On this particular…read moreday, I was feeling very worried about my condition and really wanted to get an ultrasound in order to make an emergency decision. With the weekend coming up, I was unable to reach my own doctor and even Urgent care was booked for the rest of the week. I checked on Yelp and found Josephs great reviews and sent him a message about my condition. He immediately responded and told me he could make time at the end of his work day to help me do the ultrasound (knowing my condition). Whats really great is that I could pay out of the pocket at a great price without worrying about my medical insurance limitability, which most places will not take. On the same day, I drove to his office in the afternoon and met him. I told him about my worries and he was just so understanding, comforting and told me he would do his best to find any issues and would even provide a note to emergency in case he found something that needed immediate attention. As we went through the ultrasound he kept reassuring me about things, and did a super thorough scan of the area I was concerned about. He provided me with a lot of information, including images I could take home and a report that was sent to me within a few hours. I learned a lot about the scan and felt like I was under the care of someone who really wanted me to pull through. I feel he goes 100% in the work he does! I'm very grateful Joseph was there for me on this day and I don't know how I would have coped if I didn't find him here on Yelp. He is one of a kind and one of the Best there is in service and caring for patients. All around super cool person and truly a gem, Blessings!

The waiting room is spacious. It seems pretty busy and had to wait in line to be checked-in. After you are brought inside, the technician is very nice and double-checked the paperwork. The imaging process is good and technician is nice. One of them even caught a minor paperwork issue and went back to the front desk to have it corrected. For the front desk, service quality isn't consistent and depends on who you get. Vianey is very helpful and knowledgeable. I asked for the X-ray report to be mailed to me and she was able to help me with that. However, when I came another time for MRI and asked for the MRI report to be mailed to me, another lady told me they no longer do it and told me it hasn't been done for a few year. She just tried to brush me off and give me a bunch of BS that they don't do do it anymore. Too bad I didn't get her name (she is Caucasian, has long no light color hair and skinny). Either she's super lazy or she wasn't trained properly. Even if she doesn't know, she could have asked her colleagues. I told her Vianey helped me with such request before and she didn't bother asking others or Vianey at all. Removing a couple stars for her bad attitude. All she has is a pretty face but not helpful.

Less than 1 business day before (Friday night for a Monday morning appointment) they called and said it had to be rescheduled because there was no technician for that room. I would have accepted any normal real response like someone called out sick and couldn't find a replacement- things happen, but the weird non-answer non-reason was so frustrating. Anyways. Zero stars for cancelling less than a business day before and an unprofessional handling of it.

my physician prescribed an Abdominal CT scan at the El Camino hospital imaging center. few weeks…read morelater after the procedure, I got a bill of $14000 for a simple 15 minutes CT scan. The same procedure costs around $1500 at other imaging centers close by. My insurance pays ~$7000. I contacted the billing department and agents all said that hospital imaging service is just plain expensive and I should have asked the cost before signing the paper that I am responsible for the cost. However, I was never told ahead of time that I should get an estimate. This kind of predatory billing practice by the hospital is just plain wrong and everyone will just end up paying more, a lot more than the market rate. I reached out to my insurance company to file an appeal but there is nothing much they can do since they can't change the billing from the provider. I messaged back and forth with the billing department to no veil and the last agent even hung up on me!!!! I finally reach out to the customer experience line at El Camino Hospital and the agent is polite and professional. He takes my complains and promised that he will reach out to the director of the imaging center. I have a feeling that I will end up swallowing the bill but it is a lesson well learned.

It looks like there's a reason you can see him at Stanford, Sutter and El Camino Hospitals.
