I wanted to love this spa. In fact, I loved everything about it except my actual facial experience. This is a relaxing, high-end spa. Unfortunately the facial wasnt not at all the same luxury spa experience. The woman performing the service spent the entire facial giving a sales pitch about each product. Not at all relaxing. It felt like I was at a product demo. Not sure if this was her style to try to sell product, or the spa pushes her to act this way. It ruined a $300 facial. I can totally understand talking about maybe a favorite product but she did it about everything. Not at all the blissful tranquility I was seeking. I had a fabulous experience here. I got a 50 min massage and the person booking my appt told me there was an opening for a complimentary infrared sauna session beforehand. I also like that the waiting areas and separate- I had the room to myself with tea and snacks before my session. The massage itself was excellent. I had Shannon and she did a really good job. Booked 2 appointments wayyyy In advance of the date. This was after calling three or four times and not getting a return call. The day before my appointment they told me that I couldn't have one of the appointments I could have a totally different time. However, the point is to go with a friend to the spa and enjoy the experience together. I told her my friend could have my appointment and I would wait for her or do something else. She refused to change the appointment to my friend name, she was very rude and disrespectful. Made no sense at all why they couldn't change one name for another. My friend was coming from out of town and this was important to us. I know know they were trying to get me not to cancel. that's why they wouldn't do it. They should be more concerned about the customer than about the money. Don't go here!!! they're rude they don't answer their phone and they were going to be very very very expensive. My husband treated me to a couples massage here over the weekend. It was such a great experience. Every single staff member was so kind and welcoming. Their spa facilities are small, but clean! They offer an infrared sauna, nice showers/robes/ and amenities. Savannah was my masseuse and she did an awesome job! She checked in when she needed to and gave good pressure! I had a 50 minute massage with Lisa and the massage itself was excellent I give it five stars! I had some very tender areas on my neck and shoulders as well as a start to a bad tension headache. I felt much more energized and was able to enjoy my evening relatively pain free. Normally I expect more amenities from a spa visit at a resort or large hotel. The sheets on the massage table were very worn and almost scratchy. The robes were also very worn out looking. There was no formal leg bolster instead just some sheets seemed to be under the top sheet. The women's locker room was very small and awkward to try to change into. No sauna or steam room from what I could see. They do have a pool and hot tub / gym. I am guessing you have access to it even if you don't stay at the hotel read more

The front desk attendant and my nail technician were both very sweet, and the pedicure I received was basic, but good. However, for a $100 (!!!) "Zen" pedicure, I was expecting much, much more. I have gotten a zillion pedicures in my life and this was no different than a $35 pedi at your local strip mall nail salon, just drawn out for 75 mins. Mokara Spa, step up your game (maybe aromatherapy? dimmed lights? blanket? eye masks? champagne?) OR lower your pricing... I feel completely cheated out of $100. Two of my friends and I booked pedicures and planned a pool day. I arrived first as they weren't able to get us all at the same time (they only had one person working). When my friend booked she told them we would all need shellac polish removal. When I sat down the lady was obviously mad that I had shellac and said she wouldn't have time to do my pedicure but she could do a polish removal and repaint them. I was annoyed but trying to be understanding agreed. A polish removal I believe is $20. When I paid at the front the receptionist told me I have to pay the full price for a pedicure, THAT I DIDN'T RECEIVE!!!! Such bullshit. I will never return and cannot recommend any others going here. My friend was upset because she recommended this place as her and her mother and sister come here often, usually renting rooms and spending a day here. What an awful way to treat your customers. read more

The spa was nice and they were very accommodating due to us being stuck in traffic and late for our massage. The staff was really nice and the service went well. The masseuse did a great upper body massage on me and even did my legs in a short period of time. After the massage I noticed I had a slight stinging on the back of my my neck but thought it was just my skin adjusting. Got in the shower later and as soon as the soap hit, the stinging intensified! Once out the shower, I finally looked and my skin severely red as well as my skin was broken! I've had quite a few massages before and never had this happen. Very disappointed! read more

We treated ourselves to a mini spa getaway and it was worth it! Adrienne, the hostess, greeted us and offered us champagne or a pomegranate mimosa and special Valentine's cookies. Our first experience was the Signature Pedicure. Our technicians were Deborah and Gina and they were top notch! They were friendly, personable and did an excellent job. We returned the next day for a couples massage. We were met by Adrienne again with the same kindness and hospitality as before. Jami and Sarah were our massage specialists. The massages were the best we'd had in quite some time. The pressure was perfect and the attention to the trouble spots was exceedingly well done. If you need a spa day, the Mokara Spa is a terrific option. read more

We had an Omni gift card and decided to cash it in with a couples massage at the Broomfield property. We arrived maybe 30 minutes early, parked and made our way downstairs to check in. Random note - odd collection of people here at the hotel. Like, really random. Anyway, we checked in after sorting out a little confusion with our booking. They didn't have us down as a couples, which was a little bit of a bummer since you're supposed to get champagne and strawberries which we didn't. I would've thought that the spa would have more amenities like a steam room, sauna, etc., but they only have locker rooms and small private waiting areas. So pretty much everything leading up to our appointment was really just "meh," but I did like my treatment and hubby really liked his. The therapists were great and listened well to help customize the service based on our wants/needs. After our service we decided to take showers and freshen up, but the water wouldn't stay hot! It would change from hot to freezing cold every 30 seconds or so, which I know, first world problems, but that's the most stressful and frustrating way to end a massage! All in all, not a bad way to use a gift card, but I wouldn't go back on my own. read more

I'm writing this review in hopes that it could be made better for future customers, but I am pretty sad about our spa experience here. I consider myself laid back and rarely feel the need to leave reviews, let alone unpleasant ones. :( Here's my positive for the spa: - Our massage therapists were absolutely amazing, beyond professional, sweet, and paid great attention to our needs!! - The facial was refreshing and the lady was nice. - Booked part of our package same day. Other than that here's how our experience went: I booked this to surprise my husband who really needed a day to relax and unwind so I chose the couple's package. I was able to book same day but they didn't have the full package available, okay that's fine, no big deal since they did get us in that day for massages. I was hoping they could throw something in there for not having all three services we wanted available but they couldn't "split packages up" is what I was told, they also wouldn't do multiple days (not that we wanted that anyway but worth mentioning). So we settled for basically creating our own package by doing the couples massage and 25 minute "refresher" facial. I still wanted the champagne and chocolate strawberries (I didn't know about the complimentary champagne) and they said we could purchase that and asked me to come 1 hour early before our services so that the strawberries/champs would be ready when we arrived to enjoy before our massages. We got there and were shown to the locker rooms to change into slippers and robes then to go to the "relaxation room" to wait for our complimentary champagne and also to wait for our ordered champagne and strawberries. Neither of those arrived. We sat in the Columbine room (relaxation room) for a whole hour with nothing. It was a small couch no coffee table or end table to set our stuff on. I went to the front desk to ask what was going on and if we'd been put in the wrong room because the room across from us had nobody in it and two glasses of champagne and it was a lot nicer than our dinky nonrelaxing room! My husband said the one by the men's locker room was even nicer and more spacious than ours too. What gives? It's not like we purchased a minimally priced service or package whatsoever. The front desk said that our strawberries and everything was ordered and we were in fact in the right room but it still never showed before our massages or our facials after that. I would not have shown up an hour early as asked if I knew they weren't going to bring what we ordered for that time frame, we are parents and made extra arrangements for our young kids to be cared for during that extra hour. I would have preferred to wait between services in some sort of spa jacuzzi or something as a couple together. It felt more like waiting around than relaxing which is a bummer when you pay the kind of money these services cost for a good spa day. I did tons of research before booking this place and actually, for not much more at all, you could go to The Brown Palace or Ritz downtown for probably a better experience. They did upgrade our champagne to a cheese/salami plate and chocolate truffles which was sweet but it didn't arrive until we were done with our services and ready to leave. The facial lady was nice but I agree with another reviewer on here, she did push the products a little and I also felt somewhat talked down to because she kept saying this wasn't a "full facial" so I wouldn't get to experience the real deal because we didn't pay for a full facial. We paid for what we thought came with the couples package so I didn't know. All in all, I would not go back nor recommend. The spa should take the advice from 2010 reviews and really upgrade the place or change up the rooms, OR just take the rooms out all together and turn it into a jacuzzi area separate from the hotel guest's access. read more

This spa is inside the Omni Interlocken Hotel. I received a massage as part of my stay at the hotel. Who can complain about a massage? I thought it was well done and relaxing. The spa, as a whole, was not what I am looking for in a spa. I guess I compare all spa visits to a Vegas spa. This was nothing like that. It was by no means terrible, but I would just tell you to not expect a lot. There was no great locker room with hot tubs, cold plunges, steam rooms, etc. There was a co-ed steam room in the hallway. The waiting area/relaxation room was somewhat noisy because of its location. The lockers showed signs of wear and tear. This place was fine. I may even go again because the prices were really good. I would just say that if you are used to Vegas, do not expect much more than a massage. read more

What a great place! The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel pampered and welcome. The ambiance is spot on for a spa. The variety of services are spectacular. It's inside the Omni Interlocken so it also doubles as the Resort's fitness center (exercise equipment) and steam room (open 24/7). My spa services were amazing and my only regret is that I don't live nearby to take advantage of this place more often. If you're ever in the Denver area whether or not you're staying at the Omni, you should check out Mokara. read more

Took a friend in town for visit for manicures. A $40 manicure was more basic than my typical salon that charges $18. Hardly massaged, hardly pampered, offered nothing to drink or use of other facilities. I would never go back. read more

They provide you with a lovely fluffy robe to wear and offer complementary champagne, mimosas, tea, and water. They know how to make you feel pampered! I have been here twice now, once for a Valentines Day Facial and then again for 5280 spa week and both were unbelievable! One obvious full price and one discounted day and yet on both I felt equally pampered. Offered drinks/snacks and I love going to work out first (included with services) and then the steam room and relax before my service. My massage and facial were both amazing! I would recommend them (and have )on a regular basis. They should not be overlooked based on the hotel aspect, locals should flock here as well. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the Mokara Spa. I scheduled a facial and massage for "Spa Week" after receiving a Spa Finder gift certificate from my daughter in February for my birthday. I selected Mokara Spa because the person answering their phone said they accepted Spa Finder gift certificates. I actually found Mokara Spa on Spa Finder. When I went to get the discount, the person checking me out said " we do not accept those gift certificates" - and forced me to pay the full amount. She stated to me that the person who booked the reservation "no longer worked there." That should have nothing to do with what a former employee said, they should have honored the gift certificate that their representative said they did. I will NEVER go back to that salon again. In addition, the receptionists were snotty about it, would not make eye contact with me and I was not offered any of the specials for "Spa Week." Nice hotel they're located in, but lack good customer service and do not keep their word. Go some place else! I will next time! read more

My friend and I were able to spend the whole day for Mother's Day at this beautiful spa! We purchased the complete pampering package for a whole 7 hours of luxurious treatment! I started off with the scrub and seaweed wrap with Leah. then was able to take a shower in their beautiful shower with a thousand showerheads. that also included a fantastic head massage and lotion application. then I was off to a wonderful facial with Gina. the hydrating facial was wonderful. I didn't even feel her extractions and got another head massage! after that we had side-by-side 90 min couples massages by Leah and Lisa. Some of the best I've ever had. we ended our super fun day with lunch and raw earth pedicures. Gina is a fantastic nail tech. they even use Zents products which is a local company from Boulder that I love. unfortunately it was raining so we weren't able to enjoy the pool or hot tub but that didn't matter. it was one of my most favorite Mother's Day treats of all time. read more
