The founder of Interdynamics saw a need in the community for access to mental health services before mental health became "trendy" and sought to meet that need with an increasing range of services from therapy to assessment. During the unprecedented COVID - 19 pandemic, the staff at Interdynamics quickly pivoted to provide virtual services that included workshops for school staff to address stress from both a psychotherapeutic framework and practical examples of stress relieving activities involving music and art as well as therapeutic supports for other essential workers. In the aftermath of the pandemic, Interdynamics recognizes just how deeply children were impacted and has teams of social workers and psychologists working with area schools to address their needs. Providing psychological support to others in the community is never an easy task and takes it's toll on those providers. Interdynamics recognizes this and strives to take care of the staff as well as the community with encouragement, fun activities, and incentives. This was after I had filled out a large number of forms. I had already made it clear in the paperwork before we met. Then we got disconnected within 15 mins of an hour long session for which she never called back. When I called back, the person answering the phone was told by her to tell me their network died. She couldn't be bothered to notify me. Even by email. I was very disappointed and found their handling to be entirely unprofessional.

Nicky is wonderful and communicates quickly and efficiently. She is kind and supports local organizations which is what I look for in a business. She supports the Ulman foundation and hosts young people impacting by cancer so we can focus on us and escape for a bit. My expectation is not that the salt cave experience replaces my medical advice from my doctors or care team. I have been to the salt cave 4-5 times and then chose to host a birthday party in the cave with sound medication. I had the place with just my 5 girlfriends and it was so fun. Just FYI, I love the sound medication but if you have sound sensitivity know going in it's a lot of different types of sounds and can get loud or high pitched. I will absolutely go back and book a private party for the salt cave. It's an amazing atmosphere with a sauna and Nicky runs groups and has an e-mail blast with all the upcoming events. I have been to other counselors and this was by far the worst group of counselors, I actually felt that they were dangerous for vulnerable people that really need help because they were so unprofessional and incompetent. The counselor at Bowie Youth & Family Services made my post traumatic stress so much worse. What did I learn from Bowie Youth & Family Services? That I will never waste my time counseling again, and won't recommend them to anybody.
