For being just a block off the Ramblas, the prices here are pretty reasonable. The staff is attentive (unless the World Cup is on), and the TV screens are visible from just about every seat - including those on the sidewalk.
As for the food: My wife's grilled goat cheese salad was very good - a little heavy on the dressing, perhaps, but full of wonderful flavors - walnuts, corn and carrots on a bed of greens, and a very tasty goat cheese grilled to perfection. The "bombas" were tasty as well, and came smothered in their bravas sauce. Again, I think a little less sauce would enhance the experience. My burger was a lot of things... a good size, with a fresh bun, lots of goodies layered upon it, but: they used a frozen patty! It's shape was cookie-cutter perfect. It's dimensions were predictable. And for a thin burger, it was pretty chewy. THAT was a disappointment. I've had a fair number of burgers in Barcelona, most which used hand-formed patties from freshly-ground (or at least recently-ground) beef. This one tasted like it's best days were several months ago.
That said, I'd certainly eat here again if I was nearby and wanted to watch a game. I'd just avoid the burgers. read more
