Yesterday our gutters were serviced at our home. I don't believed we've had them cleaned since we moved into my home 6 years ago. These are the type of things that get put on the back burner until you realize it's way over due when first rain of the season hit. The technician was very friendly and fast. I think he was here an hour and half total. Please know this is the second time I've had West Coast service our home. Last spring it was for our windows. The guys were careful with the interior of our home and the job was completed inside and out in a timely manner. We hired Damien to clean our gutters and also our solar panels. He responded immediately and scheduled to come in for cleaning the gutters, solar panels as well as install netting around panels and clean under them since there were birds nesting. Before the job Damien was responsive, and professional. However upon finishing the job and getting paid we had issues getting the pictures of the work he did and upon inspection we realized that he had done a very poor job. Netting falling off and part of the gutter not cleaned and debris left on our roof. When we asked him for a follow up he did not respond and he has been unresponsive since. Based on poor craftsmanship, lack of follow up, and professionalism I would not recommend. read more

It takes to ensure clear gutters. I am so grateful that I did not get up on a ladder and attempt to do it myself. For a multitude of reasons. My other Gutter Vendor fell through and Damien was quick to respond to my request and did a great job on our gutters that hadn't been cleaned for 8 years and had weeds growing out of them. We asked him to do a roof bleaching to remove black streaks and moss from the roof shingles and he was able to schedule that promptly. Our roof looks so good now! Would not recommend west coast windows and gutters. Had critter guard installed around Feb 2020 on the solar panels on my roof due to a major pigeon issue we have in this area. Recently we had some water damage to ceiling upstairs and so we called out home builder to come take a look and they confirmed that the critter guard wasn't installed correctly and as a result the pigeons got underneath and left a TON of debris causing pooling of water from the recent storm we had that wasn't able to escape because it was trapped by the debris. See pics below. With the water not able to escape, it made its way underneath the tiles and underlay of the roof. Aside from the roofer that the home builder sent who took photos/video of the issue, No one has been on the roof since West Coast came out. Now I'm stuck paying for two companies to take off and reinstall the solar panels and another to do the roof repair work! Additionally, shortly after I had my critter guard installed I (unfortunately) recommended him to other neighbors who reported that he was trying to charge them a much higher price than what I paid for a similar number of panels, which seems like he was trying to take advantage of the new customers. Well, Christopher sent his 2 guys to clean my windows which cost $700 and they did an average job. They could have done way better on the window sills. They took some screens to be fixed and Christopher brought them back and installed them. However, right after his 2 guys cleaned my windows, the shade screen fell off from the second story which is extremely high. We tried to put it back but it was difficult and dangerous without the proper ladder. Christopher promised to come back and put it up but he never did even though he promised he would.,Won't hire them again. read more

Chris was recommended to me by a friend. I felt his price was reasonable, he showed up on time and did a great job. Why the one star rating? He completely missed the master bedroom and bathroom windows. I called him right away about coming out to finish what he promised he would do. No response. I called several times and left messages each time; he refused to call me back or to come do the rest of the job. If you are going to use Chris, make sure you check all of his work before you pay him. Once you pay him, you will never see or hear from him again. This guy was your typical bait and switch. I used him before so I thought it would be safe to use him again. Gave me a quote that was a good price so I went with him. When he comes out he claims that it was more work than he anticipated so the price went up $250. But even though I agreed to the $250 extra he didn't even complete that part but still wanted payment in full before he was done. After he didn't complete the job, he claimed it would be another $300 to get what I actually wanted done. He claimed that he "didn't understand" what I wanted due to miscommunication but he never wrote anything down and didn't provide anything to demonstrate what he thought (funny how this works in his favor right?). Then he has the audacity to give me attitude! Every time you talk to this guy the price goes up. What's the point of a quote of you aren't going to honor it? He should've eaten that entire cost because that's the point of a quote, especially when I didn't make any changes to the project. Upon recommendation of neighbor who swore Chris did great work cleaning his roof of moss on cement tiles we decided to give Chris a call to get my roof cleaned. This is where you as a customer need to be very careful of this guy and his company. You have to be BEYOND EXPLICIT ON WHAT YOU WANT DONE. Please don't assume what you ask his company to perform is the service you will be receiving. After spending $250 for 45 minutes of work "cleaning the roof" which amounted to removing debris (twigs and leaves) and cleaning gutters that I cleaned not more than a month ago. My wife called me beyond upset because we unwittingly got our neighbors ripped off as well with this cleaning service. My wife spoke with the crew saying this isn't the service we paid for Chris swoops in with a "good deal" of $650 to professionally clean the roof of moss. So, be very weary of what you ask for and ensure Chis has a COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING otherwise prepare for the bait and switch. I tried to let him redeem himself but, he wouldn't come off the price of $650 after I already spent $250 for nothing. NOT RECOMMENDED!! read more

Wow-just wow! We hired them before to clean our windows. They did OK. We moved and needed their service again, but this time we stressed that the window frames/gutters were very dirty. They told us no problem, we will charge $50 more. They also re-screened two windows. Three hours and $455 (yes, FOUR HUNDRED and FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS) later, they left. The next morning we took a good look at their work. Just awful. Several screens were laying on the ground. The little keepers that held the screens onto the window frames were missing and/or broken. Other screens were barely hanging on. One of the new windows had some grease pencil writing that was left there by the window installer. The writing was still there after they 'cleaned'. It came right off with a little elbow grease. Worst of all was the gutters. Taking a damp paper towel and giving a cursory wipe resulted in a gob of dirt coming right up. We did not expect them to look like new, but this was just a huge ripoff. We emailed them to complain, and received NO reply. Sorry, but we were ripped off big time and cannot recommend them to anyone else. Update: the owner emailed saying he would send his guys back to fix the problem, but he has not responded to any of our emails or sent his guys back. Screw it. We cleaned them ourselves. They didn't even try to clean them, they were very dirty, but they cleaned right up. Big RIPOFF. read more

I have used this company twice for window cleaning. They did a decent job cleaning the first time which was in May, 2015. I have quite a few windows and it took them about 5 hours to complete the work inside and out. The owner, Christopher quoted a price ahead of time over the phone based on the number of windows. The second cleaning I called to schedule a month in advance prior to a party we were having in October. The day before the scheduled service Christopher called saying he needed to reschedule as he had somehow double booked the time. I reminded him that we had selected the date a month previously so that the windows would be clean for our party. He agreed but informed me that he would arrive now at 11:00 instead of 9:00. Christopher and one employee arrived at 11:30 with all wet and dirty towels. They spent 2 hours only this time and did a very poor job. The next day when the sun was on the windows, you could see dirt, spots and streaks on every window but especially on the upper windows above the doors. I called, emailed and texted Christopher asking him to return to clean the upper windows again. At first contact he agreed to do so but told me he was busy in the coming week and would call me when he had an opening. I called again and emailed. He said he would come back but would have to charge me more as my windows had hard water stains on them. As I told him, these are not hard water stains; these are new windows that have been installed for only one year. I am so disappointed in the service. I repeatedly asked Christopher, the owner of West Coast Windows and Gutters to at least come back and take a look at the poor quality of his work or partially refund my money so that I could hire someone else. Chris came out to my house in Stockton, cleaned and removed all debris from my gutters. He was able to unplug several down spouts, even though they were on the second story! He cleaned-up all sidewalks and dirt before he left. He does excellent work and he is very reasonably priced! I would highly recommend him. read more

Just wanted to give a heads up to Chris and anyone that would like to use his services. Good luck trying to get him to return once he gets your money and you have an issue! I have a downspout that overflows and never got cleaned. I let Chris know 3 times and he said he would come by. It never happened! I have called 10x to get it unplugged and feel since I paid him for the service and it is incomplete he should finish. I did let him know I would publish and still have not heard back. I called this company to have 8 windows, 1 French door and a 5' slider with their screens cleaned. I live in a single story home. He gave me a quick estimate on the phone and we scheduled the work to be done soon after. Chris and a helper showed up pretty much on time. (9:00 a.m.) Chris left as soon as he got to my home ( an "appt.) and left the helper to do the work. BY the time the worker had done 5-6 windows Chris came back. The helper told me he could not remove the "hard water" spots on my front window. I told him that was not acceptable to leave the spots when I was paying for the cleaning service. He told me Chris had a solution that can remove them and I should ask him about the fix. Chris was back by this time and I told him I do not accept that the spots would remain on the windows. He stated that he could come back next week for another $25.but he had to go away for the weekend and he would call me to reschedule. I have not heard back from him as of this date, even though I called him and let him know I would be doing this review. I am now going to have to pay someone else to come and complete the unfinished work.I made the mistake of paying him for the work his helper had done but don't give him any money until you are satisfied with the job.
