Staff was very friendly and respectful. Asked a lot of questions on pressure and where you wanted your focus to be.

Five stars for excellent therapists like Amy and Cassandra. One star for administrative issues,…read morelike the online booking system allowing you to book appointments that are actually not available as shown, which means you will get a call from the front desk, which makes you question why the online system is available in the first place. But again, you'll get a great massage so it's worth the hassle.

Massages are supposed to be relaxing experiences, but Elements Massage (Louisville, CO location in…read moremy case) really make it a hassle and an overpriced ripoff. Here's my story: I received a gift card for a one-hour massage ($119 value) as a holiday gift in December 2023. I was excited to get a massage but I thought, I am really busy and stressed right now with work, so I will wait until I get a break with work and then I can really enjoy the massage. It was not until the end of June that I had the time to book a massage. Here's where the hassle began... Registering Online Doesn't Work (and you have to speak to a receptionist who upsells you): I went through a lengthy process of filling out detailed personal information (just to book a massage??) including health, contact, emergency contact, billing, and 7 pages of consent forms. When I finally got to the submit page, I was greeted with an error message that said my email address was already in use for another account, and that I would need to call them on the phone to schedule the massage. When I got home from a long, busy day of work, I called and was able to schedule the massage. I explained that I had a gift card for a one-hour massage, but the receptionist encouraged me to upgrade to a 90-minute massage. "Whatever, fine" I thought. So, I went along with the upsell. Then, the receptionist told me she would send me some forms for me to fill out before my appointment. She texted me the 7-page consent form again and another invasive questionnaire that asked things like my occupation. (what does that have to do with me getting a relaxing massage?) Daily Spam Marketing Emails (that you can't remove yourself from): Ever since I registered for my massage appointment, I have received daily marketing emails from Elements Massage. I have unsubscribed 3 times and responded and told them I did not want to receive any more communication. To this day, I continue to receive daily spam emails from Elements Massage. I have had no choice but to block them from my email account. The appointment: Finally, my appointment day arrived, and I was pleased to be greeted by friendly staff and a clean, peaceful environment. The massage was very relaxing and my therapist, Amy, was skilled and professional. After the massage, blissed-out and relaxed, I went to pay... Deceptive Charging Practices: When I handed the gift card to the cashier, she informed me that it was no longer worth the full price of the $119 one-hour massage and that the value of the card was now $59.50. When I asked why, I was told that the full value of the gift card was only valid for 6-months from the date of issue, and that my gift card had expired days earlier, and therefore it was only worth half-value. When I said, "That is really lame." The cashier said, "Yes, it is." And, to her credit, she gave me a $20 dollar "new customer" discount (which she really should have given to me anyways because it was my first time as a customer at Elements Massage). The receptionists also said they tried calling the owner, but he wasn't picking up, so there was nothing they could do. So, I ended up having to pay $40 extra because of their deceitful fine-print gift-card tactics. Furious and frustrated, I left Elements Massage with more tension in my body than when I went in. To add insult to injury, two days later, I received a call from Elements Massage. When I listened to the voicemail, I expected it to be the manager/owner apologizing to me for the gift-card ripoff. No, it was just one of the receptionist with a follow-up sales call to see if I was ready to schedule another appointment. What a joke. For the amount I was ripped off ($40), I could go to any number of massage spas in the area and receive a comparable massage (without having to fill out 7-pages of legaleese in triplicate) and without feeling like I was ripped off. Conclusion: Let me be clear... I will NEVER patronize Elements Massage ever again. What a horrible experience.

Youthbar - Our new space is beginning to feel like home!

After looking into multiple treatment options to address broken capillaries (telangiectasia) and…read moreage spots (solar lentigines), I decided on the Sciton BBL HEROic skin treatment. The claim on Sciton's website states that with their new BBL HEROic treatment, "patients can see noticeable improvements almost immediately". After additional research to find the right provider, I chose Youthbar (based on their reviews) and paid $1,200 to have the Sciton BBL HEROic treatment on my face, neck and chest. Sadly, I haven't seen any noticeable / visible improvements. When the esthetician (Alexis) texted me to see how I was doing after the treatment, I called her back to share my disappointment regarding the lack of results. Alexis then proceeded to blame me for setting my expectations too high and told me that I needed to have a series of treatments before seeing any results. Throughout our phone conversation, she kept saying, "as we discussed prior to your treatment" at the end of almost every sentence. FYI - my expectations ARE extremely reasonable due to the fact that I've had multiple successful skin treatments elsewhere in the past (including Sciton IPL and BBL) with visibly good results after only one treatment. This is exactly why I chose to have another BBL treatment (this time with Sciton's latest improved technology / equipment). Please note that I wasn't blaming Alexis, but it certainly felt like she was shaming me for choosing the Sciton BBL HEROic treatment. Of course, she did mention several times how great the $3,500 CO2 laser treatment is and how it would take care of all of my skin issues. While I'm sure it's wonderful, I had explained to her multiple times (on the day of the BBL treatment) why I didn't want to have the CO2 laser treatment at this time. So, in response to the lack of results with the BBL treatment, Alexis suggested that I text her photos showing the areas of concern and then come back in 6 weeks to talk to her and another esthetician about it (and possibly have another treatment - BBL for the face for $600). Not only is this poor customer service, but dismissing a client's concerns regarding the treatment outcome is not beneficial to anyone. This is not how you grow your business. At the very least, Alexis should have invited me to come back to Youthbar to look at my skin IN PERSON and then figure out how to rectify the situation. Before this negative ordeal, I was excited and looking forward to having other treatments at Youthbar. However, after my experience, I cannot recommend this place. Apparently, they don't care if clients are unhappy when there are no visible results and they certainly aren't willing to make it right (unless you intend on spending more money).
