If you are staying at the hotel, they recommend you come in the robe from your room which I did. I waited a few minutes in their lounge then my therapist Marisol came and got me. She took me to a nice room around the corner. I got an 80 minute massage. Marisol did a good job working all of my various body parts and ask about the pressure. I said she could actually go hard and she did. Overall a really nice massage. Its a small space so it does not have a changing room or shower facilities so I just went back to my room to shower.

We're not talking about basic stretches either, were talking full blown legs up in the air, grunting obnoxiously, doing the splits. Last time I was in there, he was literally doing the splits on his back; spread eagle for all to see! The only reason I'm putting this review in is because the owner and / or management need to know about this. I have already complained twice to the front desk, but the 20yr old kid on shift isn't going to do anything about it. Front desk kid even said they 'talked to the guy already, but he wont stop.' Hey how about suspending his membership? Then revoking it? It's not rocket science how to solve this problem. I don't care if he wants to stretch so he can get good at 'the splits' and I don't care that he wants to be nude, I care that he wants to do both at the same time and take up half the fkng sauna. Wear speedo shorts or don't put your balls up in the air. It's one or the other my guy. For clarity, I have included some images (not sure what yelp did with them) to help demonstrate to management the types of moves this guy is doing (while naked). He is visually assaulting my retinas and I've had enough of his inappropriate exhibitionist behavior. I'm just as tolerant as anyone else, but this creep has got to go!

When we found Hotel Chimayo, the pictures looked charming online. They made it seem like it was a quiet, comfortable, and pet-friendly place to stay. Unfortunately, the only thing that was really great was the underground, gated parking garage. Otherwise, we debated checking out an hour after check-in to find another place to stay. First, they claimed that it was going to start snowing in seven weeks and that they shut the A/C off in preparation for that - we suspect the AC is actually broken. It was 89 degrees during the day with no air at all and at night, the air was so still from zero cross breeze that sleeping was very uncomfortable. We asked for a fan and they said they gave the last one away. Second, the rooms are old - there's sagging and water stains on the ceiling, the bathroom is clean but dated to a point it doesn't look sanitary; and the bed and pillows were like sleeping on a plank of wood (that's a personal preference though). Third, the location is in a very loud section of town. It's clear the locals do not like tourists and as such, rev their engines down the small street at all hours. Fourth, there is no pet relief area. You have to walk a block down the street and across to a park that is hit or miss on it being safe. My suggestion: Find a quiet rental near the churches or an inn, in that direction instead.

They have a special membership with no commitment for travelers and I cannot recommend this gym highly enough. The gym itself is clean, modern, bright and has a great energy. It features top of the line equipment and includes everything that you can possibly think of (rowers, ellipticals, treadmills, stair stepper, TRX bands, etc.). On top of the gym equipment, the membership includes access to red light therapy & Normatec compression for full body. For an additional cost, you can enjoy the sauna and cold plunge located in a separate locked room. The owner, Douglas, is so kind and welcoming. The other trainers are the same. If you have the opportunity, purchasing a training session(s) with any of them would be a great investment. You could tell each of their clients truly enjoyed them and they were consistently busy. With that, even with 3-4 trainers seeing clients, there was plenty of room for other members to workout. The gym itself has three separate workout areas and plenty of machines / equipment to be shared. If we lived in Santa Fe this would be the gym that I would join without question.
