This cab service is into shady business and I encourage anyone who has done business with them to report it on the FFX consumer website ---https://dccs.powerappsportals.us/file-a-complaint/ I was picked up in an unmarked car that had no meter in it, but was using an iPad app for keeping up with the charges. Javier charged me a base price of $5.00 for the initial pick up which is totally illegal, the max is $3.50 in the state, and $45 total for a ride from Reston to Sterling. That would be reasonable for a ride to DC from Reston but for a less than 20 mins. drive was gluttonous. read more

Due to recent mistakes and life-changing events, I have found myself without a car and unable to drive. I needed to get transportation 3 times a week from Reston to Manassas in the afternoon and shopped around different taxi and limo services for quotes. Eduardo at Reston Taxi came in with the best offer for a flat-rate trip so I decided to try them out. I was a bit weary because of reviews, but the service has been to notch thus far. I made arrangements with Eduardo over e-mail, and my taxi was waiting for me at my office at the right time. The car was nice and very clean ... more typical of a sedan service than a taxi service. The cab was a unmarked car, he did show up on time. It was $22 to get from Herndon center to Reston metro stop, seems too expensive. The driver wife was in the car, not professional. His id was not visible, and I did not see the fare meter. I thought that he could be a über driver, there is reason I call a taxi cab and not uber, I am looking for professional service. It vary unlikely that I will use Reston taxi again, unless they change the why they do things. Also the driver took the long way, I live in Herndon I know he added an extra mile and half to the trip. read more

The guy who took the reservation on the phone is extremely rude. I am visiting in Herdon and I am not familiar with the road I am on. But I told him the hotel name, which I expected him to be familiar with. He didn't know about it (which is ok) and I was trying to tell me the address of the hotel. But he was very impolite in the sense that he basically hung up the phone. So it sucks for visitors! I will never pick this taxi company. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The dispatcher was extremely rude and unprofessional. When he asked my pick-up location and destination he flat-out denied me service based on distance. The location is inaccessible to pedestrians and for all he knew I could have been elderly or disabled. There are many other taxi services in the area, I was able to find one to take me without a problem. Steer clear of this one. read more

Mr. Carlos of Reston Taxi came early for our early flight from National Airport. We only knew he was already there by looking out of the window a few minutes before our appointed time. He was very courteous and helped with our bags. The car was clean and nice and Mr. Carlos drove safely. read more

Bad: driver did not have information i provided to get the reservation -- just my phone and address and pickup time. then he didn't know how to put the franconia / springfield vre / amtrak / metro station into his gps -- needed street address. and he spoke little english. i gave him the address and he took me there. I was left stranded by another ride service. I needed to get to Dulles Airport. The airport taxi requires more advance notice so I googled Reston taxi service. These guys came up and I called. They said somebody would be there in 15 minutes. They were there in 15 minutes. I got to the airport and made my flight. Great service all around. read more

I would give them a negative rating if I could. They took a 3.3 mile trip and turned it into a trip over 8 miles. The trip should go NO WHERE near the toll road they had to go out of their way to go to the toll road. NEVER use this company. Very unprofessional service I make a reservation for Tuesday morning, yet the guy shows up Monday morning. I tell him my reservation is on Tuesday so he leaves, upset. I get a call from angry Eduardo immediately afterward, telling me their service doesn't operate on Tuesdays and that I should call another cab service. Yet in the email he said the taxi will be there Tuesday Aug 23 at 6:00am... exactly how I reserved it. They basically came on the wrong day, waking me up early, then tell me to get another taxi from another company. Never going to use their service again! read more

I needed a cab at the ungodly hour of 3:45am in Sterling, and the driver was there at 3:40. I arrived at Union Station in plenty of time to catch the 5:00am Acela, and the fare was no more than had I taken another (less professional) taxi service. Last night, I was picked up and the driver came in an unmarked vehicle, he said it was his wife's car. He proceeded to try to overcharge me for a 3.2 mile trip. I called Consumer Affairs in Fairfax County to complain about this company. I was connected with the person who regulates cab drivers. I was a little shocked to learn that it is an ILLEGAL BUSINESS and we need to warn everyone about this company. Unfortunately they have no jurisdiction, I plan on reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I wish there was something more I could do as a citizen as I would not want anyone else to ever trust their lives in this company's incompetent and illegal hands. read more

Stay away from this cab company. It is a traditional bait and switch operation. Their website lists flat rates for transportation to/from all three DC metro airports. However, once in the cab, they don't honor those flat rates. I even called the day before my trip to confirm the flat rate, which the dispatcher confirmed. Once in the cab the next day, the cab driver wouldn't honor the flat rate. I called the dispatcher from the cab and she gave a lame excuse. STAY AWAY FROM RESTON CAB! I needed a ride to pick up my car at a repair shop in Ashburn. I live in Reston so the shop is about 12 miles from my house. Per their website, the cost per mile is $2 plus the pickup fee ($3) plus the toll ($1.50) The gentleman who picked me up was on time, but didn't really speak English very well but was seemingly nice. When we got to the shop I asked him how much it was going to be. He said $35 plus the toll. I said 'I don't think so, your website says it's $2 a mile' and I went over the above calculations. He still persisted it was $3 a mile plus the toll and after I threatened to call the dispatch he acquiesced. I took out my credit card, that I had confirmed he would take when he first picked me up, and then he started complaining about the fees he would have to pay if I used my card. There was a convenience store next door to the shop so I went into the ATM and gave him his $30. I immediately called their dispatch and asked them how much a cab from Reston to Ashburn would be and they said no more then $30. Really? I explained that their driver told me it $35 and was told they would take it up with the driver and his supervisor and get back to me. That hasn't happened yet. to start this is supposed to be RESTON cab service and when i got outta the hospital they didnt know where the reston hospital was. after finding the address from them (because they were rude enough to say if you dont know where you are we cant help you) it took about 30 min and still no one arrived. i called and the dispatcher rudly said hes on his way and will call you. he called a few mins later stating he was outside (as was i). he start yelling at me. i hung up and called the dispatcher and tried to discribe the issue i was haveing. she could have cared less. i called the driver back to try to figure out where he was when he said his car broke down. to say the least i called another company this was the most unprofessional company i have ever delt with. ridiculous would be an understatement, save your time if your in reston just call nexicab they are the best and will pick u up in a Cadillac. honestly they need a 0 star for reston cab co. the worst ever. read more
