I have been out of practice for a bit so this was a nice re-entry point. While the music and instruction and very quiet setting were different from my preferred yoga style, I will say that Angelina was a good teacher. The sequencing of the flow was great and I felt very challenged. I also appreciated how engaged she was with each student in different ways and the hands-on assistance she provided. I've been doing yoga for a while but there are still postures I'm confident aren't exactly right. She helped me correct a few and I was very grateful. She also recognized my flexibility and gave me additional adjustments/gentle pushes to get deeper into some postures. I also appreciated Mo at the front desk who was very nice and welcoming. Sometimes, when I come to smaller studios where everyone knows each other, I feel out of place but that wasn't the case here. Thanks, Radiance!

I'm regularly think to myself that I'm thankful that this studio opened so close to home. Some of the classes that I cannot recommend enough: - Deep Stretch (Tuesday PM): after my first session, my hips felt loose for the first time in months (literally). What a great find! - Restorative Yoga & Guided Meditation (Sunday PM): love, love, love this send off into the coming week! It's not a fitness-yoga class, but rather a health-and-wellness class. Beyond regularly scheduled classes, there are workshops. I have enjoyed every workshop I've attended and I've learned a lot of applicable knowledge and skills! "May you be happy, may you be healthy, may you be safe and at ease." ‍

Ran across this studio in an office building close to Huntington Metro. Right now there's a fantastic new student offer - 14 days of unlimited yoga for $30. Such a great low risk way to check it out! Scheduling is super easy via the website. It even sends calendar reminders. One can take the Metro or drive as this location features plenty of free parking. Once you schedule you are issued the door code to enter the building. The fourth floor studio holds about 20 or so students comfortably. Classes are taught by the studio owner Sarah and a few other teachers. So far I've been to the foundations class twice. Sarah talks through each pose and walks around to check how people are doing. I appreciate the slower pace and the fact that she offer suggestions to either make a pose harder or easier if needed and also coaches on alignment. Each class ended with resting at the end. Sarah also played the singing bowls which I will be honest I find a bit uncomfortable on my ears but if others in the class dig it, who am I to say differently? The Wednesday class features a 30 minute meditation afterwards. In this class different types of meditation are explored. It's easy to see that Sarah really cares about her students. The studio is neat and tidy and overall very welcoming. Sarah finds a lot of joy in what she does and shares that joy with her students. In my most recent class she cooked up a batch of turmeric milk for students to taste. Pretty neat! When my 14 day new student offer expires I plan to purchase a class pack to make this a regular part of my fitness routine. I am grateful to have found this lovely studio.

I have tried a couple of online classes in the past and didn't like them. Then I found this place, which happens to be near where I live, although everything is taught on Zoom right now. I did the early morning class with Ron, and it felt close to being in a real in-person class. He called each student by name, he knew that I was new and checked in with me about whether I knew certain positions. I need to set up my home space better, but I am motivated to do it so I can do another class this weekend. I think this will tide me over through COVID-19 restrictions, and then I will also try their in-person classes!

Despite having zero experience with yoga, I felt comfortable in the class, and the teacher was a young woman who was very casual and friendly. Yoga begins with a short guided meditation to prepare your body. The classroom has various pillows, props, and mats for people who don't have their own, or need a little help due to limited flexibility or mobility (e.g., arthritis). I was not given any kind of sales pitch or anything like that, either when I signed up or during class. The vibe of this place reminded me a bit of the zen center in San Francisco - very family-like, not in a weird or cult way, just a real sense of community there. If you're looking for guided meditation, classic yoga, and a supportive environment where you can learn to relax your mind and body, no matter you age or physical situation, I recommend YIDL.

I wanted to share that I took her "Tapping Into Your Intuition" class last Saturday and feel that it was well worth it. I took the class because I wanted to see if I could use my intuition to play a stronger role in my life. Most of the concepts Mara introduced were fairly new to me, but she made them all completely accessible and I can see how each could benefit me in some way. There are several I plan to use right away. Mara's room was comfortable, well organized, and the environment was very conducive to learning. Mara has mastery, enthusiasm and love for what she is doing and for the people she is serving and it shows. She prepared useful and relevant materials that we can refer back to and use henceforth. The participants were very friendly and the group meshed well imho. Mara did a great job of directing conversations and keeping the class focused. All of us were able to share useful information and, of course, Mara shared a number of helpful resources with us as well. The class was pertinent, interesting, fun, and useful. The time went by all too quickly and when it was over, it seemed hard to tear ourselves away.
