Communication was lacking and they damaged multiple items in the bathroom. One of the items that they broke was a toilet that they said they would repair / replace. Its been months and I have repeatedly called them for an update or for my next steps.. They are effectively ghosting me. I purchased and replaced the toilet myself. Don't believe the positive reviews.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Whatever good reviews you see, were under old ownership. The new owner,…read moreLevi Borsca, is an insurance scammer and should be investigated and arrested as far as I'm concerned. My insurance adjuster is the one who sent them to my house as one of their "preferred providers," but even she made a comment that she "wasn't sure about the new ownership." There was only one guy/kid who ever came out, Daniel. Daniel was the assessor, the measurer, the packer, mover, the cabinet remover... Yet, I had to explain to him what cork flooring was... he had no idea. He also believed he was qualified to set up containment and remove asbestos in my home, which is strictly to be done by a legitimate abatement company, which ServiceMaster (SM) is not. He was actually caught by the legit company, and Daniel and SM were fired on the spot. But because he had the A/C on while he did this, we have been out of our house going on 8 months now, and in a legal battle to get them to ensure my home is safe before we can move back in. It's been an absolute nightmare! There have just been so many lies and broken promises made by this company and just straight up shady stuff. Like when I would pay for something, they told me to give them the receipt to submit to insurance, when obviously I could do that myself. They kept insisting that I allow them to do the pack out of my kitchen, even though I told them I preferred doing it myself as I needed to make sure I had access to certain things. Then they told me my things were to be stored in a POD in my driveway, but when they came, (and two days after they said they would), there was no POD. They said they were taking my stuff to a "local storage unit" and that I would be given a code or key to have access. When I questioned them for it, they said "I can't have access to it till everything is done." It's as if they were holding my stuff hostage, trying to get me to agree to let them finish the job... AS IF!! To this day, they cannot produce a storage receipt. It is my sincere belief, that my stuff was in someone's garage or just kept in the truck while they were billing the insurance for "storage unit" fees. Every job that should be done by someone more qualified, they did themselves, but were probably billing insurance as if the qualified people were actually doing it! Then after the screw up with the asbestos, stupid me did not move the key I had hidden for them, and my neighbors actually witnessed them going into my home, AFTER BEING FIRED, removing drywall (evidence), not bagged or contained, and throwing it into the back of their truck. When I told Levi that we were hiring a public adjuster to look into his wrongdoing, he produced a report a week later - suspiciously ordered by another company he owns - that could clear him of wrong-doing. No one, not even insurance had even heard of this company before, and insurance is supposed to approve everything first. And apparently, my insurance is standing behind this suspicious report, (which only tested for what could clear SM, not all the other standard elements that would normally be tested for), which I can't understand. So here's another bit of warning... don't use Farmer's insurance either!!

After my insurance company caused complications that led to First Call terminating the job which I understood, I received an invoice in May of last year. I paid that balance in full with two separate checks within two weeks. I have the receipts, the copies of the checks, and the bank statements showing exactly when First Call cashed them. After a full year of zero communication, I woke up today to a voicemail and email threatening to send me to collections within 48 hours. They claimed they had been "trying to reach me" for 12 months, which is untrue. I checked my call logs and my email history; there was absolutely nothing. When I called and provided my proof of payment and the exact dates they cashed my checks, they admitted the "error" was simply because someone forgot to check a box in their system. It is incredibly stressful and offensive to have your credit threatened because a company can't be bothered to check their own bank deposits before sending out threats. As a veteran, I live by a standard of integrity and doing your due diligence. Relying on a "checked box" as the Bible instead of doing actual research is lazy and unprofessional. Do better, not just for your customers, but for the reputation of the guys out there doing the actual work.

I saw that this business had great reviews and that Anthony did both plumbing and general contracting so it seemed like a good way to go. I'm glad I called Anthony. He was very eager to talk me through exactly what he was looking for and how he ruled out various problems. He said he liked to explain every step of his examination so his clients understood his reasoning and process and so they knew they were getting a solid value and no unnecessary repairs. In the end, he ended up finding a gnarly (but only intermittent) leak from one of my sinks. He replaced at a fair price and did a great job and even did extra sealing in the bathroom that wasn't part of the fix. He also gave me further advice on what other items should be addressed (due to the leak and other neglected items) but zero pressure to try and get them done now. I was very happy with the service provided!

Most recently I discovered a…read moreleak in my fire sprinkler system and when he inspected it he noted that the water softener installed by Culligan was reducing the size of the piping upstream from the sprinkler system potentially reducing its effectiveness--though that wasn't the cause of the leak, it could have caused problems in a fire. So he re-did the pipes and suggested installing a Moen Flo device--a whole home automated water shutoff valve in case some other pipe started leaking. His suggestion saved me some money on my homeowner's insurance premiums and I have piece of mind that my house won't flood if a pipe breaks! Previously I hired him to come fix our kitchen disposal and he discovered that our remodeling contractor didn't put an angle in the pipe, causing water to sit--when opened up, the pipe was half-full with debris even though the remodel was only 5 years ago. A new disposal and properly installed pipe saved me a ton of headache in the future! The first time I met him he correctly installed a toilet and vanity from yet another remodeling contractor who did it wrong! He is very straightforward about his pricing and has great advice about the best replacement parts for things that were done incorrectly or poorly by the "other guy".

Jonathan and his crew removed all the flooring in the house, including carpet (and padding) and several hundred square feet of hardwood and some laminate. He sprayed sealant on the exposed underfloors (concrete downstairs, wood subfloor upstairs) and ran air scrubbers for a few days, while isolating various areas of the house via plastic zipper containments. He also did a some impromptu work for me that helped in my renovation: added 6 mil sheet to protect some vulnerable exterior moldings, and alerted me to a place where moisture was getting into the house by one side foundation. I am comfortable negotiating a price based on multiple offers, and this allowed Jonathan and I to work together. I brought Jonathan in to do an estimate based on a referral from my realtor's mold inspector and Jonathan's reasonable ballpark cost estimate on the phone. His in-person estimate was much higher, but he negotiated down to a price similar to the cost from our phone call after I offered to have him only do part of the work and have other contractors do the other parts. I was satisfied with Jonathan's work, especially given his competitive pricing, and would recommend him to others.

Kristen in the office was also super friendly and helpful anytime I called in. But the real MVP was Isaiah. His attention to detail and communication gave me total peace of mind. You could tell he took pride in the work. Jose and Javier also did a fantastic job alongside him, the whole crew was respectful, efficient, and just great people to have in your home during a stressful time. They also went above and beyond by making sure insurance approved the claim before opening up any walls, so I wouldn't get hit with an unexpected bill. Once we had the green light, they got to work quickly, kept everything clean and organized, and handled the mitigation like pros. I'll be using my own contractor for the repairs, so I can't speak to that side, but as far as mitigation goes, Lawton crushed it. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again or recommend them to anyone dealing with water damage.
