I was in town and we decided to go to the mall. The Northpark Mall was about fifteen minutes away. It's a small town mall. There's plenty of stores open. There were also stores closed. Not sure of the story. You can find diverse shops. Clothing, shoes, jewelry, hair accessories, sports, novelty, and a food court. We enjoyed walking in and out of different shops. We had fun in a vintage store with cool books. The Hot Topic store was a hit with the kids. They loved the Anime shirts!! When we got hungry, the food court saved us!! Overall, it's a decent mall. We come up to Joplin every few weeks to see my sister and shop a few stores we don't have where we live. I like to come to the mall sometimes for Joann's, but this place is so gross. The arcade had machines down all over and mold in their claw machine, there are pictures/posters hung up around the mall with food and other nasty stuff on it, the smaller bathroom has 1 stall and is always dirty, the family restroom has a broken sink that hasn't been addressed, I could go on. Joplin needs a good cleanup all over. read more

After walking through this mall for the first time in quite a while I was really disappointed. This used to be a fun place to shop, eat and just generally people watch. Now it's like a ghost town. The food court is a train wreck within itself. Orange Julius is gone, Burger King is gone. There is no restaurant and hasn;t been for quite some time. The shopping area is isle booths of phone case vendors and other stuff that is junk or something that could be easily found on the internet. All I could think was that in 6 or 7 years this place won't even be open. Malls are giving way to internet shopping all over the country and this one is no exception. read more

People here are so rude and a bad experience over all. Especially Claire's, they have poor service and don't even clean there piercing station. I asked for a piercing and they were hard core judging. read more

Northpark Mall has your typical mall shops. They have a Macy's, JC Penney's, and the other stores. It's great that it's in the area, especially at this time in Joplin. I gave it 5 stars, cause they donated their grounds, and parking lot for a peace rally I attended today. It was a rally to keep Westboro from picketing the funerals of the tornado victims. Not to get too political here, this is yelp. They donated their entire parking lot to the 7 Facebook groups who were attending,and also to the Patriot Riders. I thought it was a fantastic gesture, and being a bit overwhelmed after attending that this morning, I am grateful the Northpark Mall granted us their use. They will always be a 5 star in my book, for their generosity. read more

Nothing really exciting about this Mall. Expensive stores/restaurants and gaming. Most of the businesses are closed.

Great shopping but the customer service was fantastic. I spent why more then I came for but I dont regret it. Lol

Pretty much everything you need in a mall. Has plenty of tenants and they are always getting new/popular stores if there are any vacancies. Food court has plenty of good selections and they even have neat game/arcade/play areas! The only downfall of this place is that it needs a facelift. The building is getting older and the bathrooms, floors, etc need a lot of work. With some money, it could definitely be improved. read more

Very nice and clean. Newly renovated. I'm not a regular mall goer until the weather is like this and because I have two little girls I'm sure I will be going more and more, like it or not. Unlike most malls that are just too crowded due to lack of space or cramming too many businesses into the space, this mall is spaced so that even when it's busy it doesn't give you that cloister phobic feeling. It also has clean and well kept bathrooms, (not typical of a mall). For all these reasons, I give a five out of five! read more

Lost my wallet, asked security for help and they said they can not check cameras. They also did not help me look and i'm confused on what the point in their job is if they can not help someone find what they are looking for. I looked for 2 hours on my own and i have now lost 3 cards and the cash I had in it. Thanks for helping me security guards. read more

Store selection is pretty good. I love that it is based off of route 66 and marks the mileage for walkers. The kids love just coming to walk around with us. Food court has a nice variety and the whole mall in general is very clean and well kept. Great job, Joplin! read more

wow! this mall is fantastic! i love everything about it! it's not overbearing and the workers are mostly very nice. the mall is not too big but just the right size. it's a perfect space for families to enjoy their shopping. i would recommend this mall to anyone seeking a peaceful & joy-filled mall to shop at. read more

Overall this mall is a good place to shop but the small stand stores in the middle of the walk way are annoying. It's even more annoying when you have the pushy sales people coming over to you when you never showed any interest in their products. read more

I have been shopping at Northpark Mall since I was born, which was longer ago than I care to admit (before the mid-1980's remodel is all I will confess to). I think this mall has gone drastically downhill despite all of its many remodels and additions. It is left with a very sparse, "brightly lit to the point of being too sanitary" feeling. Most of the stores that interested my friends and family have vanished over the years. The mall no longer has a movie theater or book store, and many of their longtime tenants have moved out of the mall and into stand-alone stores. Northpark Mall has many kiosks in the center (as most malls do) but I have never encountered such rude and aggressive sales people as I have at the kiosks there; people will stand in your path, grab your hand, or shout out to you across the crowd if they catch your eye for a mere second. It feels like being on vacation in a tourist trap at times. Meanwhile, when a store closes the mall automatically replaces it with a juniors clothing store. Every time. I suppose they are going for that specific demographic but it seems that this mall is catering in an extreme way to tweens and teens, and it lacks a lot of its former well-rounded charm. I feel almost as if this mall does not deserve 3 stars, to be honest, but it does have a few bright spots - a TJ Maxx store at its north end, a larger food court than average, and sparkling clean bathrooms (for a mall). read more
