This is the second time that I've been to the tattoo and piercing shop; the first time I went with a friend and also came in for a repiercing due to a hospitalization. I'm hoping this will be the last time that I go to this shop for a repiercing, but I will definitely come back here if I have to. Joslyn was extremely professional and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time during the piercing process by double checking that it didn't hurt. I had to purchase one of their steel titanium jewelry ($15 was the cheapest one) and was not allowed to use my own jewelry that I bought from Laughing Buddha. Which is totally understandable and makes sense as to why they don't use other jewelry outside of their own. I think it also specifies in their rules or contract that you're not allowed to bring in outside jewelry, but I would call to make sure. I also did not like that they didn't have a more comfortable waiting/seating area. Those tiny chairs on wheels are not really plus-sized friendly and I would have appreciated a regular chair instead of those. The online booking experience for an appointment within 3 days was easy to use on their website. I believe there was a $5 security deposit that goes into your overall total at the end of your piercing/tattoo session. In fact, my piercer Joslyn even emailed me to ask questions about my piercing history and whatnot. I really appreciated her attentiveness to detail and for taking the initiative to understand her customer's needs. Overall, I had a pleasant experience with my piercer Joslyn and would highly recommend her for your piercing needs. Thanks again!!

The piercer's tools broke during the appointment, and I was left in a lot of pain while waiting for everything to be fixed and finished. Every other piercing shop I've visited has felt welcoming and comfortable, but Somatic came across as awkward and somewhat judgmental, which made the overall experience even less enjoyable.

But the reason I'm writing this post is because I found out I'm allergic to a great deal of my environment and had to get my dermal removed. He joked around about it when I scheduled, and made it so much more lighthearted because I was stressed. Then when he did the procedure, he made sure to ask what I could tolerate, even when he put the tape on. That dermal was in there too, had been in for 13 years... took David all of six seconds to get it out and he made it seem easy. Needless to say, he's the only person our family goes to for tattoo and piercing services now. We've also met the owner and today we met a beautiful female artist with red locks that also works there, and I've been to lots of shops in my life and this shop is by far my favorite vibe. What I was recommended with my first daughter is to call before so I can ensure there were two staff members to do a double piercing. This time I made sure there was two staff members working at the same time before heading to the mall. Boy was it baby piercing day on Sunday. There were five babies before us but the wait wasn't bad at all. Kim was very patient and helpful with my daughter. She confirmed that my baby was calm enough for a double piercing. Most babies move their head back and forth so a double isn't possible. Kim also had to dot her left ear multiple times just because it was a little differently shaped than her right. We were able to successfully do a double. My daughter cried her brains out after for a little bit (as expected) but the simultaneous piercing experience was definitely better than the single ear. At least the pain was done in one punch. Loved how it turned out.
