My motorhome was there for service since November 26, 2024 and was completed January 17, when I needed to take it directly to the dealership to replace the catalytic converter which was stolen while in the care of Restless Wheels. They winterized it and then never looked at it again until January 3, 2025 when they discovered the catalytic converter was gone. I had to claim the theft on my insurance, pay my deductible. No apology, when asked to deduct a portion of my bill to help set off the $ 1,000 deductible, it was a NO. No apology, no offer or reparation, nothing. They should be responsible while is was in their care in a "secured" facility. read more

I bought my second RV from them, a pop-up with AC. And for the last 15 years, they fixed several different problems with my third RV, a 24 foot class C. The worse place ever.The manager mark was very rude . Didn't know we was coming for our appointment the day we got there. Argued with me saying I never called and spoke to him which I did . He set my appointment up the day he got back from vacation. After driving from Delaware to get work done he was very unprofessional. My slide is still not working . This is the ONLY place to go in NOVA for any trailer, hitch, or RV needs. I bought my own hitch and harness, called Restless Wheels and explained my situation: I'm moving out of state and needed my hitch connected ASAP! Anthony came to the phone and said if I came in right away, they hook me up right away, and he wasn't kidding. I was going to to it myself (I was!). I'm thinking if I had even attempted it, I would have shown up at Restless Wheels, anyway, dragging my rear bumper and a half-connected OEM hitch behind my vehicle. One of my bolts was rusted on and they had to cut it off, probably saving me two thumbs and a finger. Then, they discovered that I purchased the wrong wiring harness, which was more expensive than the one that they supplied me with! And, Anthony and his ace technician explained everything to me and I pretended to understand! They knew I was clueless, but treated me like the boss, anyway. Now, onto the rest of the staff. The ladies who make the place run like a Swiss train station. Super squared away and amazingly friendly! Due to the time required to cut off that bolt and correct my amateur, Mr. Know-it-All, parts mistake, I got to hang out! Fun place! The whole staff was easy to talk to, and FUNNY! I actually just felt like hanging out! If they served wings and beer (they offered me lunch, by the way... I'm not kidding), I'd probably still be there... and they're closed. Seems like a real family atmosphere and, if I wasn't moving away, I might ask them for a job. Lots of regulars came in and out and everyone was treated like an old friend or downright family. People joking around, having a laugh. No stress. There were places closer to my house. Glad I chose Restless Wheels! Oh, almost forgot... they make EVERY EFFORT to BUY AMERICAN, and it shows. Lots of "MADE IN THE USA" parts on the racks, which seem to have so much stuff that you can probably BUILD an RV buy buying one of everything in their massive and well-stocked store. Where to start? The first visit, a few weeks back, half the work claimed to be done was not completed. The work that was done was shotty at best. I had to return twice to get one and the same issue fixed. Then I was charged twice for one and the same Item. Again a return trip; mind you it is 30 min one way. That is a total of 3 hours that i wasted because of the ineptitude of the staff. But what happened today just takes the cake: I needed my portable water heater replaced and I was quoted 3 hours of labor.(the managers quote sheet had the 3 hours on it). When the work was completed I went and had the technician demonstrate the functionality. While he did that I asked probing questions. It is a small cover that needs to be removed, 4 connectors disconnected, 6 screws removed and there it is, the heater can be lifted of the retainer. Reverse the process and the new heater is installed. Turn it on and verify functionality. How long do you think this would take? According to them this entire operation took 4 hours at $165 an hour. Part 2 of today's rip off. I requested that the wire that connect my trailer to the truck be replaced since they shortened my wire when they did the initial 7 prong plug replacement a few weeks back.(mind you I had to return a total of 3 times before all was said and done) They cut of the old connector and shortened my wire by several inches. Needless to say, whenever i did sharp turns with my trailer, the wire chafed and eventually broke. Replacement of said wire and labor was added to my already inflated bill. In all honesty, I would not recommend this outfit to anyone. Bad customer service, intentional inaccurate accounting when they ding you with labor, and workmanship that lacks the quality of a professional tradesman. read more

Took my wife's 2018 Volvo in to get a hitch. The hitch on this car is extremely difficult. Called and they said they just did one the prior month. I made the appointment and upon arrival I again asked them were they comfortable. The answer I got was " sir we put trailer hitches on Dodge Vipers". Well, that may be but this is a Volvo! I left the car and came back about 2 hours later. Upon returning the owner stepped out and asked what I was quoted as if what ever it was wasn't enough. I said $250. I was charged $275 to install hitch and wiring harness. I paid and walked out with the owner and the first thing I noticed was the gap in my bumper and the body panel. Then I saw a large scratch on the bumper. My anxiety level rose as I continues to walk around the car. I the. Discover two pressure dents as if someone took a tool and pushed from the inside out. I then noticed a larger gap where the bumper wasn't connected. About this time I flipped my lid. I said we can do one of two things, call the lawyer or give me his insurance card. He agreed and got me his insurance card without any hesitation. In addition he didn't even offer to refund my installation cost. I took his card and proceeded to the nearest Volvo dealership. Upon leaving I noticed that none of the parking sensors where connected and that something was flapping the faster I drove. I had to stop my car half way to dealership to get out and inspect what was flapping which turned out to be the plastic wheel well piece. Long story short, the total price was $1900 not including the rental. The bumper had to be completely replaced due to dents and scratches as well as a new heat shield. The final decision was to leave the hitch off as it was on crooked anyway. The body shop guy said it was the worst mess he had seen in a long time. Car is back to normal but not only was it a miserable experience these guys had the audacity to walk me to my car and act like i wouldn't notice. They completely didn't know what they were doing and were totally out of their league. I don't expect people to be perfect and not make mistakes but own hem. If you don't have the skills to do the job don't try to fake it and not do a good job. I actually called the place back and told hem the severity and the manager there said that the installer k owe what he is doing and must have had a bad day. Summary: One of the finest examples of how to keep a store well organized and provide customer assistance. Detail follows. I'm renovating an older cargo trailer, but have limited experience in trailer maintenance. Though my trailer does not leak, the flat roof is rusty, with a lot of caulk missing. So I decided to use an RV roof specific caulk instead of silicone bathroom or window caulk from Home Depot. After some reading, I determined that there are several RV specific caulks available, typically offered as either stiff consistency for vertical caulking and runny for flat roofs. These are referred to as no-sag and self-leveling in the industry. So I thought I'd get some from Amazon Prime. However, Amazon said two weeks was the fastest shipping velocity available. There is a competitor, Camping World of Manassas. However, I called Camping World repeatedly for the simple question of what caulk they had, and got sent to voice mail every time, with no call back. Restless Wheels, on the other hand, was able to describe what brand of caulk they had, one of the two top brands, within a few seconds of answering the phone. So I hitched up my rig and went down the highway. Wow, what a store. Fairly huge, about 8,000 square feet of showroom, all full of every part you could imagine for an RV or trailer. Everything neatly priced in an old school fashion, with printed labels neatly attached to the items. And friendly folks, too. Plenty of help, more than willing to answer questions. Got two tubes of Dicor self-levelling sealant, exactly what I was after. Caulk display had several colors, several brands. Price was outstanding, about twenty five percent less than the Amazon price. Was so pleased with the store that I bought a hydraulic bottle jack, too, even though I could have made do with my junky old mechanical jack from a 1970 Ford Econoline that has a bind in it. Again, a great tribute to the value of a brick and mortar store. Glad to double the size of my purchase in a small effort to keep them afloat. read more

I'm new to RVing and bought a travel trailer two years ago from a guy who used this place for maintenance and recommended it. They've done great work on my 17 ft Sportsman Classic, doing the winterizing and fixing a toilet line leak and repacking the wheel bearings at fair prices and quick turnarounds. I always enjoy picking Mark's brain, the Service Manager on how systems work. No matter how basic the newbie question, he patiently answers it. The service manager needs to be trained on how to speak with people (especially those new to owning a camper) and not sound like he is irritated and just wants to get off the phone. I rarely post a review but I feel like people need to know what they are getting into, especially if they are women ...we are very disappointed with the customer service we received from this company and quality of work We run mobile pet grooming and service our generators regularly as it is our bread and butter Took my onan generator in for 500 hr service. I was not having any problems before that. It was just a routine maintence....oil change, filter and so on and so forth. I got it back, it ran for a week.... it made a strange noise and was running rough. I immediately shut it off and called the service. I was told I would have to bring it in but they didn't have anything till Friday. This generator runs my business. I had to cancel my clients for for 4 days. Oil change was on 8/17. It broke on 8/31. They couldn't get to it until 9/2 . I had to call twice on that day to get status. Was told a screw came loose, fell down in and broke something. Parts were ordered. Yes it was a holiday weekend. I asked for an estimated time, so we could notify our clients . Told to check back on Tuesday. Called on Tuesday and it is Not ready. One part did not come in. Checked on wed, called 4-5 times to get status. At 330pm part just got there and didn't know if could get it finished by 5pm. Asked nicely to please try. Service department said doubted but would let me know. He called at 455pm said it was ready. Picked van up and went to clients on Thursday. Was able to run generator for 3 clients, roughly 3 hours before it died. Went to check oil level and it was low. Found their tool they left laying on the bottom of the generator lol. Put 1 quart in and it started up, ran for another 2 clients, then died. Called service again. Was told to bring it back. So I took back on Friday 9/9. Sat there for 2 hours and had to be insulted by the service manager. They took me out to show me that they had to adjust the settings. They were not set right which was my fault, apparently., because we did not give them enough time to set it right. Took my van, went to do a client was an hour in and generator dies. Call service manager again. Now its really my fault. I didn't let it cool down between calls. (First stop after leaving their place took me 1.5 drive time). [Wrong answer]. It had more than enough time to cool off. I was told that I need to turn the van on and let run because battery on the van is causing problem. (Van is not diesel and battery bran new just installed that morning) [wrong answer]. I put the wrong oil in generator. Really. I put onan Cummins brand recommended by the manual, oil(I use what is recommended by onan). To find out that they used completely different mobile 1 oil. (They using mobile one different weight) [wrong answer]. Why do they use the oil that is not recommended by the manufacture, I don't know. How is it my fault if they do not use the recommemded oil? So they had to drain the oil and do the oil change again and we had to pay again. So now, they are guessing, its my blow dryer and I need to get it serviced. (Being the smart a** that I am I plugged in my back up blow dryer and the generator died) [ so wrong answer] . So, guess what now ? They think the problem is with the fuel pump and I have to bring it back and leave it all day. Oh, but wait ,wouldn't you think that the fuel pump would have been checked at the 500 hr check up. (Hum) I called them back and was trying to resolve the issue nicely, as we have multiple units and it would be nice to get all of them serviced at the same place, but I was told that they have more business that they could handle. Well we brought it back it sit there all day with them and their only answer is its my blow dryer it only died on them once. Upto this point i have paid $ 596.98, $421.27, $200.00 something. And I was told today it would be $110.00. At this point I asked nicely whether it was fair to be charged again even though the issue was not diagnosed or repaired. I was not happy about the fact that they charged me so much money and was going to charge more for the work that was not done properly. I told them that I will have to take it to somewhere else and if they find the problem and fix it I would like to get a refund. After some unpleasant conversation I was asked if I would liked to talk to the owner, which I would love to do hoping that he would address the problem properly and find the solution. Well, the owner did not even bother to make an effort to speak to me. Mark, the representative who we had conversation with all this time, told me that they would not charge us $110 , but we should not bring our vehicles to them any more, which we were not going to anyway due to lack of customer service, poor quality, incompetence and rudeness. I do feel that they simply were taking advantage of us coming up with different stories to charge us more money. read more

I have been bringing my diesel pusher here for 8 years. They can fix anything and are wonderful for me. They can find parts that aren't made anymore or do creative fixes when called for. I have had them troubleshoot and fix things no one else could. After 11 years keeping a high end diesel pusher going, I am buying a new one. They put a new water heater in the RV at a cost of 1,100 We drove it 10 miles. It overheated because the lines that feed from the radiator to the water heater leaked. We lost all of our coolant. The lines were old and should have been replaced. We had to be towed back to their garage. The wrecker was over 500. They didn't apologize for the poor quality work nor did they offer to pay for the tow. They replaced 3 storage batteries at a cost of 750 that were bad. We were a 1,000 miles from the repair garage when we discovered that the new batteries were dead because they hadn't checked to ensure the batteries were charging correctly. Mark the service manager has no clue about what customer service means. This is not the place you want working on your RV. read more

Very Disappointed. We had an enclosed trailer with a roof leak and brought it here for the repair. Despite the fact that we brought it in for a roof leak, they did not take any care to cover the trailer. The roof work was good, but the inside is ruined because they let it sit uncovered in the rain until they repaired it. The water caused a lot of damage, plus it was still very wet and smelled awful when we got it back. We talked to service and the owner but they will not do anything to work with us on the damage that happened while they had it. We are very disappointed and can't recommend this business. read more

Restless wheels has been our go to to drop our RV off for service every year for the past 10 years. Every year we spend at least $2000 on repair for our RV, however every year there are things that are just not done. The last two years I brought it in for numerous items, but one of the major items was my refrigerator doesn't work unless it's on shore power. My generator also doesn't work which I've asked for the past three years to be assessed and repaired or replaced. Every year they tell me it's just fine and then I get on the road and it doesn't work. My refrigerator also doesn't work now for the past two years after paying for it to be repaired. I called and asked if they could look at the refrigerator before I leave for my trip in August. He said the first available date would be three weeks from now. I was disappointed and I ask them if I should find another repair shop. They hung up on me. So they do not stand by their service, they do not repair what they have said that they have, and they basically swindled me for years now. I am extremely disappointed. I would not trust them with your RV. I will also say I as a wife am the one who drops off the RV every time. I usually bring my best friend (another woman) who also helps me drive the RV with my kids around the country when my husband is working all summer. My husband went last time to pick up the RV. They hardly looked at him and took his money and didn't even explain to him how or what they fixed. Seems pretty funny since other women on this page have also indicated that they were not treated well either. I guess we have to have our men folk bring in our RVs in for service,ladies. read more

I emailed and talked to Anthony several times regarding a hitch. I drove out from Arlington to Centerville to get the hitch. When I got there I was told that they didn't have a hitch for me because it was installed in a different car earlier in the week. He was confused between my name and another guy's name, even when the names are not even close. How hard is it to schedule appointment to make certain that you know who is coming in? Took my popup in for service for three problems I couldn't handle. Was told it would take about a week, which I thought was blazingly fast turnaround in June! It was done in two days! The bill was far smaller than I expected. When I hitched up, the brake/blinkers on the trailer wouldn't light. The man who towed the trailer out to my truck checked it out. As I suspected, the trailer electric system was fine. I had allowed the cable to drag on the ground and the insulation rubbed off and caused a fuse in my truck to blow. This man, under no obligation, checked out my truck and found and replaced the fuse at no charge! I can't imagine better overall service. I wish I knew the man's name who helped me with the truck so I could give him a shoutout. The service managers, Mark and Ron, were efficient and competent. I've been taking my trailers to be serviced at Restless Wheels for the better part of 10 years, in large part because it's the closest RV dealership to me. Overall, I've been pleased with the work. Mark and his service team are very efficient. I have never been left waiting long periods to get my campers back. Generally, I think the rates have been reasonable, although they did just raise their labor rates by $15/hour, which is a bummer. I will very likely continue to take my campers here, but admittedly, I've been tempted to try out Reines RV up in Gainesville. The reasons are twofold: 1) after nearly 10 years of loyalty to this business, I'm not made to feel like a valued customer. Mark never remembers me and when I call or go there and beyond that, I sometimes feel like I'm a bother. 2) I've also had 2 instances in the last few years in which my camper has been damaged while being serviced. The immediate response I have received in each case is that I'm lying just to get them to fix something that was broken before I dropped it off. I will say that in both cases, Mark came around and made it right; it would just be nice if he was less defensive and accusatory. I get it...mistakes can happen. I am reasonable. I just wish that after 10 years of loyalty, I would be given the benefit of the doubt and be talked to like my repeat business was at least a little bit appreciated. read more
