However, the problem (which is circled) says it was redeemed on June 7th 2021. I also understand that on your end it says I can still book an appointment. However, what I'm hoping you will understand is that you never returned my call or email to let me know what you see. There was no effort to explain to me what was going on until I posted to Yelp. If there was no communication, how was I to know what my options were? Update: after Stephanie's response, I still find myself wishing this problem could have been solved when I contacted the business directly. Found Bodhi on the Mindbody app and was delighted with a 75 minute massage by Stephanie. It was easy to set up an appointment and I was able to complete the intake form online. The form asked some good questions about what kind of music I wanted during my session and temperature preferences, and whether I wanted the table heated and everything was just as I had requested. Stephanie was very responsive to my preferences for pressure and extra work on a couple areas that were troubling me. It was enjoyable and I walked out feeling much better. A good massage/experience with the exception of pet dander that was evident in the room. I was relaxed up until my allergy symptoms started acting up right after the massage. I'm unsure if pets were in the facility but the sneezing and itchiness of my entire body compromised full relaxation for me. I had an appointment on a Monday and my son got sick, they kindly rescheduled me even thought it was only a few hours before the start of the session. They were cordial and quickly found a new time. Then i got an email to fill out an assessment, which was nicely done and easy to fill out. I was excited to go. When i got to the building, i forgot what suite it was that i needed to go to and had to look through my emails to find it, i couldn't find it on their website. The numbers were so out of order and i wasn't sure i was in the right place. The building looked dark and gloomy. Not the fault of Bohdi thigh. Once I entered the right place, i immediately noticed that the lobby area was stuffy and disorganized, it looked dirty even though it probably wasn't. The masseuse listened to all my concerns and addressed them during the session. I was a little disappointed that the online form i filled out a couple of days before, which was sent to me as a requirement before the session, was not available and given to the masseuse. Final update: Massage Advantage, with help from Stephanie, reached out and gave me a few months of free membership instead of a refund, which I agreed to and decided to give Bodhi a try and I was super glad I did! Stephanie was amazing, she found the areas I needed extra focus on immediately, as well as places I didn't know I needed work on. The aromatherapy was soothing, music was perfect and the tea at the end was a pleasant surprise. I will be back. Update: I'm changing this to a 3 star since it appears the issue is really with Massage Advantage and not Bodhi/Stephanie who actually did reach out to me on the 11th via text message which somehow I never got, but she had a screenshot of...strange! Maybe it's my carrier or maybe it's their software, regardless, she did the right thing by contacting Massage Advantage to get back to me on this issue and give me a refund. I recommend going directly with Bodhi rather than Groupon or Massage Advantage, their lack of customer service is not worth the time wasted for the discounts offered through these 3rd party sites...this is how they really get you! Stephanie was very friendly and met me up front when I arrived so I could easily find her studio space inside Salon Republic. She was easy to reach by text/FB (so I don't understand why some may have issues), as she responded IMMEDIATELY to my messages and helped me set up my appointment when I couldn't redeem my Groupon on the site. The massage was 90 minutes long and absolutely perfect. Everything was worked on, and I left feeling relaxed. I had requested for my neck/shoulders to be worked on, which was awesome, but I hadn't realized I had had so much tension in my lower back - when I left, I noticed there was this amazing lack of tension in my lower back that yielded less restricted movements. Love it! The music Stephanie had playing was just right, and the oils she used added to the experience. While Salon Republic may at times be a little noisy, the music certainly hid it well and provided the right amount of ambiance. Also, her massage table was (surprisingly) better than others I've been on. Finally, when I chatted with her during the massage, she was friendly and talkative as well. But when I became more relaxed and fell quiet, Stephanie also followed suit and followed my lead - I find that to be an important aspect as well, something that not all massage therapists seem to pick up on (whether you want to talk or want silence). What I find nerve wracking is how hard it is to contact her and make appointments. Not all of us are Internet savy and I find her website so frustrating I want to tear my hair out. I had a friend give us 3 massages through group on and I couldn't find an available date for the massage on her website. Every date I chose kept telling there were no available appointments. Moreover, I have emailed and called multiple times (and to multiple email addresses) in the last several months and have gotten no reply. I had massage credit that disappeared, I do not know why, and I have been trying to use the credit for months without being able to get an appointment. I was excited to receive a Groupon for my birthday and was looking forward to a great massage since this place had great reviews. I'm sad today say I'm disappointed. First, my appointment was confirmed for 7:30 then I received a text asking to change my appointment. I was fine with that, I'm flexible. But then I arrived at my appointment 15 minutes early as requested. The massage therapist didn't come get me until after my appointment was supposed to start. Then to my surprise it was a male massage therapist, I specifically asked for a female. Why ask for preference if you're not going to give your client what they asked for. I had put in for a call in case of cancellation online, and Jill called me back and got me all set up. She is great. I have been in to see Omar for massage as well as Stephanie, and they were both excellent! Very professional and knowledgeable. I think when you get a deal like Groupon/Living Social offered you have to know they are overwhelmed and give them a break. These guys are the real deal.
