Service is painfully slow but food is excellent! It's a great place to wait and eat while someone in your party is zip lining! The view is spectacular and you will see people zip lining super close by. I ordered a sangria blanca which was very tropical and tasty. It was perfect and not overly sweet. For my entree I ordered the rizos de oro I believe. It consisted of risotto, cheese and churrasco with maduros as well. The food was excellent!! My friend and I also shared a delicious shrimp and plantain appetizer with a sweet and savory sauce. The flavors were on point!

From the moment you get to this restaurant, the view is breathtaking. A little advice, take a jacket because it gets very cold. The service was excellent from the beginning. I had the Churrasco Steak with Arroz Mamposteao and it was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and it was very juicy. The rice was out of this world. My husband had the Longaniza Risotto and it was to die for. Definitely one of the best risottos we've ever had. We will definitely come back when we visit PR again.

After a long day of zip lining through the mountains this is a great spot to just fill up your belly! The view across the mountain range is amazing and also the food! The dish I grab of pork and sweet plantains with their sauce was something else!!

I'm sitting here waiting for my travel group to return from their zip line adventures and I couldn't be having a better time. I'm the only one in my travel group who decided against going on the zip lines- and instead planned on staying at the restaurant located here. I've been enjoying the beautiful views of the mountain while drinking Sangria and eating sweet fried plantains. The waitresses have been so kind by letting me stay here ordering drink by drink while I wait for my friends to return... if you're afraid of heights and decide to not zip line- definitely stick around at this restaurant and enjoy the views with some beers and sangria. My Caesar salad was also delicious too.

We are only here to zip line and wanted to eat before heading to San Juan. We were pleasantly surprised. Good full service restaurant. Clearly lots of local eat here too. I had sausage mofongo. Sausage was just okay but mofongo was excellent. Friend had risotto which was fantastic. There was even a band which was unnecessary but nice.

Amazing view, relaxing a little hot if there is not wind the restaurant is completly open and in the top of a mountain.Food is prensented on a fancy way but still have the taste of a real puerto rican food. We had mofongo releno de carne and we aldo tried the empanadas fom the downstairs coffe shop.

This review is for the restaurant. Toroverde Restaurant is excellent! The view is amazing and the mojitos are the best. I had a passion mojito and my boyfriend a regular one, both delicious. The food is great and the mofongo looks amazing although this time I did not have the chance to try one because we only stop by for a drink a small dishes. Everthing looked very boricua with a creative presentation. I can't wait to go back to the Island and have a great dinner at that restaurant.

Wonderful fried grouper and a good tater sauce. The masonry rice was a first and it is fantastic. I got the empanado en plantano, grouper breaded with plantain and served with rum and coconut sauce. The grouper by itself is delicious. So if you get this order the sauce on the side, it's cake frosting sweet, you only need a little layer, then this dish is amazing. You can eat the rest of the sauce like a dessert. We order a Terraza Sunrise to share, good thing case there is a stiff pour of rum and liquor, good to share or pour into a sprite!? Only issue is the Diet Coke was mixed wrong so we switched to sprite. It's an open air dining space that is covered, music from the bar/club next door is in the background. I order rice and beans for my side, very yummy and different from the masonary rice, they look nearly identical but they taste different.

This place is right on the main highway, it's huge and packed so plan accordingly: we arrived before noon on a Friday, so we probably got one of the last parking spots (there's a guy managing or charging in the parking lot? not sure) and the line was manageable. A large group and some buses showed up after us, so it got really crowded! Anyway, we had a short line, had no idea what we were doing to order (I should have researched better) but pointed and nodded, and with some help from the nice people in line, ended up with two huge platters of pork, rice and some other sides - way more food that we probably needed. The food: delicious! I would say our #2 favorite meal in Puerto Rico, after Marmalade (but that was more than 10x the price!) The pork was delicious, juicy, flavorful, and the crackling was to die for! I wish they would package those and sell them - probably only good fresh, though. Rice and sides were adequate: my son tried to be healthy and said the salad and potatoes were ok, but you're really there for the pork. Cost etc.: we paid less than $50 for 2 enormous plates of food and some sodas. It was enough for 3 lunch servings, plus enough leftovers for 2 people to have the rest for dinner - so I guess 5 servings? The wait was not bad early on a weekday, but they must get incredibly overrun on weekends. It is entertaining to see the pork cooking on a spit (please don't come if you are vegetarian and sensitive to such things) and watch them hacking away with machetes. My husband wondered if the machetes are the same once used for sugar cane!

During our trip to Puerto Rico, we made a stop at a lechónera- a restaurant that serves lechón (one…read moreof PR's unofficial national dishes), which is a whole, slow-roasted pig. This restaurant is just one of many open-air roadside spots that serve lechón along "La Ruta del Lechón", aka the "pork highway" in Guavate. We got a half pound of lechon along with Mamposteao, which was delicious and filling. The pork skin hit a level of shatteringly crispy texture that I have never had from non-fried pork skin. We came later in the day, which unfortunately meant that the pork was slightly dried out. However, the texture and flavor of the lechón was absoutely delicious. It's a "build your own box" style restaurant where you choose which sides you want on the dipslay. Besides the mamposteao there were also other delicious-looking sides such as plantains/mofongo, beans, fruit, etc. There's a small parking lot outside the restaurant- one where the rule is you can only back your car into your parking space. Interesting. Would definetely come to try lechón here again!
