It turned out that when my wife called on Monday (4/28) to book an appointment for Thursday (5/1), they put her down for Thursday 4/3 instead. Even after discovering this mistake, the receptionist still insinuated that we failed to show up to the 4/3 appointment (it would have been barely 2 weeks post-partum and there was absolutely no way we could have scheduled that appointment; we called on 4/28 and didn't even get our referral until Friday 4/25). She eventually chalked it up to a "communication" error. How can them putting the wrong date, 3 weeks in the past, down being a communication error?! I understand that mistakes happens. But not once throughout this interaction did we receive an apology and instead left feeling like we did something wrong. We have had pretty much perfect experience with the AdventHealth network in the past, so we do hope that this was a once-off oversight.

I had a tendon transfer and calcaneal osteotomy surgery on my right foot which corrected the initial problem but caused other problems, nerve damage and more even pain.. I was introduced to Carolyn from Florida at Select Physical Therapy and she listened to what I had to say and expertly evaluated my situation. We started a regimen of exercise, stretching and massage. Unfortunately, the chronic condition in both feet bringing me pain were not relieved and I am becoming unable to walk. I've been to a number of PT's and I just have to compliment Carolyn. She was easy to talk to, interesting and adjusted her efforts according to my needs and pain levels. Her level of experience and professionalism was refreshing and appreciated and I trusted her judgment. In the end and due to pain, we had to sideline most exercises for massage. I really do not understand how this place has such good reviews…read more My Insurance does not cover PT until I hit my deductible so I was very sure to get pricing ahead of time. I was informed that it was $150 a visit. I ultimately only had 3 visits as I was disappointed in the service. At every visit, I handed over my card to pay and was told the total due was $150. Well, I just got a HUGE bill in the mail, and it turns out she only charged my card once (so why did I hand my card over at the other two visits), and the price is MUCH more than $150 a visit. I would not be so upset if the service was good and they were upfront with pricing, but they definitely misled me with the amount I would be charged. The reason I stopped going after three visits is because my 30-minute visit was much shorter. My therapist often had me spend the first 10 minutes on the treadmill warming up. Well, at the rate they are charging, that's a $70 walk. Then we would spend the next 20 minutes actual doing PT. The place is so crowded that often the equipment he wanted to use was taken so we would do something else. Then the patient after me would always show up 10 minutes early and he would spend his time split between us. So I really only had 10 minutes of undivided time with my therapist, which cost me north of $200 a visit. I ended up finding a local PT provider. They charged me less than half of what this place charged me and spent a full hour with me. I could not be happier with them. While everyone here was nice, it's ultimately a large corporate company trying to make the most at the cost of their patients. I HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere. Edit to add:After paying my bill in full, I got a letter from a debt collector on their behalf saying I owe them money. I only got one bill in the mail, and I paid it the day I got it. Why didn't they call me or send more letters before sending something to collections and hurting my credit score. I have never had something sent to collections in my life or have had a late payment for that matter. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

Unfortunately Emily is leaving the practice which is a bummer as she was wonderful to work with. Andrew hired a new worker named Kelly who my husband works with and he has also had nothing but positive things to say about Kelly. Our issue with this practice is the front desk. The woman at the front desk has given us many issues over the months we have been coming. She NEVER answers the phone. When you finally hear back from her she will text you and not in a timely manner. When you finish a session the therapist will say "why don't you schedule with the front desk for 2 weeks out" while making eye contact with the front desk worker. When you walk over to make an appointment she will ask you "so looking to make an appointment next week?" No. If you listened and were present in the moment you would have heard the therapist tell you to make an appointment in TWO weeks. The therapy office is quite small and quiet and usually it is only the two therapists their patients and the front desk woman. There was an occasion where she called to make a personal appointment for her children which usually I would not mind but if you can't use the phone for your job but you find the time to use the phone to make a personal appointment that just is not right. I came to the practice first and I recommended that my husband come so he tried over 10 times to call and make an appointment. While I was at my appointment I told him to call and I watched her DECLINE his call. I finally told her to check the phone and explained he has been trying to make an appointment for a couple days now and she TEXTED him to make an appointment. When we both finally started going to the practice there was a time where they mixed up our names and booked an appointment for my husband under my name, we reached out to get clarification and make sure he still had his appointment and she would not answer the phone. We finally got a text message hours after confirming she had mixed up our names. I left a jacket at the practice one visit and called over 10 times trying to explain and have someone hold it for me for my next visit. Again no answer, so I left a voicemail and I get a text saying she will hold onto it. I had an appointment and my car would not start so I tried to call the practice to let them know I wouldn't make it. To make it a point I called 25 times with no answer. So now my therapist Emily will likely perceive this as a no call no show event as the front desk woman will never answer the phone. I don't know what other responsibilities she has in her role but from what I have witnessed she does not contribute in a meaningful way to the practice. I am lucky to have graduated the practice with the help of Emily and Andrew so I will not have to deal with her anymore. Dealing with her made my overall experience at the practice much worse and unfortunately when I look back on my time I am grateful for the therapists and frustrated with the front desk experience.
