We were able to get an x-ray, x-ray reading, dr consult, and an orthopedic shoe to protect the breaks all at one stop. We had huge hesitation to come back to TOC, but in this case it was helpful. We still had to fill out the same information three times (at the desk, at the automated kiosk, and also in paper formats) just like when we came for the spinal office visit- NOT ideal in an urgent care scenario. But considering our other option was to drive to Madison with a broken foot, we were happy TOC offers Orthopedic Urgent Care.

Hannah was my personal therapist and it became apparent early on that she knew her stuff. My therapy was 12 weeks in duration and Hannah was careful to move me along slowly being a 70 year old male in relatively good shape. At the end of twelve weeks I had complete motion in my shoulder and she provided home exercises during and post therapy. My shoulder Doc was very impressed with my progress and after my second post op visit said he did not need to see me anymore. You could not ask for a friendlier staff. I had over thirty therapy appointments and was notified the day before each one and rarely had to wait to get started. I asked for management when I received a half hour session when I was scheduled for an hour, they just chuckled and looked at me as if to say they could care less what I wanted. I would not recommend this group to anyone needing extensive therapy.

Problems with my neck and doctor gave prescription for physical therapy. He didn't have a recommendation, so I chose this place because of its location. PT was fine but trying to get them to file my insurance claims has turned into a disaster. If I described everything that has go on, this review would turn into a novel. After 2 weeks of going, I asked were they filing. Answer-yes. After 3 weeks since I had not got any statements from insurance, asked again. Yes, they said, insurance companies can be slow. 4 weeks, same question, same response. After 5 weeks, I call my insurance. They had not received anything from them. She offers to call to get it resolved, leaves message, phone call not returned. This happens 3 more times that week. I'm calling also, getting transferred to claims, answer machine only, leave messages, no returned phone calls. Another week goes by, I called home office and tell them I want to speak to an actual human. I tell the woman the problem and she checks into it. Short story, I thought she was actually helping. Nope. More calls, now they are actually lying about what the problem is. Every phone call is different person telling a different reason why it hasn't been filed. I had to pay each visit, not cheap, because they said deductible not met yet. Now, I know why. This is still continuing because no one will help or give straight answer. Decatur location, the woman at front desk tried to blame my insurance saying they rejected claims which is a bald-faced lie. Then, she became combative, condescending, hateful and rude. Her name is Lacey, avoid this woman. Still waiting. Nothing being done. Another reason from them why they haven't filed my claims. 2 months later, more stalling.

I was diagnosed recently with a lumbar issue and immediately called to schedule therapy with my favorite therapist.

But the difference in care is so drastic! I was floored at the kindness, attention to me and not the clock. Everyone is a part of your team cheering you on to the next goal of strengthening your muscles and rebuilding confidence that you will meet your goals. As an elder, I wasn't expecting much. Usually you are treating as if you have lost your ability to look ahead after healing not moving into your new future. This is the place for comforting, moral boosting and overall knowledge of how to care for my needs. Treat yourself to what you deserve. And in my opinion this is the gold standard for after surgery care.

It was wonderful working with Physical Therapists who understand runners and cyclists both physically and emotionally. Every session is different and begins with questions about what has happened since the previous session. At that point, the Physical therapist adjusts the plan for the day if needed. Sessions with Andrea and Cindy (Madison, County Line location) included exercises plus hands-on treatment for specific areas including massage, rolling, suction cups or whatever is needed. With their education and decades of experience they identified spots that needed attention when I did not realize those spots were the source of problems. The initial examination was very thorough and documented to identify progress. Nesin's holistic approach really worked for me. I had two sessions at a large facility and knew the impersonal cookie-cutter approach was not a good fit for me. I am so grateful that I switched to Nesin. The NTS facility is not large and overwhelming but still has tremendous resources. The staff made sure I understood how to do specific exercises at home and were very reinforcing when my progress showed that I had been working. After sessions I felt spoiled and rewarded sitting with TENS (mild electrical current to reduce pain) and either ice or heat. I am incredibly grateful for the NTS team and highly recommend them.
