I have been sick for 3 days. The worst cough, chills, headache you know good times. I went there…read moretoday and I was told by the girl at the front desk I had a balance. Say what? I was confused because I had been there many times well, her supervisor came over and told me I owed over 300 since 2019. 2019!? I explained I didn't know and I had seen the dr before. Well, they didn't follow procedure then. That's what she said. Of course I could pay 100 plus the co pay and see the doctor. Now, I am in the er waiting on a covid test. I am really sick.

Currently, I'm sitting here directly in front of American family care of 7583 . I just wanna do…read morethis quick review because it's necessary at this time. There's a nurse practitioner here go by the name of Janice Pearson, and please forgive me, but this is the worst experience with any nurse practitioner that I've ever had in my life I was just a number to this lady today. This is the way I felt because she treated me very cold, not and not friendly. time she was in the room with I knew how much her husband weigh. I knew how big he is. I knew that he lost I knew that he has back issues. he's currently working as a paramedic or EMS I have to listen to at the same time I'm sitting in the chair so much pain trying to tolerate getting through these unpleasant menace of listen to this Miss Pearson talk to me about her to me about my pain that I came here for today or my problems needed that I had to come here in the first place. as soon as Miss Pearson was done, she we'll see what we can do for you. Within 2 to 3 minutes later Miss Pearson walked in the room, handed me several pieces of handout paperwork she pulled back the door wide open, so that it could stick to the suction cup on the wall, which means it stays open and always all she said to me, there you go! I'm sitting there looking crazy had no idea what the hell she was talking about. I got up and walked to the receptionist looking very I told the young lady I don't know what to do, but this and most strangest care that I've ever had in a facility. Seconds later, the assistance open the door, looking for me because I thought it was time for me to go home. her name is Santana and she's very says I have a injection for you. I I told Santana I had no idea what was going to happen because her nurse practitioner basically told me get the hell out ! nonverbal. Janice Pearson does not seem to like people of color and I can tell she didn't want to be near me because she never me at all not even with a pair of gloves on and that is sad. It is also sad that these young ladies medical assistance that work here they work very hard they all are super sweet, including the office manager the clinic manager, Cornelia White. They're all very sweet and kind. It is sad. They didn't have to work with someone who seems to have a heart of hate towards a certain class of people as if they don't matter. If Janice Pearson is here the next time I should have to come back for my follow up then I will turn around and walk right back out the door because I refused to be in company of someone evil or unfriendly or unkind and don't seem to take interest in treating me as I'm a human rather than treat me like I'm an animal. I feel bad for the friendly staff that they have to work with someone to this nature and I pray that at some point, God will remove the negative energy not welcome this type of time place in healthcare organizations. This is my personal experience and it doesn't happen to me anything to anyone else out there but as a healthcare professional of 20 for nearly 10 years, A wonderful mother and wife, I refuse to accept anything less than friendly kindness, respect, and gratitude to those who gives it back. I am and this is how I feel without prejudice only the truth.. may God bless each and everyone of you and please take care of yourselves. Go see the doctors with pride because they are doctors for reasons. Thank you.

All of the doctors, nurses, tech, etc in the ICU were fantastic. After leaving ICU, I was placed on a regular form for an additional 4 days or so. My doctors, again, were fantastic; very personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about me as their patient. Overall, I had a wonderful experience while in Athens Limestone Hospital, as wonderful as one can have being so ill. I would like to address to people directly though. I had nurse by the name of Gabby while on the regular floor. She was horrible. She should not be a nurse, not for Athens Limestone Hospital nor for any other hospital. When she first came into my room, it was immediately obvious that she did not want to be there and could not have cared less about me, as her patient, and presumably about any other of her patients. She was not friendly, did not want to be bothered to helped me, would not answer her page and on many occasions never came into my room to see what I needed and was the only nurse to jab the diabetes needle into my arm, which actually hurt. She is beyond a horrible nurse, and should be fired immediately. She is not a good representative for Athens Limestone Hospital. I would also like to comment on Barbara; she goes by Bam Bam or Jo Jo. She is with the housekeeping staff. She was fantastic. She went above and beyond, way above and beyond, what her job would require her to do. She always had a big smile on her fact when she came into my room, enjoyed talking with me, and genuinely cared how I was doing. She cleaned my room far better than any of the other housekeeping staff, taking the time to go the extra mile. She is a true asset to Athens Limestone Hospital and one that I hope is recognized for her exceptional service. Thank you, Bam. You made my stay at the hospital more enjoyable with your presence.

I called before getting dressed and was told about thirty minute wait today but I was in and out with prescriptions called in to pharmacy ready to be picked up in less than 45 minutes. I saw Dr. Purner who can be hit or miss with bedside manner, but he was pleasant today. After his diagnosis he sent nurse back in for my shot and I was out. Also I go here when I need to because my primary care doctor is in Madison and I don't need to make appointments I have never had a bad experience and there is always the option to see your regular doctor if you are not improving or go back to them. The receptionist are always very sweet and so are the nurses, I know they are seeing the same symptoms all day long but you wouldn't know it from how they treat you individually.

The place was pack, but the waiting area was big and open that you don't feel like you're cooped in a chicken house incubating germs from others. I didn't see the doctor, just a physician nurse. She was knowledgable and reasonable. She referred me to another doctor and offered to "refund" my money since there wasn't anything she can do at the place. She made sure I had an appointment with the other doctor on that day, which I thought was extremely rare and highly appreciated. This urgent care is definitely on my go-to place if/when I can't see my family doctor.
