Not sure of the story. You can find diverse shops. Clothing, shoes, jewelry, hair accessories, sports, novelty, and a food court. We enjoyed walking in and out of different shops. We had fun in a vintage store with cool books. The Hot Topic store was a hit with the kids. They loved the Anime shirts!! When we got hungry, the food court saved us!! Overall, it's a decent mall. It's not crowded. A great place to get your steps in and people watching or window shopping!! ;)

The arcade had machines down all over and mold in their claw machine, there are pictures/posters hung up around the mall with food and other nasty stuff on it, the smaller bathroom has 1 stall and is always dirty, the family restroom has a broken sink that hasn't been addressed, I could go on. Joplin needs a good cleanup all over.

I come in a few times a year hoping to make a purchase but even if they have what I want at a price I feel is fair they often lose the sale because the staff is kind of rude unless you're a local buddy and often treat you like you're interrupting their coffee break. It is common to see them sitting around, half working while carrying on long personal conversations with their friends who seem to hang out in the store. Ask for assistance and they will do the bare minimum to help you out. Of the dozen times I have come in I have always struggled to get anyone to assist me and when I ask they treat me with contempt, giving one-syllable answers and acting like they can't wait for me to leave. So I did leave and made a purchase somewhere else. I was in the store for 40 minutes this last time and no one approached me or asked if I needed anything. Some people like that and I was ok with the inattention too. It should have been clear I was comparing a couple of rifles and I kept looking around for help to make a sale but no one bothered to approach me. They should have been in tune enough to see I was looking at details enough that I had a real interest. When I went to the counter (once again I had to stand there awhile as the guy working was chatting up some guy who had been standing there talking since I came in and not about guns). Once I got a chance to ask for some service it was clear I was an interloper and not really welcome. I had a few questions to focus on my intended purchase but could not get complete sentences out of the guy who one minute early could not stop talking with his buddy. I don't know if this was Steve or if there is a Steve but this place could really use some customer service training. I ended up leaving, driving down Main St, to another gun shop, and making a purchase from them. They did bother to answer my questions, demonstrated the features of the product, and then up-sold me on a better rifle that costs more than I had intended to spend because they took the time to explain the features and benefits of the better option. Once again Steve lost another sale to me and any follow-up sales as I start accessorizing this rifle. As others have said in their reviews, the store has a great selection and lots of hard-to-find add-ons. But poor customer service.

While I didn't find THE gown, I still had to review this adorable place! First, coming from LA, I was so excited to even find a consignment wedding dress shop. Out here, it's very difficult to find places that rent gowns, let alone sell used ones. Had I found one, I was going to ship it to myself or have my mom fly it out in February when she comes out to do pre-wedding stuff. At the price points they offer here, the shipping would have been totally worth it! Second, they don't just sell used gowns! They had a lot with the original price tags on. Their prices on the new gowns were amazing - all marked originally $1000-1200, yet selling here for $300-500! Used gowns were even cheaper! Third, despite being a smaller shop, they had a pretty good variety of sizes and styles. I picked out 4-5 to try on. Last, you get the same experience here as any other bridal shop! You get to waltz out of your dressing room, stand on the pedestal, and take all your pics. The lady working was very helpful and sweet. Thank you, Lovie's! I'm glad to see that Joplin residents have the option of a shop like this when trying to plan a wedding on a budget like I am!

There are a few stinkers when it comes to the booths but most of them are great. The prices are pretty much in line with the current market for thrift, though they certainly don't make me jump for joy. Several of the vendors also sell AI-generated crap, which I believe should be banned at all antique malls across the entire world. The service was fine, nothing super crazy. They said hello to us when we came in and goodbye when we left, which I really appreciated! If you're relatively young and sort of odd, you know the type of looks you get from old folks at antique malls, but nothing super bad. Overall, a cool spot to check out. There's a small "luxury" section as soon as you walk into the store and then the rest of the building is true thrifting. They have a wonderful selection of clothes and a good amount of homegoods, shoes, furniture, accessories, etc. They're a bit lacking in the toy and physical media departments but that's true of most thrifts in the area. They run sales frequently and those are the times that are most worth it to come. The people here are super friendly and helpful! The parking situation is a bit difficult because there's no parking lot, but there's lots of room around for street parking! As with any thrift store in the modern era, there are a few wacky prices, but WG Marketplace is genuinely much more fun to shop at than the usual haunts.
