terrible service. As he prepares our food he was rushing to a point that he knocked over my taco plate and spilled the dressings. As I watched hi he just grabbed the tacos, threw them into the container and grabbed shredded cabbage to cover. To make matters worse, I asked him for a chile and he gave me one. A $40.00 order and one "freakin" chile?!! He was even stingy with the salsas. I would let all of this pass for exceptional customer service. But this was beyond. Needless to say, I am never coming back. Very sad, because I am all about supporting my fellow Hispanic business owners and community restaurants and stores. This place is so so so good. Since moving to Whittier my man & I have been on a mission to find some good places to eat & this is 1 of our to-go places that I recommend. We've visited this location about 5x & it hasn't disappointed us at all. My favorite thing from here is their shrimp burrito & fish tacos. I recommend you ask for their house salsa (not spicy at all) & add it to the shrimp burrito, & their green salsa is good too. I recently tried the cheesecake flan from here and it was very scrumptious, so if you're craving something sweet I would definitely suggest you give it a try. It definitely incorporates those 2 flavors of cheesecake & flan in an even this balanced dessert. What will keep us coming back is the impeccable customer service here & great attention to detail. My friends and I were super hungry after playing kickball (yes, as adults) in the park so we decided to come here. Our group was pretty big (12 people) but they were able to accommodate us very easily and had ample space for other customers! The service was lovely and friendly and the food was great and decently priced! My sister and I shared a chicken torta and potato tacos and both were very scrumptious and filling! The potato tacos were crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside and came with 3 salsas to choose from, they were topped w cheese lettuce and tomatoes and had very creamy white sauce drizzled as a finishing touch! No complaints there. The chicken torta was equally as yummy however i did not like the bread they used, it was spongey and tasted like hotdog bun which just didn't match the other flavors and imo black bean paste rather than pinto bean would've been a better match w the chicken torta. Wanted to try this restaurant to compare it against taco nazo ... their logo, colors & menu are very similar. I got the 3 taco combo -- that comes with rice/beans/chips/drink. I chose 2 fish tacos & 1 carne asada taco. The rice and beans were very good. The tacos were good as well , my only complaint would be the way the tortilla was prepared. The tortilla on the carne asada taco was hard but then the tortillas on the fish tacos were falling apart ? Other than that they were very good. Make sure to request their chiles as well ! The service was very fast , I called in my order but I don't think it was necessary. All the food is mostly already made & is prepared right in front of you. Very good Shrimp Gobernador tacos with rice and beans. The Asada tacos were great as well. Service is pretty quick and they're nice employees. The restaurant is spacious and clean, you can tell it get busy and they do their best to stay on top of everything. I would have put 5 stars but the soda machine nearly was out of every drink. We were looking for some tacos and saw this spot on Yelp. This place is located next to Home Depot in La mirada. We ordered the fish taco plate you get 2 fish tacos, rice, & beans. The fish was crunchy and the tacos were pretty big. The salsa they gave us on the side was good next time I'll order some chips and extra sauce because who doesn't love chips & salsa. This place always closes early. They are supposed to close at 8, it is not even 7:30 as I pull up and they are whisking people out the door. This has happened to me 3 times now. I like the food, but very inconsistent hours, which drives me nuts. I will make the drive to Taco Nazo instead when I am craving this type of food, similar style, but more consistent. Got 2 crispy crunchy fried battered fish tacos today and they were sooooo good, unfortunately they didn't have any red sauce but other than that, they were simply amazing. The fried fish wasn't oily like many places. The fried fish actually stayed crispy throughout the time of eating. Some places fry their fish but it's just soggy and oily, not this place. The only thing I would do differently next time is ask for more of the sour cream mayo dressing. The tacos were served with freshly sliced cabbage and diced tomatoes. The tacos were $3.25 each. The service was good, the establishment is very very clean and followed social distancing guidelines very well. The parking lot is big and you will have no problem finding a parking space. Super worth it for Tuesday's when they have deals on tacos! I've only gotten fish tacos from this place for take out during COVID, but they're so good!! The fish is perfectly fried and crispy, and I like that I'm able to get the cabbage and salsas on the side so they aren't too soggy when I get home. It's a great combination of salsa, cabbage and their white sauce for the tacos. Two tacos is usually enough for me as they're pretty large tacos and very filling. I've heard that before COVID, for dine in they had complimentary chips and salsa also. I'm about 20 minutes away from this place so when I get home sometimes it's a little soggy, but if you live closer i think they'd definitely hold up better. I also had the tacos de papas. 4 come per plate but they are small so they kick in just right. I tried the fish tacos and fish burrito. I have to echo some of the other reviewers comments that mention the food being bland. I think they need to add more sauce or something, I just wasn't too impressed with the flavor sad to say. Perhaps more cream in the tacos or burrito ? Not sure, it's just missing something. I had a watermelon Michelagua which was good. The restaurant was very clean and the service was great there were about 10 other patrons at the time and food came out pretty quickly for me. I want to give this place another chance. I realize sometimes you go on a "bad day" I really want to love the this new spot for now it's just ok. I'll update my review after another visit. read more

Okay. Second times a charm! The trick to this place is to make sure you ask them to cook the shrimp and fish fresh for your tacos! It makes a huge difference! Why they would sit fried food under a lamp and exspect it to taste good, is weird to me. The place is super clean, comfy and great service! My sister had the pastor, she hated it! "Wet, salty and overly spicy". The Asada is okay/good. Grew on me! It had good flavor and wasn't dry. Salsas were all good! So I will probably eat here again if I don't want to drive all the way to Taco Nazo. read more
