Let me say that I can write a lot of great things about this pool builder, yet I also realize that…read morenot everyone will want to read a lengthy review. I'll try to balance it out but mainly, Jeremy is absolutely wonderful. He's competent, meticulous, knowledgeable, accessible, has integrity, is dependable and also super important for me.. friendly and kind. He's a solid human being and I cannot express how lucky we feel to have found a pool builder who we trust implicitly. We went with a fiberglass pool because many reputable folks had mentioned those are better for this climate (freeze/thaw) and when we researched, it matched up. I did get a gunite pool bid to do my due diligence with a professional, but it was clear that Jeremy from Platinum Pool Builders outperformed with his character, customer service, patience and information. Our project took the time Jeremy said it would, majority of all aspects were on time with a few minor exceptions that were beyond Jeremy's control, and all in all it was not issue for us, and communication was spot on. Jeremy's attention to detail - oh boy!!! He's a man after my own OCD heart, ha ha, and the workers he contracts with for example, the concrete guy -- first class all the way. There was a hiccup but as soon as Jeremy found out, the very next day he was at the house making steps to correct it and it was done within a few days. I just cannot stress enough that Jeremy makes things right if things go wrong -- but not much goes wrong because he's that good. The products he uses are top tier. Our project began Labor Day weekend 2025, (and was on completed on time) but we were also able to use the pool and spa by early November 2025, while smaller finishing aspects were still being completed -- and it was amazing to use the pool/spa so early! We kept it in use all winter long. Had the best winter, going into a heated pool 85° and spa 98°-100° (it goes higher but we didn't need it that high even in 18° degree weather outside), such a decadent treat, and the ease of a switch to uncover the pool cover -- fully automated.. it seems like a dream but it's our reality. I'm super extra excited as the warmer weather begins and have our own little oasis. We did opt for a saltwater pool and spa, and it's lovely. Feels clean and healing to use, not fussy to take care of and less stress and worry about all the chemicals, yadda yadda. And the vacuum system (Vicky the vacuum we call her) helps keep the pool clean, along with the cover we have - the low maintenance is unbelievable considering all of my friends and family who have or have had pools do nothing but complain about upkeep and all that jazz. Ultimate, with Jeremy, he truly cares about his craft and doing a good job. He cares about you and what you want and helps you navigate (because for us, it's our first pool project) and I had a lot of questions, thoughts, clarifications and Jeremy helped me through the process talking things out and gave good suggestions all while saying, it's my choice and he'll do what I want. I know I said I'd be balanced and not long-winded and well, I suck at that so there you go, to those who read through this entire review, thanks and I hope it helps you at least give Jeremy a shot at a meeting with him. A pool is a big investment and to have someone who really honors your business and project, I mean it's what we all want when working with someone. He's truly a gem!

He's so meticulous with everything, he even had the crane lift the pool back up to shift it an 18th of an inch. He went above and beyond, even letting me know when he'd find sprinkler lines so I wouldn't have the added expense of running all new lines. He never came back to me with added cost, even though I'm sure he ran into issues that cost him more time and expense. His quote was all we paid, this isn't typical. The added things he does, that other contractors don't, really sets him apart and the reason we chose to have him build our dream pool. Thank you Platinum Pool Builders for everything, you guys are true pros

When others either didn't respond to our request or felt it was more than they wanted to do, Premier excitedly gave us the design we wanted and a pathway to make it possible. Premier Pools Our…read moreinitial interaction with Scott and Jason was great, they impressed us with their knowledge and quick design service that was everything we were looking for, so we signed a contract to build a $145k pool. They gave us a start date for July 2019 after meeting with them in April 2019 which made sense since it was starting their busy season. They then surprised us and stared June 2019. The first day was great, they were both on site and started digging the pool, from then forward the problems started. Excavation * Their excavation team came back numerous times with zero notice and would cut sprinkler lines without telling anyone. The project manager never informed us of anything going on. * The excavation team would also shut off our main water line without any notice causing most of our yard and fruit trees to die. The only reason we realized the water was shut off was seeing our grass severely drying out. * We let both Scott and Jason know that this was happening and that their team HAS to let the homeowner know if they're turning water of or cutting lines. They ensured us it wouldn't happen again. That was a lie, it happened at least three more times. * Of course, Premier does not pay for any repairs to sprinkler lines or landscaping so they have zero concerns with cutting and piling dirt wherever they like. We had to call the sprinkler company 7 times to cap lines and then to finally replace and re-route everything at the end of the project which cost us an additional $4500. * They piled dirt in our yard in locations that would have been unaffected had they cared about killing landscaping, but of course, not their cost so they don't care. * They then left dirt on the property until we begged them to come get it or to use it to even out the land that they had disturbed. We were told that they don't do any leveling of the yard so they removed all the dirt. We then had to bring our own dirt back in to level everything for sod to be laid. * They drove over all of the curbing around our garden beds (not even close to the pool) so we've paid to have those also repaired. * Due to their massive amount of dirt all over the property we spent over $5k in sod and seed. Plumbing/Shotcrete * The contractors they used for plumbing and concrete had zero cares for our property. * They left lighters, razor blades, rebar, half-eaten sandwiches and water bottles all over our yard. We complained about the ridiculous amount of trash to Scott and Jason and they first said that someone would be out in two weeks to clean it up. We replied that we would just do it ourselves or leave trash bags out for their contractors and then they decided to send someone out to clean up the mess the following day. Their excuse was that they clean up trash at the end, which would be acceptable it their wasn't trash all over our yard (back and front). * We had an umbrella hole placed on our plans in the middle of a tanning shelf, they put the hole in the wrong place and stated that the plans are just an idea and not exact. We told them that was not okay and they drilled a second hole for the umbrella. * When doing the interior pebble, the contractors washed their debris down the drain on the street. We had the sheriff come by as a complaint had been filed. They also left supplies on the street on pallets which was against the law. Scheduling/Communication * We were told at the beginning of the project that it should be done in 6 weeks. Later we were told August 30th. Scott claimed that no one had promised dates when we asked why things were not progressing at the beginning of August. * We asked their schedule and were told that there is no schedule and that they meet every day and decide where contractors are working that day. As General Contractors ourselves, we found this hard to believe and a terrible business practice. * After going back and forth with Scott, we told him that the pool needed to be done at 90 days which was September 17 as their contract states 60-90 days. He told us that he would have to put us ahead of other customers and delay their projects in order to finish on "our timeframe". Not professional at all to blame your customer for your scheduling issues. * The pool was finished on the date promised, but the decking was not poured until a week later and equipment not started up either. Decking * On the date that decking was to be poured they realized they had the wrong plans and were short concrete. They told us they could either pour it that day or reschedule it for 4-6 weeks later to pour it correctly. At that point we had waited so long that we told them just to pour it as is and credit us for the missing concrete. * They poured the concrete and returned that night to cut it. Their contractor ran out of gas while cutting concrete in our yard at 9 PM and knocked on our door to ask if they could borrow gas. Extremely unprofessional. * The decking was discolored and brown in spot

I hired him to do work on several of my projects and assisted him in designing several projects of his own. I liked his attitude so much I was very hopefull and wanted to help him get up and running here in Idaho. I even loaned him money when he needed a new family vehicle. Come to find out that all of the photos he showed me were built by other pool contractors that he simply worked for. I learned a valuable lesson as everything he touched was done wrong. Horribly wrong. I have since spoken with other people that hired Jake to work on their pools and it was one horror story after another. I cannot speak to his skills pouring flatwork or kitchen tile but Jake has no business building swimming pools and the last thing we need here in Idaho is another underqualified swimming pool contractor.

But now after a year of asking and researching pool construction I can with considerable confidence rate their installation as very poor.
