A little background on me - I am 68, overweight but active and I probably get a deep tissue massage once every two weeks. It has been a stress relief, a proactive physical remedy and all around health benefit for 40 years. I have had massages in 20 different countries, most good, some really bad and a few really good. This massage, by Frankie was one of the best ever! She takes the time, off the clock, to ask the right questions. Then, when she starts the massage, she is so intuitive to know just the right things to do, adding stretching when needed. I felt like she worked on me for two hours. It was truly amazing! The spa itself is simple, very clean and comfortable with a state of the art massage table. You could tell Frankie wanted to make a difference in my life. She wasn't just going through the motions. The b-rex online registrations are always!!!! horrible! Let's start with connection. I am sitting IN one of the rec centers right now, so they cannot blame this on my wifi. The sites are slow and not well designed, both of which lend themselves to their dropping you mid-attempt to register. Pointlessly very frustrating to have to start again three times before getting all the way through. The Bay and the rest of the Broomfield rec centers are not connected City entities?! What?! The equipment and pools are good. I especially appreciate the choice of water temps, and the first class lap pools at the BCC.

I can totally understand talking about maybe a favorite product but she did it about everything. Not at all the blissful tranquility I was seeking. My experience has been 90% good, except for the light situation. The staff has shifted quite a bit and my last experience made me not want to go back. I hardly ever write reviews, because I do not believe that one bad experience should taint a business for bad service, but when the business is not willing to serve the customer, that's where I draw the line. I waited for the bed to heat up, and waited.... I thought at some point it was getting hotter but it cooled off again. Time was up and I did not sweat. When I told the young girl, she said "sorry, the beds act funny some times" to which I said, "can I please get a re-do, given that I paid for a session and the bed did not work?" The answer surprised me. "We don't do re-dos. sorry. You can ask for a different room next time" Wait, what???? so you want me to pay for a service I did not receive and be ok with that? All I want is for the business to make it right. To give me a pass so I can get what I paid for. Instead, they have a VERY unhappy customer who is now taking the time to write something bad about their customer service when I could have easily written "They took good care of me when the bed didn't heat up" How hard would that have been? I will take that pass, if you would like to improve your customer service. I would come back here and correct my review if that happens. If not, I cannot recommend this business because the bed will be hit and miss and the one that would lose is the customer.

Yeah, they've been up and down over the years, but the consistent trend is constant improvement. For the money, there isn't a better deal for hockey anywhere nearby. Members get drop-in hockey at no additional charge and league games at very reasonable prices. I brought my son out to the learn-to-skate program when he was three. When it turned out he wasn't quite ready (which he proved by sitting on the ice crying for 30 minutes), the skating staff cheerfully offered him a free session when he was a little older. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. I've always felt secure leaving my son with the child-watch staff. They even were kind enough to watch him for an extra fifteen minutes once when I didn't realize my hockey game went beyond their closing time. The weight room is also very nice with a fair assortment of free weights complimenting a solid number of weight machines, treadmills, stationary bikes ellipticals and such. There is also a good sized gym and indoor running track. Of course the Y offers a number of fitness classes as well if you're interested in a little motivation. In all, I'm very pleased that I found the Y after playing at other venues for years. I was disgruntled by the way programs were run at nearby rinks, but I wouldn't have found the Y if they'd done a better job.
