While it was very fun to browse and the woman at the counter was nice and talkative, I don't think the booths are organized or clean enough for the prices a lot of them are charging. I saw a package of Coca-Cola stickers for $9.99! One package! That's just too much. There are definitely some good deals but you REALLY have to be willing to hunt. Some of the booths literally just have crap piled on the floor. And watch out! If you break it, you buy it! Even if it was teetering atop a pile of dusty baskets and baby dolls! I do think it's worth it to stop in just for the sheer enjoyment of looking inside. Just be warned that you're unlikely to be able to look at everything safely. I do want to mention - I LOVE that they have shopping baskets! Every antique mall should provide these and so few do!

There's a fairly wide selection of items in here, about what you'd expect for an antique mall of this size. While other antique malls in the area have a larger selection, this one was still fun to browse through. It wasn't overly cluttered, though there wasn't much that I felt like I REALLY needed to take home with me. Not junk necessarily, but nothing that would improve my home or my life majorly. I also found that a lot of the booths were a bit overpriced? This seems to be a problem in the Joplin area specifically, as antique malls in other nearby cities (Springfield, Kansas City, Branson, etc) all seem to have lower prices on average than what you can find in JOMO. Still, there are some hidden treasures if you're willing to look! - I particularly enjoyed the booth close to the front with all the Pokemon cards. They'll make great stocking stuffers when the holidays come around :) - The booth on the left side with handmade ceramics was also awesome! Very reasonably priced and unique, interesting work. These would also make great Christmas gifts! Definitely worth checking out and we'll probably be back, but watch what you're spending! It can get up there pretty fast!

It's owned by a Scottish fellow and his wife, so they went with a really fun Scottish theme & tartan everywhere...although small, it's definitely a cheerier version of the standard antique mall with dreary stalls. Debra is incredibly friendly and welcoming! On my visit, I only found a few little treasures I couldn't leave without, but they are still in the early days and adding new vendors. Of course prices and items varied by stall, but the quality was great overall (so much neat stuff!) and prices seemed fair, especially on home furnishings. I will definitely add Tartan Traders to my rotation for secondhand shopping trips!

If you're interested in rocks and gems, there is a stall in the back with a sign that says: "rocks and minerals". The man who owns it used to own a rock or a jewelry store back in the day and as a result has a lot of good stock. (He also sells coins, for those who collect those.)He was helpful and a pleasure to shop with and I look forward to visiting his stall again. Another stall, not too far from his sells vintage photographs. He had a interesting collection but unfortunately did not buy anything since my partner, who was showing me around the area planned to take me to their favorite spot for vintage photos. The reason I am giving this place two stars is not because of those two vendors. What they're doing is legit. I am giving this place two stars on the account of the other stalls carrying junk and that the environment could do some touch up. But then again it's a flea market so maybe that's asking too much. Value is dependent on the individual booth. I'd say there are quite a few booths with very affordable and special items. I notice a lot of vendors doing sales. There are tons of booth with a wide variety of things to satisfy any serious antiquer. Clearly I am not a fan of the newfangled "mixed-use" antique mall & Temu/Shein/AliExpress reseller booth concept. I really don't like walking into a business and seeing AI slop and cheap plastic junk when what I came for is antiques and secondhand items that I can give a second life. It goes against the whole purpose of an antique mall/thrift store, which is to help people find beautiful, old items and keep more things out of the landfill for longer. Now that that's out of the way, I can tell you that I had a great visit to Junkerville! I found several gorgeous things that will make excellent gifts this holiday season. The crown jewel of my findings? An antique Victorian fold-out fireplace screen in beautiful condition for $65. I'll admit that $65 is quite a bit more than I would usually spend at an antique mall but this is a piece so rare to find in person that I didn't even have it on my wishlist because I never thought I'd find one. I truly can't explain how lucky I feel! $65 is already a good deal for what I found but on a whim, I asked if they take offers. For reference, most antique malls will call the seller and ask for you if you want to make an offer on items over $50. They said they don't do that, but that she could give me a 10% discount! Who am I to say no to that?! Needless to say that I left Junkerville poorer in the wallet but a very happy camper. Stop by and check it out! Take your time - there's tons to see!
