Little shop of fun and love! Goodness, yes, it's kitsch. But now and again who doesn't like a little novelty? It's great for picking up a souvenir or a tasty treat - both if you have the money. This is the friendliest, cutest little shopping place along route 44! We were camped nearby overnight and just decided to stop for a sweet treat, and they have wonderful fudges, candies, novelties, toys, just about whatever you would like. And they certainly have friendly and helpful service! We were a little on the run today because we're traveling home, but would recommend a stop, a visit, and a purchase here anytime. They have so many billboards on the highway coming down from Joplin and leading up to this place, I felt like there was no way I couldn't stop. They have signs saying something to effect of where all people on road trips must stop, and I was sold. There's nothing special here folks, just a place to stretch your legs and explore the small store with all the typical touristy stuff you don't really need. I got a piece of fudge, it was ok, nothing special and got back on the road upset I veered off course for 10 minutes. This is more of a place where you take a necessary bio break, and stretch your legs, it's not a tourist destination. Thankfully, it's located right on/off the highway so you really don't go far out of your way at all. read more

Cool tourist store...if you need ANYTHING touristy, this is the place to be. Taffy, collectibles, etc.

Nice little tourist place. The staff was very friendly. They had a lot of little tourist trap stuff like you might expect. They had a lot of chocolate and saltwater taffy, fireworks, and a large selection of inexpensive knives. They also sell Watkins vanilla extract and cinnamon which is nice. We use Watkins when we bake and it tastes good. read more

GREATEST GIFT SHOP EVER!!!!!!! I met Kendra and Casey, they are AWESOME!!!!!!! They took their time showing me around the store, and their customer service was TOP NOTCH. The store has antiques, cool stuff for kids, and all sorts of things that you cannot find anywhere else. They have homemade fudge & candy (all of it is delicious), and there is also really cool moccasins and other native American gifts that I have never seen any place else. If you are ever in the area DEFINITELY make a stop at Ozarkland General Store :) read more
