This is a wonderful place to look around if you'd like to travel back 100+ years and see what gorgeous ornamental extravagance looked like. This store is home to countless beautiful pieces. I could seriously sit around in here and just stare at the lamps for hours.
The man running the place is very nice and knowledgeable about his extremely curated collection. I enjoyed chatting with him about some 1930s erotic bronze statues that had - another rare find. I would have loved to bring one home but alas, I have a queen's taste and a scullery maid's salary.
The prices are high. They're higher than I would ever be able to pay. I'm not saying these things aren't worth it. If I had that kind of money, I'd be spending it in a heartbeat. It's absolutely worth it to stop and look just to admire the beauty of times gone by. read more
