The museum is opened from 12 pm to 5 pm. I've been to Upland several times but we were usually here in the mornings and we never stayed long enough for me to visit, however last weekend we came in the afternoon so I was looking forward to visit. Outside, it's a lovely white 1947 Art Modern building which was used as the Ontario-Cucamonga fruit exchange and inside is the museum that shows you the history and culture of the surrounding cities of Upland, Ontario, Montclair and Rancho Cucamonga. While browsing inside, I had the pleasure of meeting Marilyn Anderson, the Museum Director. I heard wonderful stories of how it was like growing up in Upland. I can imagine her running along the orange groves with her best friend, climbing the trees and hanging out at the corner market watching as people would drive by to pump the gas. Listening to her stories was amazing. She is also a talented artist. You can see some of her work throughout the museum. I picked up several articles that were free to visitors. She wrote in almost every article. Plus with each issue there are stories from other Upland resident of their memories as well as recipes. I was able to go into the library and asked Marilyn if she could show me her High School picture and she was able to find it. She's a remarkable woman and beautiful lady inside and out. I was able to take a selfie with her. There's so much I could tell you, but rather you should go visit the museum yourself and find out about the history of these local cities. My son was born in San Antonio Hospital in Upland so I wanted to share a bit of the city's history with him too.

They definitely limit the tasting options compared to the large selection of wines they actually have. That said, the restaurant itself looked nice and clean, and the glasses were sturdy and easy to swirl in. I think this place could make for a good night out, so I'm hoping we just caught them on a bad day.

The environments were incredibly detailed and the ghosts were all very into it. I was genuinely impressed. The 3D effects were also very cool and added a dimension of scariness and obstacles to our maze. There was unpredictable suspense at every corner and behind every curtain. I came with 2 friends and even though we were scared as heck, we had a lot of fun. I could see this definitely being scary enough for older kids - adults (we were 3 full grown adults!!!). I also appreciated how the horror was more wholesome than some places that take the gruesomeness and scary weapons over the top. For reference, we were able to get in for $15 a person when buying online. Free parking is pretty easy to find. It took us 15-20 min to get through the whole thing. While shopping at a nearby vintage store in Claremont, a local noticed my Dodgers shirt and asked if we had heard about Pedro Guerrero signing autographs just around the corner. She told us to check out Legends Attic, and we're so glad we listened. Walking in, it immediately felt different from your typical memorabilia shop. The vibe is upscale yet nostalgic like a cross between a luxury sports car and a private museum. The lighting, the layout, the attention to detail , you can tell it was created by someone who lives and breathes sports. That someone just happens to be Dodgers legend Orel Hershiser, who owns the store. The shop is sectioned into themed rooms and areas that feel like mini-exhibits. One room is entirely dedicated to Dodgers memorabilia, featuring signed bats, baseballs, jerseys, artwork, and even Orel Hershiser's trophies. It's not just a display it feels like you're walking through a timeline of baseball greatness. There's even a Jackie Robinson-signed postcard and a Babe Ruth-autographed piece, which absolutely blew us away. Another section is devoted to Lakers history, with signed basketballs, photographs, and rare merchandise. There's a football corner with helmets, trading cards, and signed jerseys. My 7-year-old son was able to experience a signing event for Miguel Rojas. Although the event was super packed and at times overwhelming, the staff did their best to keep things as organized which I appreciated as a parent because it was my son's best experience meeting an MLB player up close and personal. I'd recommend stopping by this family friendly all aged shop. My daughter bought herself a Barbie and Disney Topps cards. All the staff are super friendly and attentive as well! If you have tried to come to the art walk and not seen much art, you need to explore a little bit harder. Several of the galleries are actually underground and you have to enter buildings to gain access. Ask any shop owner about where the galleries are, and they are happily to direct you. If you're looking for family, friendly options, usually the area by Shaun Diamond Plaza is nice to hang around as you eat food from the vendors and food trucks that come out each month. There's also Cafe con Libros, a local bookstore with lots of children's books and friendly staff. The best time to come with family is the second Saturday closest to Dia de Los muertes (Nov 1) were you are likely to be able to see live Ballet Folklorico on the east side of Gary on 2nd Street. Kids can also come dressed up if it's before Halloween and often shop owners will be giving out candy. Sometime in the fall, I believe there is a chalk art contest, which is always fun to participate in or observe. The most festive time of year is of course second Saturday before Christmas. There is an ice rink in Shaun Diamond Plaza. it's also a wonderful time to support local entrepreneurs and artists who are selling everything from live plants to clothing to jewelry to other fun unique gifts for the holidays. I was pleasantly surprised by the turnout. There was a solid crowd for such a small area. The festival highlighted various cultural traditions, including lion dancing, traditional attire, and festive foods, which made the event feel lively and engaging. There were also several small vendors set up around the main event selling trinkets, artisan-made cups, handmade glassware, woodwork, and other unique items. Plenty of food vendors were present as well, though I'm not sure if that's typical for the regular art walk or specific to the holiday celebration. My group wasn't able to stay for the later evening portion of the event, but it's definitely something we'd consider checking out in the future.
