It's a straightforward gym. They have all the things. It's $20 for a day pass and they supply locks and towels. You can't go wrong.

Everything about this place is great except one thing... There's a male patron doing naked yoga sessions in the sauna that is ruining it for everyone else (we call him sauna guy). We're not talking about basic stretches either, were talking full blown legs up in the air, grunting obnoxiously, doing the splits. Last time I was in there, he was literally doing the splits on his back; spread eagle for all to see! The only reason I'm putting this review in is because the owner and / or management need to know about this. I have already complained twice to the front desk, but the 20yr old kid on shift isn't going to do anything about it. Front desk kid even said they 'talked to the guy already, but he wont stop.' Hey how about suspending his membership? Then revoking it? It's not rocket science how to solve this problem. I don't care if he wants to stretch so he can get good at 'the splits' and I don't care that he wants to be nude, I care that he wants to do both at the same time and take up half the fkng sauna. Wear speedo shorts or don't put your balls up in the air. It's one or the other my guy. For clarity, I have included some images (not sure what yelp did with them) to help demonstrate to management the types of moves this guy is doing (while naked). He is visually assaulting my retinas and I've had enough of his inappropriate exhibitionist behavior. I'm just as tolerant as anyone else, but this creep has got to go! read more

I am giving it 3 stars for these reasons. The positives: Convenient location on the north side of town, lots of equipment, open majority of the year, and minimal or no wait for machines. The deduction of two stars: Lots of gym members like to workout barefoot. The staff does not seem to care or want to address the issue. This is disgusting and unhygienic. A lot of the members don't wipe down machines after they use them. The price is bit hefty considering the older equipment. read more

Good gym especially if you love tons of people working out barefoot with no intervention from staff EVER. Nasty. I honestly see this daily with a variety of different culprits and never encountered this at any gym before coming here. Otherwise its soso. Missing some important machines, but for some reason doubles of machines that noone will use. Lot of equipment is old and could use a refurbish. Solid cardio options though. read more

This gym has potential, and maybe it will get better (it once was good), but... good thing they have short term memberships! The staff is apathetic, just punching the clock. The equipment is not maintained. The Concept2 Rowers haven't been cleaned in years; the dampers are all set to 10 and still have no resistance. The rest of the equipment -- not sure if it's safe. If they don't take care of something that easy and obvious as the rowers, I'm POSITIVE they don't maintain and check the cables and such in the rest of the gym. It's an accident waiting to happen. But again, the bones of the gym are good -- I hope they turn things around. Recent reviews are all pretty bad.Staff is rude. Before you workout -- check the safety of the equipment yourself; the staff sure doesn't do it. read more

This is the best gym I've ever been to major cities and small towns . The Best ... extremely clean , well maintained and very well equipped. Every member is greeted with warmth and appreciation . During the peak Covid period they went miles and miles beyond requirements to make sure everyone felt safe . I wish there were more gyms like this ... but it's good and satisfying to know this place exist in Santa Fe !!' Makes working out a greater pleasure . Couldn't love Santa Fe Spa more . I like this gym but the music needs to change. This morning we went from loud Dad Rock to My Heart Will Go On to EDM and then back to 80's dance music all within 5 songs. Truly chaotic and not great at 8 am. Please pick a lane and stay there. I feel so bad for the trainers who have to listen to this garbage playlist all day. Do not forget your headphones. read more

Cool space with plenty of equipment, free weights, several squat racks, and two Saunas! One is a traditional steam sauna, the other is a dry one. There are even Power Yoga classes. Kind of expensive but so is everything in Santa Fe. read more

Visited from out of town. Superb gym. One of best I've been to. Large and has tons of equipment. Even multiple of the same machines. And niche weights - they also have a lot of. Like 3 sets of 12.5, 17.5, 22.5, etc. and dry sauna (rarely see that). Overall A+ read more

Spent a few months in Santa Fe and couldn't have been happier with this gym while I was there. The staff was super friendly and welcoming every time I visited. And most importantly, I barely ever had to wait for a rack or bench. Plenty of weights, machines and tons of treadmills. I cam at busy times as well as down times and still never had issues using the equipment I needed -- and that's not too common in my experience. Was sad to say goodbye but if I were still in Santa Fe I would still be going to this gym. Thanks guys! read more

Santa Fe Spa is one of the best gyms I have ever utilized. Plenty of weights and machines, and many, many aerobic machines. I only have two complaints. It's expensive (less so than say, 24 Hour Fitness, but most expensive in Santa Fe) and no pool. Not that many places in Santa Fe have a pool, but that's why its so essentially for a fitness facility to provide one. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, and the building is large, so even if crowded it doesn't feel claustrophobic. read more

I have been going to the Spa for a few years now, and anytime I come back to Santa Fe during a break from College, the Santa Fe Spa is one of my first stops home. I love that they have a variety of gym membership options (form 1 week-1year). The staff is nice and friendly, and it is always very personable the second one walks through the door. I personally spend most of my time where the classes are taught because there are so many amazing Personal Trainers that have classes throughout the week (my personal favorite classes being Carlos's Zumba class and Michelle's "Abs, Thighs, Buns, and Arms" I am always sad to leave Santa Fe (and the Spa in particular) when it is time to go back to school, but I always plan on coming back to my favorite gym whenever I am in Santa Fe. read more

This is the first gym I grew up working out in avidly as a teen about 25 years ago. I loved it then and I love it now! I moved & have been gone for over 15 yrs. To walk in now and see Randy, John and alot of the same trainers and even members says alot about the business. So many kind smiles & familiar faces!! To me it feels like home, and to be recognized after so many past years and a few extra pounds is a good welcoming feeling. :) This will always be my favorite gym in Santa Fe! This is an incredible gym!! I honestly can't say enough good things about it. The staff are so friendly and helpful and make you feel like you're at home. I was visiting from LA and my partner and I came every morning and they always remembered our names and were such a pleasure to talk to! The facilities are incredible, lots of cardio equipment, free weights, and machines. The bathroom is really like a spa and every part of this gym is clean. I was in town for work and wanted to stick to my work out schedule as much as possible so I tried this gym based on the good reviews. I was greeted at 6am with enthusiasm and warmth, given a temporary locker key and experienced a clean gym with a lot of available weights and benches. Went 3 times, each time was treated with excellent customer service - can confidently recommend it to you and I barely scratched the surface of what they offer their clients. read more

Traveling out of town and need to work out every day. They were very accommodating and helpful to ensure we got out what we needed. Plenty of equipment. Some older stuff but to me as long as it is large and flexible it works. Not into cardio but there was plenty. Only downside I have 4 is lack of Olympic type capability, like to squat and dead lift and wasn't ideal for that. read more

We have never been in such a sleazy gym in our lives. We joined this gym for a month while renting a house in Santa Fe, as it was the only place with monthly membership The place has a lot of equipment, and the guys working at the front desk are really nice. But, the clientele and the ambience are downright sleazy. The hygiene is awful. There are people working out without shoes on, even on treadmills. There are no towels and no cleaning spray or wipes to clean the benches and machines, so who knows what germs you are picking up. And I really saw someone take a bite of an energy bar and then set it down on the workout bench. And, there are a fleet of personal trainers who act like buzzards in the place. They are free lancers, so there is not the professionalism of feeling like they are gym staff. Instead, they are not uniformed or identified in any way, they are just hanging out, working out with clients, or eating snacks and taking up space in the main gym when they are between workouts. read more

This gym is spacious and not too crowded (esp. compared to California gyms). Its equipment is plentiful and varied, reasonably new, and well-maintained. Service was very friendly and prompt. Locker rooms are beautifully tiled, spacious, and have steam and sauna. Guest fee is $10/day. read more

I looked at many gyms in Santa Fe when I moved here in July 2015. This was by far the nicest in town; but it is far from the nicest I've been to in my lifetime. The space is large enough and the equipment is adequate but somewhat dated. The men's locker room has a sauna and steam room, which is nice, but it smells like cat urine. It's your beat option but don't have high expectations. read more

I must be spoiled by good gyms but I can't seem to find one in Santa Fe. This is one of the okay gyms here in Santa Fe. Some of the weight machines seem really old and clunky, but overall the general feeling was friendly, I will agree with that. My biggest problem with this gym is the top 40 hits that play just a little too loud. I like the music, but I can't listen to the SAME SONGS all the time, especially when they are lousy to begin with -- maybe they should mix in a little classic rock once in a while. This is the best gym in Santa Fe. Comprehensive selection of equipment, spacious, clean, with steam and sauna. Plus, the guys at the front desk seem to know everyone by sight and you can check in by walking through the door, making eye contact, and waving. No track, pool, racquetball, or tennis--for that I use the park district facilities. read more

I was here for just a week and was warmly welcomed to the Spa. I came in for Zumba, and was lucky enough to take a class from Nicole. Hey, this ain't no little old lady Zumba! It was not only fun, but it was a kick ass cardio workout. Not only that, Nicole is a talented dancer and so much fun to follow! Class members were welcoming and actually inviting! As far as gyms go in Santa Fe, I choose this place. The staff is warm, friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable and while it's not chock full of brand new equipment, there's plenty to work with. The trainers really care about their clients, except for this one guy who seems to mostly look into space when working with people. They have a sauna and it's very clean in the ladies room wit classes in the back. The club has a spacious feeling, you never feel like someone's sweat is going to come flying st you. Everyone minds their own business and does their workout. The other night I gout there late and the cleaning crew let me finish up while they worked. That's so nice! read more

Carlos teaches the BEST Zumba class in Santa Fe! I have so much fun every time and leave drenched in sweat. He choreographs sexy, fun dances that can be simplified for beginners or taken to an advanced mix-fit level for extra cardio. As a retired dancer I especially appreciate the non-competitive, inclusive community of this class. There's an open invitation for anyone, any age, any sex to come shake it ;) read more
