I can't believe I don't have to travel all the way to Korea to get a comprehensive color analysis…read more It's available in OC! Karen is incredibly personable, sweet, and informative! She starts the session doing a mini presentation, which breaks down color theory, the four seasons, and styling guides for each season. There are also informational handouts provided as well, which is so helpful if this is new information for you (like me)! The next part is the color analysis and Karen provides a phone mount, so you can record yourself during the process. This is especially supportive if you want to go back to review your season's colors. Then she goes into complementary hair colors, glasses frames, and eyebrow shape! The last part of the session goes over your season and makeup products she recommends. During this process, she sends an Amazon link, which organizes makeup products by season, and additional styling guides. As someone who is wanting to be intentional about what makeup and clothes I purchase, I highly recommend Karen's services ‍

Karen was very sweet throughout the entire session, and I would totally recommend anyone who what wants to know what season they are to go to The Ryeon! Thank you, Karen!!

I had boxes I never unpacked after moving in over a year ago, plus a wave of new boxes from the UK with items from my mum and my nan. It was emotional and overwhelming, and I needed my home to feel like my space again while honoring the things I had inherited. Enter Shannon and everything shifted. She helped me tackle every corner of my home: both bedrooms, my closets, the linen closet, the downstairs storage, all of it. She did not just organize, she helped me rethink how I live in my space. We redesigned areas I never would have thought to change, and the difference is unbelievable. Shannon and her team were incredible. Patient, kind, thoughtful at every step. She never pushed, never rushed, and always respected my things and the stories behind them. What felt like heavy emotional work became something manageable, even enjoyable. She found beautiful ways to incorporate the items I inherited so I can actually see them and appreciate them instead of keeping them boxed away. My home finally feels calm, comfortable, and like a place where I can exhale again. She helped me create a space that feels safe, warm, and truly mine. Having Shannon's help has transformed my life! Sounds dramatic, but seriously, having space for everything, knowing where to find things and being able to easily access and see all of my tools and supplies is the best feeling EVER! My husband reminds me ALLLLL the time how much he loves his own space for his cycling bottles and powders. Shannon is very enjoyable to work with, she's also quick, methodical and practical. Thank you, Shannon! I will definitely use you again and recommend you to my friends.

Most importantly, she helped me narrow in on my vision and clothing style, and how the two would intersect. She also educated me on the different brands and how to tell good quality clothes from mass-produced clothing where you're paying a high price just for the brand. 8 months later and I have been slowly curating my ideal closet based on that initial consultation, and her lessons always run through my head whenever I go shopping. I also really appreciate that she's always available on her Facebook group as well whenever I have a question for a continuing education! She is very detailed and creative and I would recommend her to anyone I know who is looking to spruce up their wardrobe for a special occasion or even just to change their daily style. We started the day reviewing my old clothes. She showed me why some clothes weren't working for my body type and kept the ones that fit. From there, she made a list of clothes I needed for my lifestyle and where to go to find them within my budget. Usually shopping days are very stessful, but with Candace's guidance and new education she provided, I am rocking it! Thank you Candace - 10 stars if I could!

Carol is great! She was recommended to me by French Hand Laundry. I brought my antique wedding…read moredress to her after another tailor almost ruined it. From the minute I walked into Carol's home/sewing studio, I knew that she was going to be able to save my dress. Why? Because I quickly learned that she had the three qualities essential for a good tailor: experience (an M.A. in Costume Design and 30+ years of alterations), creativity, and the ability to listen. Believe me, that last quality is extremely important in a tailor. I learned the hard way. Carol warmly listened to my wishes, concerns, and even amateur alteration ideas, before thoughtfully and gently examining the dress, and brainstorming ways to fix it. She is very creative. I like to sew and tailor my own clothes so I appreciate that she listened to my ideas, even if they weren't necessarily good, or economical. Lastly, Carol has experience working with antique garments, which in my case was extremely beneficial. Not everyone understands or appreciates Edwardian era clothing. Carol respected the history of the dress, while also making a couple of alterations to make it more contemporary. One of the alterations she did was to take in the sleeves. At the time, I kept asking her to take them in more, but in retrospect she was absolutely right in stopping where she did. If she'd taken them in like I originally asked I probably wouldn't have been able to lift my arms! Not to mention that she was working with a 100 year old dress, which, while not fragile, could have ripped when I was dancing. The other tailor wouldn't even take in the sleeves, and then Carol went and took them in! She also gave me a lot of pep talks. And good advice on the proper undergarments to wear under the dress. And tips on what to do if I broke out in a sweat (hello pit stains!). Lastly, her sewing studio is very clean. She even laid a sheet on the carpet for me to walk on, just in case I picked up fluff from a black garment she had been working on. And she hand ironed my dress!!! It was so smooth that even though I had to transport my dress from Los Angeles to Cape Cod, where I got married, it stayed wrinkle free and I didn't even bother to try to get it ironed before my wedding day. As my friend said at the wedding, the dress "fit me like a glove." Thank you, Carol!

I purchased a dress and in the moment of being so excited to find a polka dot dress, I guess I didn't notice how the bottom of the zipper made me look like I had a duck tail (see before photo.) I explained my issue to Carol (who by the way is my cousin and lives across the US from me) and she said she could fix it. Before shipping the dress to her, I sent a couple photos so she could see the exact problem. She was confident she would make the zipper fit properly. She worked her magic and I no longer have a duck tail (see after photo.) I was thrilled because I wanted to wear the dress to an upcoming event. I recommend Carol for anything from original designs to alterations - you will be very pleased with the final creation.

Carolyn is so kind and sweet, and she made going through my outdated closet efficient and fun. She took into consideration things I cared about, and found me looks that met my needs, but also breathed new life into my wardrobe (like color! and patterns!). The whole process was also so, so easy. Carolyn brought a whole bunch of clothes, I had fun trying things on, and then she came back one last time with different sizes and some tailored clothes. I really appreciated that she understands fit -- when it came to something fitting well, that was a non-negotiable, and I learned a lot from Carolyn. The lookbook is a great resource and I've been using it when I need ideas. But honestly a lot of the pieces go so well with each other that I haven't had any problem putting something together. The whole experience was far more fun than I expected, and it's had a bigger impact on my day to day than I ever expected. Thank you, Carolyn!

The digital wardrobe was an interesting concept, but I did not find it particularly useful in practice. Most of the items I purchased were ultimately returned or sold. There were also purchases I did not feel I had approved, and when I attempted to address these concerns, I did not receive a meaningful response. Because my concerns remained unresolved and not responded to (I had given a week), I cancelled our final meeting as it's awkward having someone ignore you then come to your home. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable continuing the working relationship. The fashion suggestions were very basic ie "where a cardigan with a dress" and not what would expect from a stylist, more like something at the mall. This review reflects my personal experience as a paying client. Based on that experience, I would not work with this stylist again.
