2 Guys Automotive & Tire - looks already too big for my car

Yesterday I took my car to Lenny at 11:15 am to have brakes checked out and an oil change. I left…read moreat 5 pm and had to turn around and ask questions about why my new brakes made me have to put my foot to the floor to stop the car. The brakes were not bled and I was told that I was simply "not used to having brakes" so that's why I felt that way. He told me I'd have to pump the brakes to get them to bleed and told me to come back in a week if it didnt get better. But yet, this was only mentioned after I returned and asked questions. This is what google says about brakes not being bled properly: "If brakes aren't bled properly, air bubbles remain in the brake lines, significantly reducing braking efficiency and potentially leading to dangerous situations. This can cause longer stopping distances, a spongy or soft brake pedal, and difficulty braking. In extreme cases, it could even lead to complete brake system failure." Yet I didn't learn this from Lenny or his erratic mechanic, I had to leave and see another mechanic last night that tested my brakes and was in disbelief of how anyone could leave my car and my safety in this condition. Bleeding them was part of the service I paid for. In between 11:15 am and 5 pm, Lenny said things like "let's run away to Florida together" and called me his "future wife." I put up with the inappropriate and unprofessional manner until I was so upset and frustrated that I couldn't keep my thoughts to myself anymore. He told me how much it would cost to fix my brakes, and I paid (he only accepts Zelle or cash) so I left the premises while the work was being completed. Over two hours later, he texted me that he made a math mistake and I owed him $150 more. I had to pay it or not get my car back. He was defensive to my voicing any concern or frustration, kept sharing his personal problems and that I "just don't know what he's been through." I had to point out that I had listened to him and knew more about his personal life than I ought to. The mechanic I saw today pointed out two things damaged in my brakes and under the oil pan, both areas his mechanic worked on yesterday. All in all, it was the most unprofessional business experience I've yet to have. Between his flirty "jokes" (that's what he called them when I voiced my distaste in how he spoke to me) and telling me how he lives there at the shop with his dogs, the extremely dirty "office" area... I hope Lenny can get it together and make sure the work he sends out and charges for is done well and leaves people safe and satisfied. Beware of this place. **my mechanic today called Lenny and told him that he just got brake work done and had to put his foot to the floor to stop the car and Lenny said "whoever did your brakes must have done them wrong. Interesting. Please do better, 2 Guys Automotive. This review is going to go around and no matter what you might say in defense, your work speaks for itself.
