Not sure of the story. You can find diverse shops. Clothing, shoes, jewelry, hair accessories, sports, novelty, and a food court. We enjoyed walking in and out of different shops. We had fun in a vintage store with cool books. The Hot Topic store was a hit with the kids. They loved the Anime shirts!! When we got hungry, the food court saved us!! Overall, it's a decent mall. It's not crowded. A great place to get your steps in and people watching or window shopping!! ;)

The arcade had machines down all over and mold in their claw machine, there are pictures/posters hung up around the mall with food and other nasty stuff on it, the smaller bathroom has 1 stall and is always dirty, the family restroom has a broken sink that hasn't been addressed, I could go on. Joplin needs a good cleanup all over.

It's owned by a Scottish fellow and his wife, so they went with a really fun Scottish theme & tartan everywhere...although small, it's definitely a cheerier version of the standard antique mall with dreary stalls. Debra is incredibly friendly and welcoming! On my visit, I only found a few little treasures I couldn't leave without, but they are still in the early days and adding new vendors. Of course prices and items varied by stall, but the quality was great overall (so much neat stuff!) and prices seemed fair, especially on home furnishings. I will definitely add Tartan Traders to my rotation for secondhand shopping trips!

The Park Center in Joplin is a little industrial office building strip mall which has a bunch of different medical and insurance type stuff. It's not an exciting mall at all but for people who visit here and work here it works perfectly well and serves the purpose. It could use a little sprucing up but then you know what happened in this town recently so they're doing fine just to be keeping on keeping on. I can't believe I said that.

I will not be coming back to this location. This was the worst case of lack of customer service I have encountered in a long time. The batteries were missing on one and were on top of the sink for the other one. A stranger and I had to pull the soap out and manually pump it just to wash our hands. I was born and raised in Joplin so this was a pretty surprising and disappointing experience.
