Blemished cabinet door that was poorly concealed with white paint.
    Seth K.

Do not use this company for your cabinetry needs. We signed a contract with them 15 months ago and they finally came to do the work 11 months ago. The job is not complete after 11 months of waiting for them to return. We have a glaringly blemished cabinet door that was installed and they didn't completely wrap the cabinets with Formica but charged us full price. They had a replacement door shipped and has been here for 8 months with little communication or follow through on their promises to complete the service and repair. Do not use Revelare if you want your job finished.

"Custom cabinets" that show up at your door with missing parts & no assembly instructions

Bottom line up front: save yourself the time, money, and perhaps your faith in humanity and do not solicit the goods & services of this company. I'm hoping that someone in the research and discovery phase of a planning a home project who considers using Home Depot sees this post before making a final decision. Simply put: DON'T DO IT. DO NOT use Home Depot for your cabinetry needs--they outsource to Revelare Kitchens (aka/dba Your Remodeling Guys) and you will be astounded by how deftly this company will lead you through a smoke and mirrors farce of a process to create the illusion that you're paying for a quality product. After zoom calls with a designer, dozens of emails with an inept project manager who can't answer a simple question regarding ETA in a timely manner, thousands of dollars and months later your "custom cabinets" will reveal themselves to be slabs of particle board that you can buy yourself for a fraction of the cost at IKEA and hire a handyman to install. When you then reach out to said inept project manager to express your incredulity and request to speak to his superior, he will flat out lie to you and tell you that he does not have a superior. I kid you not, he will assume you have zero experience in a tiered organizational structure and will continue to REFUSE to let you speak to anyone but him. In my case, not only was I aghast at the poor quality of the materials compared to the cost to purchase ($4k for an L-shaped design in a tiny laundry room), several parts were missing and I was unable to have the particle board assembled into some semblance of cabinetry even if I was willing to do so. So, I gave up. I was 3 months postpartum with my third child and hanging by a thread so I stopped trying to get someone at Revelare to speak to me about a way forward, or to at least listen to me opine about how predatory their practices are. People seek out a Home Depot cabinetry solution because they're looking to stretch a dollar and likely can't afford a *genuinely* custom solution. Revelare knows this and takes advantage of a clientele that can't afford high-end cabinetry, but doesn't want a makeshift solution, either. Their margins on projects like mine must be spectacular. Finally, about a month ago, I received a call from a seemingly helpful and engaged customer service agent asking to schedule our cabinet installation. I was coming out of my postpartum fog and felt renewed hope that this out-of-the-blue outreach after weeks (months? I stopped counting) of silence would be a harbinger of positive change. WRONG. This gentleman also ghosted me after I forwarded him email and text communications that corroborated my telling of the chain of events. My favorite part of our discussion was when he revealed that none of my complaints were noted in my file. Shocker! If you need storage solutions for a laundry room or closet, just go to the custom route at Container Store. You'll pay more, but the process will be expeditious, transparent, and their customer service team is lovely. I'm kicking myself for trying to save the extra $3k by going through Home Depot / Revelare. Lesson learned!

Our kitchen looks great and Carl Koch went above and beyond to make it so. He says he is a perfectionist and it shows. Thank you!

Our Kitchen Project: (Just Completed)…read more My wife and I had been wanting to have our kitchen remodeled for several months. When it finally came time to do it, we started going through the process of trying to find the right contractor for the project. We spent several weeks researching until we came across Yorklyn Construction. Once we met Ben, we felt like the search was over. The advice, detailed thought he put into our plans brought a sense of comfort to us. The quotes were fair and where we hoped they would be. Starting with Ben, our experience fanned out to the rest of folks working for Yorklyn. Tom, who managed our project, was absolutely in touch with our thoughts as the project transitioned from demo to the "rebuild". He did a better job of "detail nitpicking" than I could have. From the beginning they stated it clearly, "we want it done right for you." They certainly lived up to that and exceeded it. The carpentry work with the cabinets they constructed all the way down to the floor thresholds / transitions were perfect, and I mean perfect. I'm sure a lot of contractors hold similar standards, but where Yorklyn pulls ahead is with how they treat your property, residence and your family. You become a bit more than a customer. If you are looking at having some work done, I hope you give these folks a look. I'm sure you will end up where my wife and I are. (Incredibly happy customers!)

To Whom This May Concern:…read more Typically, we are not people that post reviews. Oh, if we really don't like something we have been known to speak up directly to the company. We have to have very strong feelings to post in a public forum. After all, saying something about a person's lively hood should not be taken lightly. Often people are quick to criticize and slow to praise. We would like to change that. We have a house that was in need of updates and repairs. We also where in desperate need of storage. We invited several companies to come by and tell us what they thought and to give us a bid. Two companies that came by and told us the project was too big for them and no bid the project. Finally, it came down to two companies from the area, Yorklyn Construction being one. Yorklyn shot straight with us. They told us the truth, not what they thought we wanted to hear. The bids came in pretty close but Yorklyn impressed us with their candor and professionalism which gave us confidence that once they agreed to something they would meet their commitments. We were told that the process would be long (several months) and that we would basically be living in a construction site. Like I stated, they shot straight with us and it was a big project. Side note, they did everything they could to minimize any discomfort and were respectful that this was our home. We did have hiccup's but Yorklyn's staff and the sub-contractors where great. In a project this size there are hundreds of small decisions, but I can honestly say that everyone involved looked out for our best interests. If they thought we were making a wrong choice, they spoke up. For example, we chose the color of grout for the shower in a showroom. The tile guy put in the tile but thought we made a mistake with the color of the grout. He didn't just go and let us make a mistake. Instead he spoke up and brought it to our attention. He and the project manager discussed it with us and made suggestions that we elected to follow and are happier for that decision. We had a similar experience with their painter. Trust me things look different in a sample catalog or a showroom than in your house. I also wanted to say that their carpenters are great and their cabinet guy is amazing, very skilled and exact, a true craftsman. Our cabinets are just wonderful. We can also tell you that on the rare occasion that we did express displeasure, they made it right and when a problem was our fault, they were fair. Several of the Yorklyn staff and sub-contractors feel like friends. We have very warm feelings for these people. We have grown to trust them. Not only would we recommend them, we will call upon them in the future when we need skilled professional trades people. Often in business "quality "is defined as meeting or exceeding a customer's expectations, in our book, Yorklyn's work and the people that make up this company are the definition of quality. Sincerely, Sandy and Garry Stewartstown, PA
