As I looked up Car Source Collision center, Mia S.'s 5 star review was more than enough to convince me to take my car here. And Im so grateful that I did! Andrew was amazing..explaining the process, keeping me posted on updates, and even graciously transporting me to/from the car rental place. But the absolute best part-my car repair looked fantastic!! Perhaps looked even better than prior to my fender bender :) Also, Car Source Collision Center was the most cleanest and stylish body shop Ive ever visited. I bemoaned how every shop I contacted in my NJ/NY/PA tristate area seemed shady, was too expensive, did not do this kind of work, or needed at least a year. I called Jim from a third-party recommendation (MAACO, with whom Jim lost or dissolved his franchise--I suspect the former), and he explained I had contacted the right business. Promised: restoration in under a year, no more than $30,000 cost, and wonderful results from his kids (his team). I even bought him and his wife dinner. We seemed to be getting along. That was May of 2022. It is now January 2025. I recently reached out to him, but he replied with a notarized "DO NOT CONTACT" letter, not signed by a judge (no judge would ever sign), and he wishes to charge me $58 a day storage fees. He has over $7000 of new parts (suspension system, disc brakes, chassis, and more), my truck engine and exhaust system, and my BF Goodrich tires and wheels. I am the client. I am trusting his years of experience and integrity. I was yelled at continuously on the phone by Jim whenever I reached out about the delays. I was told I was at fault. And that now, in his notarized reply, he wishes to charge me for holding my truck two years over the agreed date of completion. THIS LATEST LETTER FROM HIM, I HOPE, CONVINCES YOU, THE READER, THAT HE IS A LIAR AND THIEF. I am pursuing Consumer Fraud and televised media as well to bring his malfeasance to light.

Jim enjoys laying the blame of his lack of progress on the client--an astounding talent. The truck was to be auctioned off for the LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA SOCIETY to raise funds for cancer clinical trials. I saw the great reviews here, so brought it in to see what could be done because it seemed obvious that something was just misaligned. Tech came out to inspect my car and was telling me I definitely needed new hinges! I might need a new door! This is going to run a lot of money! That they weren't going to try to investigate a misalignment because they wanted to do things "the right way!" Sure buddy. I thanked him, left and went to the body shop just down the street. Where a tech took a look at the door, determined that the A-pillar on the car door hinge had just gotten bumped out of place, bumped it back into place which fixed the problem, and within 15 seconds sent me on my way. Didn't even charge me because it was such a minor "repair" if you can even call it that. Royal might be good at what they do, I don't know. But they tried to upsell me on a repair that was thousands of dollars for something that wasn't even broken and was a component easily pushed right back into place. So definitely get a second opinion if you go here.

Super shady shop!!! I bought a car from a guy who gave me complete maintenance records of all the…read morerepairs Leading Edge did for him. There were all sorts of scams and unnecessary repairs including: 1. Leading Edge replaced the front brakes at 119k miles and then again at 130k miles. Brakes again after 11k!! Front brakes should last at least 40k miles, usually more like 60-70k. 2. Leading Edge replaced the lower control arms at 116k and again at 146k. Control arm bushings last at least 100k miles. If you need control arms again at 30k, either the parts were junk or the alignment wasn't done right. 3. Leading Edge charged labor to replace both the serpentine belt and the alternator. You have to remove the belt to remove the alternator, so an honest shop wouldn't charge for the belt when doing the alternator. To charge full price for both is outrageous. 4. Leading Edge charged $250 to replace the radiator and $174 to replace the radiator hoses. You have to remove the hoses to replace the radiator. Here again, it's a rip off to charge labor for both. 5. Leading Edge charged $475 labor (just labor!!) to install tires, clean the beads, and replace one TPMS. $60-120 is typical at most shops for all this work, especially if you are buying tires from them. $475 for tire installation is probably the most outrageous repair scam I've ever seen.
