I have had neck issues for over ten years and I am an Ironman and ultra marathon runner. I could only breathe on one side when swimming and my neck would cramp after 80 miles on the bike. After 6 weeks of neck therapy and physical therapy I can now breathe on both sides. My neck doesn't hurt anymore and I have full range motion. Ted (Dr. please!!) first put me on decompression machines to pull and relieve my spine. Second week was my first manipulation which was spectacular. I never knew my neck could crack like that! After 6 weeks I feel amazing, I swim better, I sleep better and I feel less stressed. My son has had ankle pain for almost a year so I decided to bring him: guess what?! When I asked for clarification, the responses felt vague (e.g., "muscle strain" or "tension") and did not provide a clear understanding of what was actually occurring. After seeking a second opinion, another chiropractor was able to perform an X-ray and provide a more detailed diagnosis in one visit than I received after three sessions at your office. Additionally, during my last visit I waited approximately 20 minutes before the massage therapist entered, and the treatment was performed on the opposite side of my body from where the injury was located. At that point I needed to leave to return to my daughter and did not have time to address it in the moment. I am also unclear about the $50 deposit I paid. I was told my insurance covered the sessions and that the $50 went toward a balance, but I was never informed what that balance was or provided with a receipt. They are super sketchy and evasive when talking about payments. Do not recommend.

Dr. Crooker and Mindy run a tight ship at Bryn Mawr Wellness- from the gorgeous office that is conveniently located off of Haverford Avenue in Bryn Mawr, to the amazingly flexible office hours (I work from 830-530) and was able to come in before and after work which is hard to find with doctor's offices. As soon as you walk in the door you are warmly greeted by Mindy, the most compassionate woman who you can tell absolutely loves her job and apparently started as one of Dr. Crooker's patients! Dr. Crooker treats the top athletes in the greater Philadelphia region- runners, cyclists, avid exercisers and everyone in between. During my first visit with the doctor I explained the pain I was experiencing, my exercise regimen and my previous injuries, and he was instantly able to diagnose the problems and started treating them immediately with the Graston method and the Active Release Technique. I had NO idea that these techniques would be able to get me running in just 3 weeks (when I was barely able to walk on my right leg). Each appointment my flexibility was improving and my pain was decreasing and within 6 appointments I was back on my feet. I cannot recommend Dr. Crooker enough- he is the most gentle, understanding, knoweldable, friendly, personable and hardworking chiropractor I have ever met, and am so thankful for my mother for referring me to him.
