Located in DTLB off of Broadway and Linden, I was lucky to find a metered spot on Linden right around the corner. I was warmly greeted by one of the tattoo artists and she allowed me to visit with my friend. I only stayed 30 min and my friend sent me a pic of her tattoo and the artist did amazing work! I believe my friend said she was there from noon til the time she sent me the pic which was around 6pm (of course with breaks).

Then he did my knuckles(another tribute to my brother). We came back to him for our wedding bands. He's always been so much fun, so professional, so clean and hygienic. But the reason I'm writing this post is because I found out I'm allergic to a great deal of my environment and had to get my dermal removed. He joked around about it when I scheduled, and made it so much more lighthearted because I was stressed. Then when he did the procedure, he made sure to ask what I could tolerate, even when he put the tape on. That dermal was in there too, had been in for 13 years... took David all of six seconds to get it out and he made it seem easy. Needless to say, he's the only person our family goes to for tattoo and piercing services now. We've also met the owner and today we met a beautiful female artist with red locks that also works there, and I've been to lots of shops in my life and this shop is by far my favorite vibe. Everyone is a pleasure to talk to and we always leave this place super happy. Thank you broadway tattoo!!! You guys are awesome!

Bad experience with Jack Mauk. Gave a deposit for the first tattoo, a geisha with a dragon that takes up the entire outside of my thigh from knee to hip. Ended up being exceptionally cheap for how big the tattoo was and how long it took him to complete. During the tattoo he made kisses towards the vagina on the geisha that he was tattooing. Pretty weird and red flag. Second tattoo, no deposit required for some reason, but he charged me double the amount of the first tattoo for a much smaller and wayyy less detailed tattoo on my calf. I guess not responding to the kissing towards the tattoo or being receptive in general to his weird vibe caused a pricing change for the second tattoo. When called out on the pricing changes and cringy "flirting" he told me I was not welcome back to the shop. At first I was really upset by his treatment, especially because I wanted to return to see Damien for another tattoo, and was going to contact Tom, the owner. But I have found better artists at shops like Classic Fullerton and Roseland Tattoo that would never dream of treating a client the way Jack treated me. Not the smartest business move and just all around weiiiirrdd.
