As I have reviewed this hotel's other restaurant, Al Capone ( fun name for Italian) we were exceptionally surprised by the large quantity of excellent, fresh, and surprisingly gastronomic food. Best of sitges after 4 years of trips and so many blah blah expensive meals. Had a Caesar with large fresh shavings of parm reggiano, lettuce but also radicchio, more grilled chicken than any other I've had, lightly garlic sauce, and served in a large bowl on their seafront patio by a super nice waitress Sonia. Then a seafood salD with what I assume was artisanal tuna it was so good, anchovies, generous capers and teeny olives, smaller than I've had before. Nicely dressed with a good fresh, non assertive olive oil. And a very well tannined and fruity sangria. I thought I ordered an I iberico ham pizza but received a plate of some kind of cracker and many slices of silky on the tongue and buttery ham. I don't usually like the ham as it's too dry but this was really great. Price was a bit less than most places and we had a discount for staying at the hotel. I wish I took photos . My only complaint is that the olives in the seafood salad were not pitted . It's not pleasant to put a forkful of salad in your mouth then crunch down on a pit...and then have to reach into your mouth to take it out . Those should've been pitted olives especially when their size was almost the same as the capers so you couldn't tell them apart on the evening light. read more
